The car features a version of AMG’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine that’s brought to 707 horsepower, making it the most powerful iteration of the engine in a homologated race car from AMG. Carbon fiber throughout the body, and even included in the powertrain helps reduce weight, and carefully-engineered aerodynamic elements throughout the car help air go exactly where it needs to. The prominent rear wing is mounted with a swan neck configuration, known for its effectiveness in delivering downforce and contributing to race-ready dynamics. With the new race car coming in time for the 2023 GT racing season, customer racing teams will receive cars that have been fully developed, with the development and testing taking place soon at the tracks where the GT2 racing season will take place.
