McLaren Reveals New MCL-HY & MCL-HY GTR Hypercars

McLaren’s story as a manufacturer was written in the world of motorsport. In fact, it took nearly 30 years after McLaren’s establishment for a road car to wear the name, and that was the groundbreaking, legendary F1, which simultaneously dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Alongside the brand’s involvement in series like Formula 1 and IndyCar, endurance racing is a cornerstone in McLaren’s heritage, and the manufacturer is returning to it in a big way. Earlier, McLaren announced the name of its upcoming top-class endurance racing hypercar, the MCL-HY, and that car has now been revealed, along with the MCL-HY GTR, the Project: Endurance track car for clients. The MCL-HY is set to race in the 2027 FIA WEC, which includes the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and it’s part of McLaren’s ambitions to claim the coveted “Triple Crown” of motorsport as it has done before, dominating Le Mans, the Monaco Grand Prix, and the Indianapolis 500. The test livery of the MCL-HY is inspired by the McLaren M6A, as founder Bruce McLaren wanted the car to compete in Le Mans as the M6GT, indicating McLaren’s longstanding heritage in sports car racing. Testing of the car on track will begin this month in preparation for the debut next season, as well as for the client track car. <- Gallery -> A twin-turbo V6 with a hybrid system powers the racing hypercar, delivering nearly 700 horsepower to the rear wheels. Meanwhile, the MCL-HY GTR represents a collaboration between McLaren Racing and McLaren Automotive, as it was developed with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 that boasts roughly 720 horsepower, and without the hybrid system required for the LMDh race car. MCL-HY GTR clients get a chance to be a part of McLaren’s new endurance racing journey, with access to the McLaren Racing WEC operation, and front row seats to the Le Mans challenge in 2027. Owners also get access to a two-year, six-event track driving program on iconic circuits, with professional driver coaching, a dedicated pit crew, and more. With deliveries of the MCL-HY GTR set to take place towards the end of 2027, and McLaren’s new MCL-HY hypercar revealed, a new chapter of McLaren’s rich motorsport history is being written. 1-of-1 MSO 'Sterling Grey' McLaren P1 For Sale

In the ever-evolving automotive world, some cars come and go, while others stand out as timeless icons that continue to inspire the next generation, which happens to perfectly align with ‘The Holy Trinity’ of hybrid hypercars. There’s no denying that the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder, and Ferrari LaFerrari have cemented themselves as the most important hypercars ever created, and if you need any proof to justify that statement, take a deep dive into past sales and broken auction records over the past 10 years. As the market for these battery-assisted beasts continues to skyrocket, the collector car world continues to warn those questioning whether they should pay the premium, worried that potential buyers will miss the boat before entering another stratosphere of pricing. The team at Miller Motorcars of Greenwich, CT, is pleased to offer this one-of-a-kind, one-owner 2014 McLaren P1 as part of its incredible inventory of supercars and hypercars for sale on duPont REGISTRY.While every one of the 375 examples produced is special as a piece of automotive history, this specific McLaren P1 shines as a true 1-of-1 factory configuration. Showcasing a rarity rarely seen in McLaren’s ultra-limited P1 production, it comes finished in a one-off MSO Sterling Grey paint with tons of exposed carbon fiber trim and Papaya Orange details. Factory lightweight forged wheels provide the surface traction for high-speed straights, while massive, matching orange carbon ceramic brakes supply the stopping power for quick cornering and track agility. The car features signatures from McLaren F1 racing boss Ron Dennis and McLaren P1 designer Frank Stephenson, directly linking it to the visionaries who brought the P1 to life.Inside the McLaren P1, the cabin remains rather calm, cool, and collected for a hypercar capable of still considered one of the fastest and most demanding of all time. Its lightweight DNA is revealed through an exposed matte carbon interior, complete with one-piece leather bucket seats sporting the famous ‘P1’ logo in Papaya Orange. Equipped with everything a driver needs to break lap times, shedding unwanted weight with tech and amenities that outdate cars, the McLaren P1’s intent as a road-worthy track hypercar remains its sole focus, even to today’s standards. The heart of the McLaren P1 is its 3.8L twin-turbocharged V8, spec’d with McLaren’s familiar 24K gold engine bay heatshield, paired with an electric motor to form a hybrid system that was radical for a road car at the time. Together, the setup delivers 903 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, with the electric motor filling in gaps and adding instant response rather than existing purely for efficiency. Power goes to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, pushing the P1 from 0–60 mph in under three seconds and on to a top speed electronically limited to 217 mph. View Listing

