Project Viva Revealed: One-of-One McLaren 750S Spider Bri...

Ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, McLaren Automotive has revealed Project Viva, a one-of-one McLaren 750S Spider designed and built by McLaren Special Operations (MSO). As McLaren’s bespoke division, MSO is synonymous with the pinnacle of personalization—transforming a client’s inspiration into automotive art. Inspired by the spectacle and energy of Las Vegas, Project Viva embodies the shared ambition and innovation that unite McLaren and the city itself. Every inch of this singular supercar reflects MSO’s mastery of craftsmanship and creativity, blending design, narrative, and artistry into a seamless luxury statement. Reimagining the City of Lights through a monochrome lens, Project Viva takes an unexpected approach in a destination defined by neon color and excess. Rather than recreating Vegas’ glow through vibrancy, MSO interprets the city’s pulse, architecture, and atmosphere through intricate, hand-painted linework. The ‘Sketch in Motion’ livery captures the movement and spirit of Las Vegas – from its iconic skyline and illuminated signage to its rhythm of music and performance – all tied together with McLaren’s own racing heritage. MSO’s bespoke palette for Project Viva includes Muriwai White, a tone inspired by the Muriwai House motif, and Vegas Nights, a new MSO-exclusive paint developed solely for this commission. The deep black finish features subtle cyan, magenta, and green metallic flecks designed to mimic the shimmer of Las Vegas after dark. Each stroke and shade carries intent—every line tells part of a larger story, illustrating MSO’s philosophy of building around emotion and inspiration rather than aesthetics alone. Adding a layer of authenticity and motorsport pedigree, McLaren Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri contributed hand-applied details, including the team’s tenth Constructors’ World Championship star on the rear bumper, alongside signature lines and sketches. Their involvement ties the bespoke project back to McLaren’s legendary track record and dedication to performance. “Project Viva captures what McLaren Special Operations is all about – pushing beyond convention to create something truly personal. It’s where craft meets character, and where any inspiration can become a story told through design. Every commission we create is a fusion of vision and skill, resulting in a car that authentically expresses the inspiration behind it. Whether born from brand storytelling or a client’s own passion, MSO exists to turn ideas into something unique and meaningful,” said Jonathan Simms, Director of McLaren Special Operations (MSO). The McLaren 750S Project Viva will be on display at the McLaren Experience Center within the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel from November 13–20, coinciding with the Las Vegas Grand Prix. For collectors and enthusiasts alike, it represents not just the most personal expression of the McLaren 750S, but also a new benchmark for luxury automotive artistry – where vision, craftsmanship, and performance meet under the bright lights of the world’s most dazzling city. McLaren Set to Impress at Rolex Motorsport Reunion With a...

Along with all the prestigious automotive events and collector car auctions happening on California's northern Peninsula, Monterey Car Week remains a celebration for all things motorsports. And while MCW visitors will find fuel-driven festivities scattered all across Monterey and Carmel, all racing and historic motorsport track days reside at the iconic WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Three iconic McLaren Formula 1 cars will take the spotlight at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca from August 13th to 16th, as the event hosts an official celebration for Formula 1's 75th anniversary. Shipped straight from the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, England, the trio showcases decades of racing history, from the championship-winning 1974 McLaren M23/05 driven by Emerson Fittipaldi, to Niki Lauda's 1984 McLaren MP4/2, and Lando Norris' 2024 MCL38/02, fresh off securing the Constructors' Championship. It's a rare chance for fans to see milestones in McLaren's Formula 1 legacy. While two of the cars will remain on display, McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown will be taking Lauda's MP4/2 for exhibition laps on Friday and Saturday. The F1 celebration won't stop with McLaren. More than 30 Formula 1 cars from different eras will be on display, outlining the sport's evolution with daily showcase laps. Racing fans will also get to see the Mario Andretti Trophy race group in action, featuring 1966–1985 F1 cars from legendary teams like Ferrari, Lotus, Brabham, Tyrrell, and Williams. With the Rolex Reunion's devotion to authenticity, every car is period-correct, selected for its racing history, and as close as possible to its original competition spec. In addition to Formula 1, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion will feature 14 race groups with more than 400 historic race cars, covering everything from early motorsport icons to modern classics. The paddock is open to all ticket holders, making it easy to get up close to these race cars and chat with the teams that maintain them. Whether it's seeing a current McLaren championship car alongside its 1970s and 1980s predecessors or watching historic F1 cars battle on track, the event offers a little something for every motorsport fan. McLaren's $2.1M W1 Will Debut at Goodwood Alongside The ...

