Porsche Takes The Taycan From Stuttgart To Istanbul On A ...

The Porsche Taycan shines on an international road trip. Between Stuttgart, Germany, and Istanbul, Turkey, there are 7 countries to cross, and Mayk Wienkötter, Porsche’s press spokesperson for the Taycan, embarked on the journey to join a Taycan meetup organized by the Taycan Club Turkey, and to put the Porsche Taycan’s ability to travel long distances to the test. The comfort, driving range, practicality of the Porsche Taycan, and the efficacy of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure through the multiple countries, both inside and outside of the European Union, would all be the dependent factors on the road trip’s success. The trip started at the Porsche Museum in the morning, fighting rush hour traffic to get out of Stuttgart. The first charging stop only required 18 minutes to charge a mostly depleted battery back to 80 percent. After that, the trip went through Austria and Slovenia and then to Croatia to stop and charge at a station south of Zagreb. A lengthy wait at the border between Croatia and Serbia added to the challenge of the road trip, and at a hotel in Belgrade, the Taycan could charge overnight. Leaving Serbia and entering Bulgaria, the Taycan made it through a long traffic jam in Sofia before stopping to charge at a station south of Sofia. It only needed 16 minutes to charge to two-thirds capacity. A final charging stop came after another traffic jam, and the Taycan reached Istanbul after driving for nearly 1,400 miles 25 hours after the trip's start. The Taycan meetup in Istanbul featured 25 cars, the Taycan Turbo GT, and the new electric Porsche Macan that Porsche brought to the event. On the way back to Stuttgart, the first charging stop happened at a station off the highway. The second stop, at a car dealership, needed only 20 minutes to get from 9 percent to 81 percent. After 12 hours of driving, the first stage of the trip back home ended in Belgrade, where the car charged at the hotel. Leaving the next morning, the next charging stop was the same one visited before, south of Zagreb in Croatia. After that, the next charging stop was in Austria, and one last stopping after a traffic jam in Munich had to be taken before returning to Stuttgart. With over 2,700 miles driven throughout the road trip, the Porsche Taycan proved on its journey from Stuttgart to Istanbul and back that it’s not just an exciting and futuristic luxury sports car with all-electric power but also a practical and comfortable long-distance journeying machine. How The New Electric Porsche Macan Evolves EV Practicality

Porsche reveals the secret to the Macan’s EV innovation. The new Porsche Macan shines as the second all-electric model in Porsche’s growing and evolving lineup. Alongside the Taycan, the Macan offers cutting-edge EV technology with powerful performance, luxurious appointments, and beautiful design. However, Porsche developed the Macan specifically with everyday driving in mind. As a result, it features remarkably efficient charging ability, thanks to the technology that the new electric Porsche Macan is pioneering and will be integral to future Porsche electric vehicles. The permanent synchronous electric motors and 800-volt technology seen in the Taycan and Macan optimize performance and charging time. However, the Macan is the first Porsche based on the new Premium Platform Electric, a new platform co-developed between Porsche and Audi. The platform has a charging capacity of up to 270 kW, meaning that charging from 10 to 80 percent can take as little as 21 minutes. In addition, charging software can adapt to the technology of different charging stations around the world, splitting the 800-volt battery into two 400-volt batteries with built-in voltage separators that can be charged at the same time. With longevity in mind, the Macan features a Battery Care Mode, which aims to ensure that charging is always done in a way that preserves the battery’s integrity as best as possible. One of the most simple yet convenient charging features of the new Porsche Macan is the fact that there are charging ports on both sides. A DC fast charging port is located on the left, with AC charging ports on both sides of the Macan, which eliminates the need to think about how to park the car for it to be charged. With all of these innovations geared towards the everyday practicality of the new electric Porsche Macan, the newest all-electric Porsche makes owning and driving electric vehicles significantly easier. New 533HP 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Is The First Hybri...

