McLaren To Bring Historic Race Cars & Exclusive Models To...

McLaren brings its celebrated racing pedigree to The Quail. The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, is one of the most anticipated events on the automotive calendar. It showcases some of the rarest, most coveted, and most monumental cars in automotive history and features plenty of reveals of new hypercars at the industry’s highest echelon. However, McLaren is using the prestigious event as a venue for a special celebration. As a manufacturer with roots in racing and a pedigree built on the track, McLaren is celebrating 50 years since it won its first Formula 1 World Championship. Only a decade after the brand was born in 1963, McLaren won the Formula 1 World Championship in 1974 with Brazilian driver Emerson Fittipaldi. McLaren would go on to win eight Constructor’s Championships in total and 12 Driver’s titles. At The Quail, Fittipaldi’s winning McLaren M23 Formula 1 car will be on display. The M23 won 16 Grands Prix in total. As another incredible celebration of McLaren’s proud racing history, one of just six McLaren 750S 3-7-59 Editions will be on display with the F1 car. Completing McLaren’s commemorative presence at The Quail will be an homage to one of the most essential names in McLaren’s history, Ayrton Senna. 30 years after his passing, a special livery for McLaren’s F1 cars and a one-off version of the McLaren Senna, named after the legendary late driver, were revealed at the Monaco Grand Prix. With decades of rich racing history, McLaren’s presence at The Quail will help put the “motorsport” in “A Motorsport Gathering.” View All McLarens For Sale Image Source: McLaren

Lando Norris Rides In Style With Pure Electric's New MCL3...

When he's not piloting McLaren F1's racecar to victory, team racing driver Lando Norris is often seen zipping through the F1 paddock on an electric scooter. And for someone who lives life on the edge while traveling down straightaways at speeds over 200mph, you most definitely can assume that it's not your regular everyday e-scooter. As part of its ongoing collaboration with the urban mobility specialists at Pure Electric, the McLaren F1 Team is proud to debut the all-new Pure x McLaren MCL38 Special Edition as its fourth race-inspired e-scooter for passionate race fans. Mirroring the exact livery of Lando's current 2024 MCL38 race car, Pure Electric reimagined the special edition e-scooter in McLaren's iconic Papaya Orange finish with authentic sponsorship branding and logos. Even the miniature wheels perfectly resemble the 18-inch Google Chrome wheels' vibrant colorway. Riders can expect a more comfortable riding experience thanks to an ergonomic redesign that features folding footpads, enabling a natural, forward-facing stance with feet apart. Lowering the center of gravity makes for unrivaled stability, greater control, and advanced safety. While this McLaren isn't driven by an F1 engine with the ability to reach top speeds north of 225mph, the Pure Electric MCL38 still packs a punch with a 36V battery system and a 15.5mph top speed. And with a full battery recharge of 7 hours and 15 minutes, the cutting-edge battery provides a 31-mile range for longer rides. If you're ready to ride like winning Formula 1 racing driver Lando Norris, the all-new Pure Electric x McLaren F1 MCL38 Special Edition E-Scooter is now available for pre-order for $1,550. Watch F1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen Race The $4M McLare...

With race-inspired DNA, the Goodwood hill climb proved to be perfect for McLaren's Solus GT. Two-time Formula 1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen returned to the driver's seat this past weekend during the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, racing a $4 million McLaren Solus GT up the famous hill climb. McLaren's single-seater hypercar, painted as a tribute to Häkkinen's 1998 championship-winning McLaren MP4/13, ripped up the track, evoking the iconic V10 era of Formula 1. The Solus GT's livery, created by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), perfectly resembles the colors of the legendary MP4/13, with the paint job executed by an original team member from the 1998 season. The Solus GT's appearance is a nod to Häkkinen's victories and McLaren's storied history in motorsports. The Solus GT, first revealed in August 2022, stands out as an example of McLaren's dedication to supplying owners with high-performance, customer race cars. With its naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 engine that revs beyond 10,000rpm and produces 829 horsepower, this track-only monster is a marvel of hypercar engineering. Weighing under 2,200 lbs and featuring advanced aerodynamics capable of generating over 2,650 lbs of downforce, the Solus GT embodies McLaren's racing heritage. At Goodwood, Häkkinen's run in the Solus GT brought the essence of his Formula 1 legacy to the U.K. At the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed, McLaren factory driver Marvin Kirchhöfer set a blistering time in the Solus GT during the Timed Shootout Final, securing McLaren's place as the fastest car at the event for the second time in three years. Häkkinen's drive this year added another chapter to McLaren's renowned history, showcasing the perfect blend of past glory and future innovation. Unleashing MadMac: The 1,000-HP McLaren P1 Drift Hypercar...