McLaren Golf Launches New Irons Built Like Supercars

In an industry long led by brands with decades of expertise and success, backed by world-class players, McLaren Golf has approached its entry into the sport with the same attitude and ingenuity as its production supercars and hypercars, as well as its championship-winning race programs. Dreamed up by a dedicated team of golf industry experts alongside PGA and LPGA professionals Justin Rose and Michelle Wie West, the new venture officially launched in Miami alongside Formula One’s Miami Grand Prix and the PGA Tour’s Miami event, a symbolic coming together of McLaren’s worlds. The new collection features two new iron sets, Series 1 and Series 2, both of which utilize an advanced Metal Injection Molding (MIM) process to unlock the same precision philosophy that applies to McLaren supercars. The Series 1 irons are McLaren’s take on a classic Tour blade. At first glance, they’re clean and compact, but are designed not to behave like old-school blades. The use of MIM allows for better consistency across the face without losing that soft, responsive feel. A lot of that comes down to internal weight. There’s tungsten built into the head to help stabilize launch and reduce dispersion, while McLaren's structural mesh redistributes mass for better forgiveness without sacrificing shape. All in all, the Series 1 is clearly aimed at low-handicap players who want full control but aren’t against some modern tech working in the background. The Series 3 irons sit more in the players' distance category, focusing more on speed, forgiveness, and control in a way that’s more approachable and less intimidating. Like the Series 1, they still use an MIM construction, but also feature carbon fiber elements that help fine-tune weight and improve feel. That carbon back helps manage vibration and supports the internal system, giving the club a solid, consistent feel through impact. Players are getting more distance and forgiveness compared to the Series 1, but without completely giving up control.  Both sets are priced at $375 per club and are available through select custom fitting retailers or online at mclarengolf.com, making them easy to spec out if you’re thinking about upgrading your bag. McLaren Confirms MCL-HY As Name Of WEC Hypercar

McLaren’s roots as a brand are deeply steeped in the world of motorsport, and Le Mans was the stage for one of its most formative triumphs. The McLaren F1 GTR won the 24 Hours of Le Mans on its first outing in the prestigious endurance competition in 1995, and since then, the already celebrated racing legacy that McLaren boasted has only grown greater. Now, McLaren is on the cusp of returning to Le Mans as part of the FIA World Endurance Championship, and it’s doing so in the top class with a hypercar aimed at taking the overall win. That hypercar, along with a client variant, has been previewed already with “Project: Endurance,” but now, an official name has been given to both the race car and its client racing variant. The race car will be called the MCL-HY, and the customer car will be called the MCL-HY GTR. Destined for the 2027 FIA WEC, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the MCL-HY heralds a new era of endurance for McLaren, one which will hopefully carry on the legacy of the legendary F1 GTR. Meanwhile, the MCL-HY GTR will simultaneously offer clients a track car and a corresponding track day program with exclusive access to a new age of McLaren sports car racing. While the naming conventions of the MCL-HY match those of McLaren’s Formula 1 cars, the MCL-HY GTR also takes on a cherished legacy nomenclature. Started by the F1 GTR, and continued with the P1 GTR and the Senna GTR, the MCL-HY GTR will be the latest in a long line of track-only masterpieces. A new era of McLaren racing is starting, and the new MCL-HY, which will be fully revealed on May 4, is at the center of it. View All McLaren For Sale Image Source: McLaren

This 1-of-9 McLaren 750S Spider Celebrates a Championship Comeback

With roots in motorsport long before manufacturing supercars and hypercars, McLaren’s primary goal has always been the same: crossing the finish line first, no matter the series. That goal becomes immediately clear inside the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, UK, where a museum displays the team’s winning race cars and the trophies lifted at the finish line. Along with immortalizing historic race-winning cars, McLaren also celebrates its milestone victories with special-edition variants of its latest and greatest models. The team at Miller Motorcars is proud to showcase one of those special cars, recently delivering an exclusive 1-of-9 McLaren 750S Spider MCL38 Celebration Edition to a passionate client of the dealership.Produced to celebrate McLaren’s 9th Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship in 2024, ending a 26-year drought since its last title in 1998, the 750S Spider is inspired by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri’s MCL38 that clinched the title at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. McLaren Special Operations’ (MSO) livery features a striking two-tone finish that incorporates two of McLaren’s most iconic colors, Papaya Orange and Le Mans Grey. Other commemorative characteristics for the exterior include a center racing stripe with a ‘2024 Constructors’ Championship’ decal, as well as a nine-star decal on the door.Inside, McLaren kept things calm, cool, and collective while adding small, detailed touches that tie back to the championship victory. Black Alcantara layers the cabin with contrasting Papaya Orange stitching and tons of exposed carbon fiber. The headrest of each bucket seat is embroidered with the Constructors’ Championship graphic. The MCL38’s silhouette and both Norris and Piastri’s signatures are etched onto the door sill. The most interesting part of this exclusive series is that each of the nine examples features an actual piece of the MCL38 race cars, displayed on its own plaque. At the heart of the McLaren 750S Spider sits a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 that feels less like an evolution and more like a sharpened version of everything McLaren already does well. It pushes out 740 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, delivered through a lightning-quick 7-speed dual-clutch, and the response is immediate. With all that performance wrapped up in a build fit only for the most passionate McLaren collector, the 750S Spider MCL38 Celebration Edition is a homage to victory. All Miller Motorcar Inventory