The first hybrid version of the greatest supercar is here. It goes without saying that the Porsche 911 is undeniably one of the most important sports cars of all time, changing the landscape of the segment 60 years ago and remaining one of the most desirable performance car models in the world today. With incredible versatility as a joyous driving machine, track monster, and even an off-roading champion, the Porsche 911, especially in the latest 992 generation, has shown unparalleled versatility as a performance car. Still, Porsche has introduced yet another fresh and futuristic take on its historic hero: a hybrid powertrain. The new 911 represents the first time that a road going Porsche 911 features a hybrid drive system, and the new, innovative system promises to bring the legendary 911 to the next level of power, efficiency, technology, and futurism. The Carrera features a 388-horsepower 3.0-liter flat-six engine that is twin-turbocharged, with the ability to get from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 183 mph. The silhouette of the new 911 remains largely the same as the original 992 while adopting a more aggressive yet cleaner and more modern look. As the anticipated "T-Hybrid," the Carrera GTS features standard rear-wheel steering and advanced active aerodynamics that retain a subtle look. Its hybrid system features an electric motor at the turbocharger and an electric motor between the transmission and engine, with a compact high-voltage battery that adds minimal weight. The hybrid system is designed to seamlessly pair with the engine to deliver robust but natural-feeling performance. In numbers, the new Carrera GTS boasts 532 horsepower in total, more than the 992 911 GT3 RS. The engine itself develops 478 horsepower. It gets from 0-60 in just 2.9 seconds and reaches 194 mph. On the respected and feared Nürburgring Nordschleife, the hybrid 911 Carrera GTS delivered a lap time 8.7 seconds faster than its predecessor, with performance that felt like a naturally aspirated engine with its power delivery. The new 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera is available in coupe and cabriolet forms, and the Carrera GTS is available as a Coupe, Cabriolet, or a Targa. The Turbo and Turbo S in all of their available body styles will remain available, unchanged from the 2024 model year, as will the GT3 RS. With its first roadgoing hybrid drive system starting at $164,900 for the Carrera GTS, the new 2025 Porsche 911, with a starting MSRP of $120,100 for the Carrera is an incredible evolution of one of the most impactful sports cars ever. Porsche Celebrates The One-Off Coppa Florio 993 911 GT2

This is a true masterpiece of Porsche excellence. Today, Porsche’s incredible luxury performance vehicles receive an edge of personal style through the Exclusive Manufaktur offerings, whether in the form of Paint to Sample colors or more bespoke Sonderwunsch commissions. However, one car from the end of Porsche’s air-cooled 911 era stands out as one of the most legendary, the bespoke Porsche 911 GT2 in Coppa Florio, now nicknamed “Wölkchen” by its current owner. The 911 GT2, first introduced in the 993 generation, the last air-cooled generation of the Porsche 911 before the water-cooled 996’s introduction in 1998, was and remains today the pinnacle of roadgoing 911 performance (although there is no current 992 GT2, the 991 generation’s GT2 RS remains one of the most incredible 911s made). Based on the 911 Turbo, the GT2 combines immense power and lightweight racing focus. In 1996, when the bespoke example was commissioned, the GT2 cost more than twice as much as the Carrera. A wide stance, rear-wheel drive, a fixed rear wing, and more made the 993 911 GT2 a truly incredible performance car, and it was in 1996 that the Wölkchen’s (meaning “little cloud”) first owner decided to commission an incredible example of it. One of just 172 GT2 examples made in the first half of the 993 generation, Porsche Exclusive, now Sonderwunsch, was responsible for painting the car in a bespoke pastel blue called Coppa Florio with matching wheels. In addition, the interior features an incredible contrast, with Can-Can Red leather enveloping the entire inside of the car. Today, the Coppa Florio remains one of the most excellent 993 911 GT2 examples and one of the greatest air-cooled 911s made. Its incredible performance, Porsche heritage, and bespoke design inspire the incredible abilities of Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program today. View All Porsche 911s For Sale Image Source: Porsche