Recognized as one of the most historic and prestigious automotive gatherings on the planet, the Goodwood Festival of Speed remains a bucket list event for collectors and enthusiasts passionate about all things automotive and motorsports. It's the type of environment where you'll witness the debut of an all-new hypercar alongside the running of a Le Mans-winning race car. McLaren's showing up big at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, and rightfully so. Leading the charge is the public debut of the McLaren W1, the latest and greatest in the manufacturer's "1" car series that started with the iconic F1 and continued with the P1. The W1 packs a 1,258 horsepower V8 hybrid punch to the rear wheels, active aero tech, and styling that clearly pays homage to McLaren's iconic predecessors. Only 399 are being made, and all are spoken for, but Goodwood is giving attendees a first close-up look at the McLaren W1. It feels like McLaren's way of reminding everyone that it's still very much in the business of engineering record-breaking hypercars inspired by the past and future of the brand. The celebration doesn't stop with the W1. McLaren's also marking 30 years since it shocked the racing world by winning Le Mans on its first try back in 1995. That actual winning F1 GTR, fresh off the museum floor, is back on the hill with JJ Lehto behind the wheel. They've also rolled out a 750S Le Mans edition to mark the occasion, styled up to pay tribute to the ultra-rare F1 LM. If that's not jaw-dropping enough for the diehard McLaren fans, the Solus GT returns to the hill again, likely in another blur of noise and carbon fiber as it sprints up the course. Also getting airtime are ultra-limited "Celebration Edition" versions of the 750S and Artura, created to mark the Formula 1 team's 2024 Constructors' Championship. It's a lot to take in, but in typical Goodwood fashion, it's also a reminder of how fast these cars, and their stories, move. View All McLaren Supercars & Hypercars For Sale Source: McLaren

Watch F1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen Race The $4M McLare...

With race-inspired DNA, the Goodwood hill climb proved to be perfect for McLaren's Solus GT. Two-time Formula 1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen returned to the driver's seat this past weekend during the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, racing a $4 million McLaren Solus GT up the famous hill climb. McLaren's single-seater hypercar, painted as a tribute to Häkkinen's 1998 championship-winning McLaren MP4/13, ripped up the track, evoking the iconic V10 era of Formula 1. The Solus GT's livery, created by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), perfectly resembles the colors of the legendary MP4/13, with the paint job executed by an original team member from the 1998 season. The Solus GT's appearance is a nod to Häkkinen's victories and McLaren's storied history in motorsports. The Solus GT, first revealed in August 2022, stands out as an example of McLaren's dedication to supplying owners with high-performance, customer race cars. With its naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 engine that revs beyond 10,000rpm and produces 829 horsepower, this track-only monster is a marvel of hypercar engineering. Weighing under 2,200 lbs and featuring advanced aerodynamics capable of generating over 2,650 lbs of downforce, the Solus GT embodies McLaren's racing heritage. At Goodwood, Häkkinen's run in the Solus GT brought the essence of his Formula 1 legacy to the U.K. At the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed, McLaren factory driver Marvin Kirchhöfer set a blistering time in the Solus GT during the Timed Shootout Final, securing McLaren's place as the fastest car at the event for the second time in three years. Häkkinen's drive this year added another chapter to McLaren's renowned history, showcasing the perfect blend of past glory and future innovation. Unleashing MadMac: The 1,000-HP McLaren P1 Drift Hypercar...