The Electrified Longtail: Best McLaren Speedtails For Sale Today

The McLaren Speedtail stands out as a beacon of innovation in the hypercar industry, an example of McLaren's relentless pursuit of automotive excellence. This hybrid hypercar is a piece of rolling art, crafted for the collector who appreciates the perfect blend of speed, luxury, and groundbreaking design. Let's talk numbers – the Speedtail is a symphony of power, showcasing a electrified powertrain that delivers a staggering 1,035 horsepower. Its top speed? An eye-watering 250 mph, making it one of the fastest production cars ever built. Exclusivity is another hallmark of the Speedtail. With only 106 units produced, it's a rare gem amongst prominent collectors prepared to spend the seven-figures to secure the thrill of a lifetime. Its scarcity, paired with its motorsport-inspired design and engineering, makes the Speedtail a prime candidate for investment-grade collector status. Its value isn't just in its performance but in its potential to appreciate over time. In the realm of the automotive industry, the McLaren Speedtail is a symbol of what happens when boundaries are pushed and dreams are turned into reality. We at duPont REGISTRY are proud to feature the largest selection of McLaren Speedtails for sale thanks to our extensive network of passionate and knowledgable dealerships. View all the McLaren Speedtails featured in this special by clicking the links below for more information. How expensive is a McLaren Speedtail? The McLaren Speedtail is definitely on the pricier side of the hypercar spectrum, as you might expect for such a sleek and high-performance machine. Brand new, it set buyers back around $2.25 million, depending on the customization options chosen at the time. It's a limited-production model, so its rarity can also drive up the price on the resale market.  Is McLaren Speedtail legal in US? The McLaren Speedtail is an absolute stunner but, unfortunately, it's not street legal in the US straight out of the box. The reason lies in its design choices that don't quite meet specific U.S. safety standards, like its unique central driving position and lack of side-mounted airbags. However, owners can bring one stateside under the "Show or Display" exemption. This allows them to own and even drive the car legally, but with some limitations on mileage and use. So, while you can have a Speedtail in the US, it's a bit of a process and comes with a few strings attached! How fast can the McLaren Speedtail go? The McLaren Speedtail can sprint all the way up to a jaw-dropping top speed of 250 mph. Not only is it quick, but it's also McLaren’s fastest production car ever. So, if you’re looking to zip past pretty much anything on the road (or track), the Speedtail has got you covered. 2020 McLaren Speedtail View Listing 2020 McLaren Speedtail View Listing 2020 McLaren Speedtail View Listing 2020 McLaren Speedtail View Listing Buy Searching for a McLaren Speedtail to buy? duPont REGISTRY has hundreds of Porsches for sale right now, including some of the rarest McLaren Speedtails ever created. Lanzante 95-59 XP Prototype Hits The Track for First Customer Drive

The first customer drive of Lanzante’s 95-59 XP prototype has taken place in the English countryside, marking a significant moment for the British engineering firm as development of its upcoming three-seat supercar that was revealed at Goodwood last year, moves forward. For those unaware, Lanzante Limited, based in Petersfield, Hampshire, has built a reputation for transforming some of the most extreme track-only cars into street-legal machines. More recently, the company welcomed two Bugatti Bolide hypercars to its facility to begin the complex process of adapting the $4 million track-only machine for public roads. The Bolide joins a long list of Lanzante conversion projects that already includes the McLaren P1 GTR, as well as road-legal versions of the Pagani Zonda R, McLaren Senna GTR, and Porsche 935.   View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lanzante (@lanzantelimited)   The 95-59 project carries particular significance for the company. Lanzante first teased the car in March 2025 before unveiling it publicly at the Goodwood Festival of Speed that July. Its name references one of the most famous moments in the company’s history. In 1995, a black and silver McLaren F1 GTR wearing chassis number 59 secured overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car, entered by Lanzante and driven by Yannick Dalmas, Masanori Sekiya, and JJ Lehto, shocked the motorsport world by defeating purpose-built prototypes. Three decades later, the 95-59 aims to celebrate that achievement while translating the spirit of the F1 GTR into a modern road car. Designed by former McLaren designer, Paul Howse, the same man behind the P1, 720S, and the limited-run Sabre, his work on the analog 95-59 carries clear motorsport influences, from its dramatic bodywork to the distinctive central driving position.  That layout places the driver in the middle of the cabin with passenger seats on either side, echoing the iconic configuration of the McLaren F1. The big highlight is the carbon tub and a curb weight of just 2,755 pounds, which in itself is very close to the F1’s 2,513-pound curb weight. It will be powered by McLaren’s familiar 4.0-liter V8 with 850 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque on offer. Priced from  £1.3 million ($1.77 million), only 59 examples will ever exist. The prototype undergoing testing also previews the car’s final appearance. The next public milestone arrives next month. The 95-59 will headline Lanzante’s presence at the Goodwood Road Racing Club Members’ Meeting, where the prototype is expected to make its first public track demonstration in front of enthusiasts and collectors.  View All McLarens For Sale Images: @lanzantelimited
