Mercedes-Benz Unveils New 2019 G-Class Interior

It seems like automakers change their core products every few years to keep them appealing in the marketplace. But change can be unsettling when it comes to a dedicated clientele. That's why Mercedes-Benz has only updated their Geländewagen only a few times since it was introduced in '79,Spy shots of the new G-Class are hilarious because of the camouflage. Anyone with eyes can tell what it is. The unmistakable box on wheels is getting a well-needed facelift, and the interior will finally come into the 21st century.New 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS is Hybrid and MeanA press release early this morning includes jaw-dropping photos of the new cockpit. Two large displays are borrowed from the S-Class, and below the central screen are the three iconic controls that will never be used. Between the jet engine-inspired vents are the triplet of differential locks. The only production SUV to have 3 locking diffs, it's nice to know you can climb a mountain if needed.A new steering wheel incorporates two touch-sensitive buttons that respond to swipes like the screen of a phone.  The center console has the same control pad as all other models, and it is flanked by shortcut keys that will keep your eyes on the road. The G-Class and the Unimog are among the few Mercedes-Benz models to be made of steel and to have a traditional body-on-frame design. That is why they aren't built alongside the other models. Production is done by skilled masters at a dedicated plant in Graz, Austria. Their proving grounds is known as the Schöckl, one of the tallest mountains near the factory. It inspired the 6x6 and the 4x4 Squared to take on the world. A silver badge showing the mountain in the background is a matter of pride for the workers, and it is showcased on the B-pillar for everyone to see.We are very intrigued by these photos, so as soon as the new G-Wagens arrive you will see a complete review here on Autofluence. Mercedes-AMG Unveils Impressive LED Puddle Lamps

Illumination is a never-ending war between the luxury auto brands. Edison bulbs have been surpassed by advancements in LED technology. The puddle lamp is nothing new, but until now they have been reimagined by Mercedes-Benz. Spurred on by the successes of the lighted front star, they have released a new option for almost every model. Say Goodbye: Mercedes-AMG Announces G65 Final EditionThe new LED provides a brilliant display of the AMG logo. Their engineering prowess is shown by the intake valve and the lobe of a camshaft. They were unveiled in a press release last night, stating they are available on everything from the A-Class to the GLS. It can be installed after purchase by a quick visit to your local dealer, so let's hope its backward-compatible with older models. Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4² Production To End

Nothing this good can last forever. The roughest & most capable G Wagen is not long for this world. In a press release this morning, Mercedes-Benz announced it will take orders until the end of October. All Hallows Eve will not be as scary without the big 4x4² towering over everyone.RENNtech Builds The Ultimate G500 4x4²It is a logical decision. The public reacted to it with shock & awe, and they sold more than anyone expected. It is so different than the normal G Class that it requires its own assembly methods along with negotiations with suppliers of the specialized parts. If you ever see one in person, you can't stop staring at the dual coil-over shocks at all corners. The beastly portal axles offer twice the ground clearance of the normal G500. I am only 5'9" with Timerlands on, and its a bit of a climb to get inside. Wearing 36" tires on 22" wheels appeals to the big kid in anyone, and they are probably the most aggressive tire on any production SUV. It is nice to have a 7" tall sidewall, the cushy ride won't spill your coffee. But from a practical standpoint, it doesn't fit in with anything else in their inventory. The G63 and G65 AMG models will carry on, and the aftermarket makes most of these parts if you want to build your own version. Our dealers are still taking orders for them, so click on the link below to get yours before collectors snatch them up. All we ask is that you get them muddy at least once a year. The triple-locking differentials need to be exercised, so hit the trails and stay with us for all your G Wagen updates.Search G Class For Sale

Mercedes-Benz Unveils Plug-In Hybrid S560e

Name something the S Class Mercedes is not capable of. If you thought it is incapable of charging itself, you would be mistaken. A new plug-in hybrid version was the shocking basis for a press release on Monday. Yes, the previous generation had a hybrid version, but the new car has been engineered with hybrid technology in mind.If the AMG S65 has enough underhood space to accommodate a V12 engine and twin turbos, a V6 and a motor/generator should drop right in. The new components share the same case as the 9G-Tronic transmission. This saves weight and allows the battery to send power directly to the axles. Also onboard is a 7.2 kW charger to keep the battery topped off.Mercedes-AMG Unveil 2018 S63 & S65 With a rating of 13.5 kWh or 37 Amp-Hours, it can power the S560e for 25 miles of electric cruising. The 3.0 liter V6 is rated at 362 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, combined with 90 kW and 325 lb-ft of electric torque, it allows the big car to reach 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. If you need V8 power in your life, our dealers have several flavors of new Mercedes S Class for sale. The S560e is expected to arrive in the US by mid-2019, and we'll have all the details here for you. Stay with us for all your Mercedes and S Class news. 2019 Mercedes-Benz S560e Sedan

2018 Mercedes-AMG S63 and S65 Revealed With Specs

Mercedes-AMG, the performance-oriented branch of Mercedes-Benz, has pulled back the veil from the new 2018 S63 and S65 models (both Coupe and Cabriolet). This new model year sees a number of changes, with the most updates being made to the engines and exterior. On the outside, both models now feature the iconic Panamericana grille that pays homage to the 300 SL that won the 1952 Mexican Road Race.Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson With LaFerrari and GTA Spano, Can't FitStarting with the S63, the engine has been reduced from a 5.5-liter V8 biturbo to a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo. However, the power is rated at a monstrous 603 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque-- that's 26 hp more than the 5.5-liter. Laying down the power to all four wheels is the new AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G automatic transmission. When all power is accounted for and the pedal hits the floor, the S63 will rocket from 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph.2018 Mercedes-AMG S63 Next up is the big brother S65, which retains the massive 6.0-liter V12 engine. This engine has an output of 621 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. While the S65 may be the BIG brother, it can still run 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds and hit the 186 mph limited top speed.2018 Mercedes-AMG S65Other than the new grille, the S63 and S65 see just a few updates, including the redesigned aero components (front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper), and OLED taillamps.Pricing has not been announced yet, but both models will have their world premiere at the 2017 Frankfurt International Auto Show.

Control Everything By Voice In The Updated 2018 Mercedes-...

As a young child, I remember a theme park ride that promised a voice-controlled world by the end of the 90's. The premise was that your life would be easier by voice commands to various appliances and systems. Now that our phones have the ability to interpret our every need, it's time for cars to catch up. Engineers at Mercedes-Benz rose to the challenge, and they efforts will debut on the 2018 E-Series. LINGUATRONIC is the voice control system that has the ability to interpret 22 languages. A press release early this morning outlines the new features. Also Check Out: Brutal Top Speed Mercedes-AMG E63 S on the AutobahnIn addition to the normal navigation and phone commands, the system is now interfaced with vehicle controls. A logical upgrade of the system, it allows for climate, lighting, seats, and 450 individual actions to be controlled by the driver. Since many manufacturers have valued appearance over functionality, trying to make a change to audio or A/C poses a major distraction. Thankfully, Mercedes-Benz knows the Autobahn is a bad place to be reaching for the seat heater. Keep your hands on the wheel and enjoy the different responses to each command. To give the system a human touch, Linguatronic will answer in the affirmative in various ways. Other new options for the E-Class will be a 12.3" center screen. It aligns with the driver's screen to create a seamless display. Twin USB ports for the rear passengers will keep devices charged. And a new trunk closure responds to a gentle tap after unloading groceries. The new E-Class will arrive soon, so check with our dealers for more information and stay with us for all your Mercedes-Benz news.