Celebrating a decade of drifting at Goodwood, 'Mad Mike' Whiddett is set to tear up the UK's tarmac with his latest project, the MadMac. The 1,000-horsepower McLaren drift hypercar, created in collaboration with Lanzante, reimagines the P1 in a whole new track form. Documented on Mad Mike's YouTube channel, the build showcases a fusion of engineering expertise and innovative thinking. Lanzante's team, led by Dean Lanzante, provided the foundation, sculpting bespoke bodywork to create an aggressive yet functional design. The car was airfreighted to New Zealand for the MadLab team to finish turning it into a flame-spitting, rotary-swapped beast ready to conquer the Goodwood Festival of Speed. @madmike.123 Instagram The MadMac is a one-of-one custom McLaren, fusing a McLaren P1 chassis with a MadLab-built three-rotor billet 20B turbo engine. The blend of British craftsmanship and Kiwi ingenuity guarantees the MadMac stands out. Retaining the original McLaren transmission, the team pushed boundaries by designing a custom transfer case and installing a bespoke steering rack for drifting. Upgrades continue with custom uprights, a hydraulic handbrake, and a collaboration with Rocket Bunny for the bodywork. The work paid off as Mad Mike took the MadMac for a spin around Hampton Downs Motorsports Park, showcasing his drifting skills behind the wheel. @madmike.123 Instagram After extensive testing, MadMac was flown back to England for its grand reveal at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. With a special Red Bull livery, the car was unveiled on July 11, marking a special moment for Mad Mike and his team. This project celebrates a decade of drifting at Goodwood while honoring Bruce McLaren, a fellow New Zealander. The MadMac's journey is far from over, with plans to tour globally, capturing every moment for an upcoming documentary. View all McLaren P1s for sale on duPont REGISTRY by clicking the link below. Triple F Collection Reveals Its New $4M Track-Only McLare...

This only further proves that the Triple F Collection are #1 fans of McLaren! With exclusive customer race programs on the rise, manufacturers are able to give their top-tier clientele the experience of competitive, on-track driving with non-road-legal race cars. Mclaren shocked the automotive scene two years ago with the announcement of its Solus GT, a futuristic hyper-GT with only 25 examples offered to specially selected owners who bleed Papaya Orange. The Triple F Collection is one of those lucky owners, adding the Solus GT to an extensive garage fleet that already includes icons like the Speedtail, P1, Senna, 765LT, 675LT, and MP4-12C. This past weekend, the Triple F Collection headed to sunny South Florida to unveil their all-new McLaren Solus GT during ModaMiami at The Biltmore Hotel. The fuel-driven Frecka family lifted back the covers to reveal a Gulf Oil Racing-inspired livery that marries the history of motorsports with the future of McLaren. Designed in collaboration with the creative team at McLaren Special Operations, the Solus GT's vibrant styling highlights all the aerodynamic features that make it a force to be reckoned with on any circuit. The most notable characteristic of the Solus GT is its sliding roof, which safely secures the driver inside the cabin's F1-inspired center seat position. The McLaren Solus GT packs a punch with its ferocious V10 engine that's all about high revs and the kind of ear-pleasing roar that gets your heart racing. Now with the Solus GT in the Triple F Collection's hands, we cannot wait to see more McLaren content uploaded to their YouTube channel. Dylan's Artura

By Dylan Orluck –  February 13, 2024

Unleashing The Artura: McLaren's Electrified Entry-Level ...

