Porsche Celebrates One-Two Finish At Long Beach

Porsche leaves Long Beach with a big victory. The endurance racing world is full of daunting challenges that put cars, drivers, and teams to the test, and many of those races have earned icon status as staples on the racing calendar. One of those is the Long Beach Grand Prix, which just took place as the third round of this year’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and Porsche earned an immense victory at the iconic sprint race. Porsche Penske Motorsports two Porsche 963 endurance racing hypercars secured a one-two finish at the race. The number 7 car, driven by Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy finished in first place, while the number 6 car, driven by Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet, won second place. However, that wasn’t the only victory that Porsche is celebrating after the 2025 Long Beach Grand Prix. AO Racing, a customer team with a Porsche 911 GT3 R in the GTD class, won the class. The incredible victory at this year’s Long Beach Grand Prix marks Porsche’s third straight victory in the championship, and its second one-two finish since its amazing victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring. With its three straight victories and two one-two finishes, Porsche has an incredible endurance racing season ahead. View All Porsches For Sale Image Source: Porsche

Porsche Sets U.S. Q1 Sales Record With 18,884 Vehicles De...

With one of the most passionate and devoted communities of owners and enthusiasts, Porsche seems to be always on the rise, thanks to its diverse lineup of sports cars and SUVs. Whether it's the weekend track warrior with a 911 GT3 RS or the conscious commuter behind the wheel of the new electric Macan, Porsche people are pleased with their ownership experience. Porsche is off to a red-hot start in 2025, reporting a record-breaking first quarter with 18,884 new vehicle deliveries in the United States. That's a huge 40.6% jump from Q1 2024 and an 8.1% gain over the previous Q1 record in 2023. The sales surge highlights a strong demand across Porsche's entire lineup, fueled partly by the fix of supply chain issues that impacted last year's production. Porsche's U.S. CEO, Timo Resch, credits the brand's growth to customer excitement for new models and the continued support from Porsche dealers nationwide. The Porsche Macan continues to lead the charge, moving 7,486 units this quarter alone. Even more impressive is that 44.6% of those were the new all-electric Macan, showing that Porsche EV sales are gaining serious traction. Electric vehicles now make up 23% of Porsche's total Q1 U.S. sales, thanks to interest in the Macan Electric and 1,019 Taycan deliveries. Meanwhile, traditional two-door favorites like the 911 and 718 also posted strong gains, selling 2,086 and 1,476 units. The Cayenne and Panamera models added solid volume, with 5,331 and 1,486 vehicles sold. Certified Pre-Owned Porsche sales also saw a healthy increase, with 11,587 vehicles sold in Q1 2025, up 11.7% year-over-year. With new models and longtime nameplates like the 911 still turning heads, Porsche seems well-positioned to maintain its sales momentum through the year. Porsche Celebrates 75 Years Of Manufacturing At Zuffenhausen

Porsche reaches another significant historic milestone. In 2023, Porsche celebrated a milestone anniversary, marking 75 years as a luxury performance car manufacturer and 60 years of its most legendary model, the 911. However, 2025 marks another milestone for Porsche, as its historic production home in Zuffenhausen, Germany sees its 75th anniversary, as well. It was in 1950 when Porsche made its first 356 in Zuffenhausen on April 6. Since then, Zuffenhausen has been an important capital for Porsche’s innovation and success, housing its greatest luxuriously individualized creations and creating the mobility and performance of tomorrow with electric models. Today, the 911 is still made in Zuffenhausen, where it has been since its introduction in 1964. The 718 model line and the Taycan are manufactured there, as well, and the facility’s history stretches back nearly 90 years. In 1938, Porsche made its home in Zuffenhausen as a construction office, but World War II and its aftermath would make for a drastic change in the story of the facility. In 1948, when the first 356 was made, it was hand-built in Austria. 52 examples were made like that until 1950. From the beginning of its production legacy in the 1950s, Porsche implemented innovative and efficient processes at Zuffenhausen, with principles that still apply to its production methods today. From creating the 356 and the 911, the Zuffenhausen facility would evolve to accommodate the production of Porsche’s transaxle models, the 718, the Taycan, and the boxer engines, V8 engines, and electric motors that power Porsche’s ever-expanding range of state-of-the-art luxury performance vehicles. Alongside its facilities in Weissach and Leipzig, Porsche’s Zuffenhausen facility, celebrating its 75th anniversary, is a historic site that continues to be a beacon of innovation and automotive excellence. The Best Of Both Worlds: 1995 Porsche 993 911 GT2 Tribute...