Celebrating a decade of drifting at Goodwood, 'Mad Mike' Whiddett is set to tear up the UK's tarmac with his latest project, the MadMac. The 1,000-horsepower McLaren drift hypercar, created in collaboration with Lanzante, reimagines the P1 in a whole new track form. Documented on Mad Mike's YouTube channel, the build showcases a fusion of engineering expertise and innovative thinking. Lanzante's team, led by Dean Lanzante, provided the foundation, sculpting bespoke bodywork to create an aggressive yet functional design. The car was airfreighted to New Zealand for the MadLab team to finish turning it into a flame-spitting, rotary-swapped beast ready to conquer the Goodwood Festival of Speed. @madmike.123 Instagram The MadMac is a one-of-one custom McLaren, fusing a McLaren P1 chassis with a MadLab-built three-rotor billet 20B turbo engine. The blend of British craftsmanship and Kiwi ingenuity guarantees the MadMac stands out. Retaining the original McLaren transmission, the team pushed boundaries by designing a custom transfer case and installing a bespoke steering rack for drifting. Upgrades continue with custom uprights, a hydraulic handbrake, and a collaboration with Rocket Bunny for the bodywork. The work paid off as Mad Mike took the MadMac for a spin around Hampton Downs Motorsports Park, showcasing his drifting skills behind the wheel. @madmike.123 Instagram After extensive testing, MadMac was flown back to England for its grand reveal at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. With a special Red Bull livery, the car was unveiled on July 11, marking a special moment for Mad Mike and his team. This project celebrates a decade of drifting at Goodwood while honoring Bruce McLaren, a fellow New Zealander. The MadMac's journey is far from over, with plans to tour globally, capturing every moment for an upcoming documentary. View all McLaren P1s for sale on duPont REGISTRY by clicking the link below. McLaren Returns To Le Mans After 26 Years With The New GT...

McLaren makes a glorious return to the most prestigious racing stage. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is undoubtedly one of the world’s most respected and feared racing venues, with 100 years of history forging legends and serving as the setting for unforgettable motorsport stories. One of the most prominent is that of McLaren’s victories, when in its debut at the 1995 Le Mans race, McLaren achieved the legendary ‘Triple Crown,’ winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Monaco Grand Prix, and Indianapolis 500, all in the same season. McLaren would continue to be a force of nature at the 24 Hours of Le Mans until 1998, and 26 years later, the celebrated British name in the motorsport world has returned to the revered challenge with its GT3 EVO race cars. Based on the 750S and sharing the new McLaren supercar’s design, the GT3 EVO takes after the McLaren F1 GTR, which wasn’t designed as a race car but, with McLaren’s racing heritage, needed very little modification to dominate the Le Mans grid. The same goes for the GT3 EVO, which takes after the McLaren 750S’s racing-derived technology and engineering to fight for victory at Le Mans. The same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that powers the 750S powers the GT3 EVO, and the power is restricted to meet the GT3 class requirements. Three McLaren GT3 EVO cars will be racing at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, ending a 26-year hiatus and bringing the legendary legacy of McLaren’s 24 Hours of Le Mans performance to the modern era. The race is set to take place June 15 and 16, and anticipation builds to a fever pitch as the countdown winds down. View All McLarens For Sale Image Source: McLaren

McLaren Celebrates 1995 Le Mans Victory With Justin Bell ...

McLaren celebrates its incredible motorsport legacy with Jay Leno. With over 60 years of history, McLaren is known for its track-ready supercars and a celebrated pedigree of motorsport success. The latest milestone in McLaren’s supercar history is the new 750S, one of the British manufacturer's most innovative, powerful, and formidable lightweight creations. Ahead of this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans race, McLaren created a film starring the 750S reflecting on one of its greatest racing milestones, achieved nearly 30 years ago, with the 750S’s co-star, the McLaren F1 GTR, which won the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans being driven by Justin Bell, Derek Bell, and Andy Wallace. The new film features Justin Bell, and prolific celebrity car enthusiast and collector Jay Leno, who reflect on how McLaren’s new 750S builds on the celebrated legacy of the F1 GTR, and it also showcases Jay Leno’s personal McLaren F1, a rare example of one of automotive history’s most impactful and groundbreaking supercars. Both Justin Bell and Jay Leno comment on how McLaren continues to innovate and evolve, pushing the boundaries of automotive performance and engineering, and how the driving experience of McLaren’s supercars is unforgettable regarding performance and dynamics. The end of the film serves as a teaser for something special that will come from Justin and Derek Bell, which will be revealed during the 24 Hours of Le Mans race weekend on the anniversary of their incredible victory and McLaren’s explosive Le Mans debut.