During Arizona Car Week, our dear friends at McLaren Scottsdale gave us the keys to the 2023 McLaren Artura, and it did not disappoint. The Artura is the ultimate entry-level supercar and the first hybrid from McLaren since they introduced the P1. It can tackle everything from daily driving to canyon carving. Let me explain: On Thursday I was handed the keys, given a thorough tutorial on McLaren's updates and changes in the new Artura and then took off to check out our friends at RM Sothebys. Once you get over how many heads turn on the road to ogle its sleek, richly colored body, you are struck by how breathtakingly quick the car is. The 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 is paired to an 8-speed dual-clutch, which directs 671 horsepower to the rear wheels. The power surges in a surprisingly linear fashion for a turbo-charged car and keeps you pinned to the back of your seat until your foot lets off the accelerator. As you hold on for dear life, you’ll notice the superb steering size and grip feel that is pleasantly minimal, eschewing any buttons and knobs. The Artura feels extraordinarily light due to its newly redesigned carbon tub and the fact that it’s only 3,300 pounds. Yet it somehow manages to simultaneously give the driver an extremely planted feel while veering around sharp curves. The daily drivability of the Artura is pretty spectacular. As you swing the door up and get in, you become immersed in the driver-centric cockpit. The driver modes can be adjusted using the two controls on the dash that can be found, directly in front of your right and left hands. The right controls can be moved up and down to adjust to Electric, Comfort, Sport, or Track modes while the left handles the suspension. The other easily accessible button that helps with daily driving is the front lift, which is no longer on a stalk; it's a physical button to the left of the steering wheel. As we commuted between auctions and events, I was able to start up the car in Electric mode, sneak out of the parking garage, and hit the road before hitting the control up twice to switch it into Sport mode in order to enjoy the exhaust note. As you explore the interior of the car more, you realize that the visibility is extraordinarily good: the seating position is perfect, and there is a great amount of both leg and headroom. The user interface took some getting used to––as it would with any new car––but makes sense once you get the hang of it. It’s a very straightforward system that makes adjusting the climate control and media easy when you’re on the move. The McLaren Artura proves to be an all-around incredible supercar with scattered hints of hypercar traits. It exceeds everything you want and need from an entry-level vehicle of this type. Although you may not have enough trunk space, you could use this car on a daily basis and make your day-to-day life exponentially more enjoyable, and a whole lot faster, exactly how it did for me during Arizona Car Week. McLaren Automotive Reveals The All-New Solus GT Track Car...

The stunning realization of a concept car from the screens of virtual racing into an extreme expression of track driving engagement that will exhilarate in the real world. While Monterey Car Week kicks off with some unbelievable unveils from industry leaders like Bugatti and Koenigsegg, the performance specialists at McLaren Automotive were sure to have some big news of their own prepared. McLaren Automotive is proud to reveal the all-new Solus GT, a track-only chassis derived from the concept of the video gaming world. The McLaren Solus GT will be produced as a special commission for just 25 lucky customers that have already secured all the available chassis. The single-set closed-cockpit track car was unveiled on the coast of Northern California during Monterey Car Week by CEO Michael Leiters. McLaren Automotive With the debut of the Solus GT, McLaren is successfully creating the world’s first track-only vehicle designed from the futuristic McLaren concept that was featured in the Gran Turismo Sport video game. The aggressive exterior styling screams ultra-lightweight, with a total weight of 2,205 pounds that helps achieve an astonishing 2,645 pounds of downforce using its aerodynamic performance. Its state-of-the-art aerodynamic system channels air through the front splitter and ground effect tunnels until it exits through the rear diffuser. A motorsport-inspired intake above the cockpit integrated into the design of the roll hoop cover feeds cold air into the engine, while also providing an engaging induction sound. A twin-element fixed rear wing is the secret weapon for the Solus GT, helping with straight-line speed while enhancing its cornering. Although its all-new body features futuristic aspects like a sliding canopy, the Solus GT adopts characteristics like its central seat from the legendary McLaren F1. McLaren Automotive At the heart of the new Solus GT lies a powertrain unseen in any other McLaren, a 5.2-Liter Naturally-Aspirated V10 engine capable of generating over 829 brake horsepower and 479 foot-pounds of torque. Paired with a bespoke sequential 7-speed transmission, McLaren’s new limited-production track car has a target 0-62mph of 2.5-seconds with a 10,000rpm redline. Despite the immense amount of downforce created by its aerodynamic design, the McLaren Solus GT plans on coming with a maximum speed in access of 200mph. Along with the ability to further customize a configuration through the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division, clients are also able to purchase a full ‘racing driver experience’ in addition to the Solus GT. The special package will include a driving seat molded to individual body shape, an FIA-homologated race suit, helmet and HANS (Head And Neck Support) device bespoke to each owner, and a driver-development coaching program. The 25 excited new owners of the McLaren Solus GT are expected to begin receiving their desired specs in 2023.