Imagine if Porsche made a car with the experience and fizz of a GT2 with the usability and comfort of a Turbo. Ask any passionate Porsche collector or enthusiast about their favorite model, and you'll likely hear two names come up most often: the 911 GT2 and 911 Turbo. While these icons sit at opposite ends of the performance spectrum, they both embody Porsche's relentless pursuit of precision and speed. Bringing together the best of both worlds and creating something truly incredible, this Porsche 911 GT2 Tribute looks the part while maintaining some characteristics from its past life. Built with the intention on creating the "GT2 Touring" that Porsche never engineered, this example focuses on delivering the comfort and usability of a 911 Turbo with the styling and authenticity of the most desirable GT car. View Price And Listing Originally imported into Japan from the factory through the team at Mizwa Motors, the 1995 Porsche 911 Turbo began its life as a factory-built example before being meticulously transformed into a 993 GT2 Tribute using OEM parts directly from the manufacturer. Part of a private collection, the first owner began upgrading the 911 Turbo with a factory Porsche GT2 widebody kit. The build quickly continued after the current owner took delivery, sourcing meticulous upgrades from Porsche like revised gearing, a GT2 intercooler, OEM suspension, and extremely rare period-correct Speedline wheels. Broad Arrow/Vintage Shogun Group and Cars USA helped bring the car stateside for the current owner, who continues to preserve its story by sharing it with the car community around the country at events. Over the years, the 993 GT2 Tribute has made waves in the Porsche scene, earning awards like Best in Show at Radwood 2024 and a Class Award at The Amelia Island Concours alongside icons like a black Ferrari F50 and triple white Lamborghini Countach. It has also been featured at Porsche Rennsport Reunion 7 and Werks Reunion, cementing itself as a well-known build among the Porsche world and its enthusiasts. As if it couldn't be any more of a unique build already, a factory Paint-to-Sample Iris Blue Metallic finish makes this GT2 Tribute the ultimate Porsche build. The factory GT2 widebody gives it the aggressive stance of a track star, and every detail has been carefully considered—from the GT2 uprights and adjustable control arms to the imported Rest of World (ROW) GT OEM lighting, including headlights, taillights, fog lights, and turn signals. To keep the exterior pristine for years, the car underwent a full paint correction, followed by paint protection film (PPF) and ceramic coating. Inside, the cabin keeps the lightweight GT2 spirit alive with some thoughtful and tasteful upgrades. A GT2 steering wheel and shifter keep things driver-focused, while Porsche sport hardback seats with matching Iris Blue backs add a bespoke touch. A Becker CR210 stereo with Bluetooth brings period-correct looks with modern usability, and a Focal speaker and amplifier improves the audio quality. The car also comes with some rare accessories, including a Porsche Classic owner's bag, a Japan-only Purple "VIP" light, and a GT2 lightweight wheel jack. The numbers-matching status is verified by a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, giving the build an extra layer of authenticity. Hidden underneath the rear aero, the car is driven by the 911 Turbo's original factory engine with some extra Porsche factory upgrades. The engine has been fully refreshed with OEM GT2 turbos and hardware, an OEM GT2 intercooler, and a GT2 exhaust. A short-throw shifter with a golden rod makes for the engaging drive of a classic 911, while the ECU has been remapped for variable boost using GT OEM mapping. On the low end, it makes an impressive 420 horsepower, while the peak power of this setup is around 550 horsepower. Despite all these GT2-inspired upgrades, it still retains its AWD setup and Turbo VIN, making it a unique, usable, and thrilling tribute to one of Porsche's most legendary models. Porsche Wins One-Two Victory At 2025 12 Hours Of Sebring

Porsche claims incredible victory at an iconic endurance racing challenge. Each year, the 12 Hours of Sebring brings the world’s premier endurance racing teams, cars, and drivers together to compete in one of the world’s most daunting endurance racing challenges. This year, an incredible group of teams, brands, and cars took to the grid at Sebring this past weekend, but the victor was a specifically iconic and historic one, with Porsche Penske Motorsport scoring an amazing one-two finish at the race. The Number 7 Porsche 963 racing hypercar driven by Felipe Nasr, Nick Tandy, and Laurens Vanthoor won the 12 Hours of Sebring after winning the 24 Hours of Daytona in January, while right behind them was the Number 6 car, driven by Matt Campbell, Mathieu Jaminet, and Kévin Estre. The victory came after an epic showdown in the final 31 minutes of the race, and it marked Porsche’s 19th overall victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring, its first since 2008. After earning the “Mr. 24 Hours title by winning the 24-hour races at Spa, Nürburgring, Le Mans, and Daytona, Nick Tandy also becomes one of the few winners of the endurance racing “Triple Crown,” having won the 12 Hours of Sebring, and the 24-hour races at Le Mans and Daytona, making him one of the world’s most decorated endurance racing drivers. Customer teams with the Porsche 963 also finished sixth and eighth at the race, while the “Rexy” Porsche 911 GT3 R driven by Laurin Heinrich, Klaus Bachler, and Alessio Picariello finished on top of the GTD Pro class, marking the first victory in one of the major endurance races of the IMSA series for the AO Racing team. As the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continues, Porsche’s victories at Daytona and Sebring, especially with Porsche Penske Motorsport finishing with both cars in the podium at both races, puts wind in the team’s sails as it prepares for the 100-minute sprint in Long Beach in April.
