1886 Mercedes-Benz Patent Motorwagen Replica For Sale

You can stump your friends with this one because it is the only Mercedes-Benz that can't be purchased at a dealer. Back in 2001, the company decided to open their archives to build a few examples of their first model. Karl Benz patented his Motorwagen on January 29th, 1886. Meanwhile, Gottlieb Daimler patented his gas engine for use in horseless carriages.Paul Daimler worked for his father, building cars with Wilhelm Maybach for Europe's elite & wealthy. One such aristocrat was Emil Jellinek, who ordered 2 cars to be named after his daughter: Mercedes. The name stuck, and the rest is history.Mercedes-Benz Classic has the original prototype, along with the original blueprints for it. So if you are interested they will build you a replica. As for price, if you have to ask...this car is not for you. It has no cruise control, lane keeping assist, or Android auto. Also, you won't find a steering wheel, transmission, or a spare tire.View Details

Mercedes-Benz EQA Concept Cruises Around Sicily

It is always important to test the water before jumping in. So that is why Mercedes-Benz has not offered a battery-powered car. Their Smart ForTwo EV is a sensible choice, but it is not even close to being worthy to wear a Mercedes-Benz badge.Just in time for the Consumer Electronics Show, they uploaded a video of the EQA electric concept in action. We first saw this unique coupe at the Frankfurt Auto Show, but we figured it was a static vision of their future electric design language. Now it looks like the EQA concept is functional and quite stunning on the roads of Sicily. Their website says it has two electric motors to power the front and rear axles. Total system output is 268 horsepower, which makes it a viable alternative to the regular A-Class models. It appears like they might go ahead with production, so stay with us for all your Mercedes-Benz updates.Browse Mercedes-Benz For Salehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=55xFZ0veFkc

Hitting Top Speed in a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG

When a rocket is heading into orbit, it has to slow down and almost coast through the sound barrier. No matter how aerodynamic an object is, air gets mad when you compress it. Our friends at AutoTopNL are usually fond of flogging the latest in German supercars on the Autobahn.Sell Your Exotic Car With duPont REGISTRYBut for this week's top speed run, the boys from the Netherlands chose a box with a sledgehammer under the hood. The Mercedes Geländewagen literally translates to cross-country wagon, so it arrives with 3 locking differentials and the ability to climb the Matterhorn. Americans, Here's How You Can Drive the Mercedes-Benz X-C...

As of right now, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class isn't coming to the United States. It's sad that this is how it has to be, but it's just a reality we have to face head-on. So, if you really wanted to drive the X-Class there are a couple of routes you can take. One way is to travel overseas and either buy one for yourself or see if you can borrow one from a friend. Another way is to test it out in the upcoming video game "The Crew 2."Daimler, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz, has announced that the X-Class will be in the new video game as an off-road vehicle. While most racing games focus on one kind of racing, "The Crew 2" delves into off-road, street, boat and plane racing.Mercedes-Benz Cars for SaleThose interested can race the new X-Class in the upcoming Closed Beta. Mercedes-Benz Unveils 2019 E53 AMG Sedan

Until now, horsepower and fun have usually been sacrificed for efficiency. But Mercedes-Benz has literally shocked us with a press release this morning. The new E53 AMG uses a 48-volt electrical system to power an "EQ Boost" supercharger. Electric blowers are not a new concept, but they are inefficient at 12 volts, requiring more from the alternator than the power they added to the engine. Now the game has changed. The E53 sedan uses a 3.0 liter straight six and a conventional turbo to make 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. In addition to the 48-volt blower, the EQ boost generator also serves as the starter. It also performs hybrid functions like regenerative braking and adding torque in certain situations. This allows it to run 0-60 in 4.3 seconds with a computer-limited top speed of 130 mph. It will also be one of the few gas-powered luxury sedans to offer the fuel mileage of a hybrid. 2019 Mercedes-AMG E53 Sedan (Euro spec)Don't be scared, the interior and all accessories are still 12v powered, from a solid-state MOSFET transformer. They must have reverse-engineered a Koenigsegg to see what makes it so efficient and reliable at the same time. The hybrid boost feature has the ability to add 21 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque when needed, and it will make this AWD sedan the ultimate sleeper. The only way it could be better is with plug-in charging and an HV battery, but Mercedes-Benz is saving that for their full electric future. Production will begin soon in Affalterbach, and they will arrive by the end of summer. Until then, take a look at these great deals on the E63 AMG from our dealers.Browse Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG For Sale 2019 Mercedes-AMG E53 Sedan (Euro spec)

The First Production 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is Here

The new 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class was revealed at the beginning of the year and it's production has just started, a few months later. Production is being accomplished by Magna Steyr (automobile manufacturer) in Graz, Austria for Mercedes. That may seem odd to a few that another company is producing cars for Mercedes-Benz, but Magna Steyr has actually be producing the G-Class since 1979. Because of their history with the G-Class and knowledge regarding the SUV, it only makes sense that they produce the new model. The 2019 G-Class brings forth a new generation of the famous SUV. Mercedes did a fantastic job of breathing new life into the overall design of the G-Class while still maintaining the overall iconic look. Major changes include new headlights, taillights, and a new body that's 2.1-inches longer and 4.8-inches wider.“With the model change the new G-Class experienced the biggest transformation in its 39 years-old history," says Gunnar Güthenke, Head of the Off-Road Product Group at Mercedes-Benz. "At the same time we have kept the familiar and popular features of the design icon and further optimised the 'G' where ride comfort and robustness are concerned.”

Just in time for summer, this new Mercedes-AMG GT S Roadster is a hotter version of their gorgeous convertible. Starting with a revised suspension, stiffer shocks and springs will keep the aluminum spaceframe composed at speeds over 190 mph.2018 Mercedes-AMG GT R Becomes Fastest F1 Safety CarThe AMG GT S fills the gap in performance between the GT and GT C models. While all examples use the 4.0-liter twin turbo V8, the GT S is rated at 515 horsepower and 494 lb-ft of torque. The factory claims a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds with 192 mph top speed. The rear-mounted 7-speed transmission is connected to the engine by a torque tube. Running the length of the cockpit, it also serves to add torsional strength to the car.The GT S does offer the variable exhaust of the GT C, but rear wheel steering and Nappa leather are not available. The best news is that the AMG Ride Control active suspension is standard equipment.
