Tobias Sühlmann Replaces Michael Mauer as Porsche Head of Design

By Tyler Rampersaud –  January 28, 2026

Tobias Sühlmann Is Porsche's New Head Of Design

For over 20 years, Michael Mauer has been at the helm of Porsche's design. However, the 63-year-old is stepping down to make way for a new Head of Design at the celebrated manufacturer. That is Tobias Sühlmann, a 46-year-old designer who previously served as Chief Design Officer at McLaren since 2023. While Porsche’s legacy will be shaped by Sühlmann’s tenure, Michael Mauer’s impact and influence are lasting on the brand.’ Mauer’s time at Porsche started in 2004, and he was the fourth Head of Design for the brand, succeeding Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, Anatol Lapine, and Harm Lagaay. After studying automotive design at Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences and working for Mercedes-Benz, smart, and Saab, Mauer joined Porsche, and one of the first projects under his leadership was the Panamera. Still an important part of Porsche’s lineup today, the Panamera represented a unique challenge: translating its iconic design principles into a four-door model, going beyond sports cars for the first time since the Cayenne. Mauer was also responsible for the revision of the Cayenne, and then the legendary 918 Spyder hypercar. After that, his work included modernizing 911 and bringing Porsche into the era of electrification. As Sühlmann takes over, Porsche looks forward to a new era of design, informed by his experience not only at McLaren but also at the same university as Mauer and in positions at Volkswagen, Bugatti, Aston Martin, and Bentley. However, Mauer’s 22 years of work resulted in milestone moments that Porsche and its design legacy won’t soon forget. View All Porsche For Sale Image Source: Porsche

Porsche Wins Third 24 Hours of Daytona In A Row

By Tyler Rampersaud –  January 26, 2026

Porsche Wins 2026 24 Hours of Daytona

Each year, the endurance racing season starts with one of the world’s most iconic and historic motorsport events, and certainly one of the most challenging: the 24 Hours of Daytona. With decades of heritage present in the track, the teams, the cars, and the drivers alike, the Rolex 24 At Daytona is one of the most exciting races on the calendar, starting each racing season off on a high note. This past weekend saw the 2026 Rolex 24 at Daytona take place, and the result was Porsche taking home another overall victory, its third in a row. While the win is an incredible achievement for the Porsche Penske Motorsport team, it bears even greater significance as it makes Porsche one of just three teams who has a Daytona ‘hat trick’ to their name. The number 7 Porsche 963 racing hypercar claimed the victory, driven by Felipe Nasr, Julien Andlauer, and Laurin Heinrich, finishing just one second after the second-place Cadillac. <- Gallery -> For Felipe Nasr, the victory marks his third Daytona win in a row, making him one of only three drivers in the history of the race to have that achievement, alongside Peter Gregg and Castroneves. Meanwhile, the number 6 Porsche 963 car finished in seventh place. With yet another incredible win at Daytona, Porsche is permanently engraved in the canon of legendary motorsport titans. Flat Six Fest: Outlaw Edition

By Dylan Orluck –  January 23, 2026

Flat Six Fest: Outlaw Edition

Only a handful of North American events boast a parking lot selection that rivals—or even surpasses—the quality of cars in the main event. The Concours Club is certainly one of those places. For Flat Six Fest, as you pull in through the unmistakable Concours Club gates, you are greeted by friendly staff and ushered into a parking lot filled with some of the rarest Porsches on earth. The artful display brought Porsche’s history to life with a sea of Ruf Automobiles, GT2RS’s, Carrera RS’s from different generations, and a wall of Carrera GT’s in almost every color that has ever been produced. It is only once you are inside the event that you understand The Concours Club’s unique ability to bring the car world to life with the overarching theme of Outlaw Porsches. The Concours Club is Miami’s Automotive Resort that acts as a one-stop automotive playground for car collectors around the globe. Whether you want to take your car around the track, eat an incredible meal, or store your collection, The Concours Club has it covered. The dedication to hospitality and luxury is what makes the Club the perfect location to host an event of this caliber. Flat-Six Fest was an exclusive Porsche event for members of The Concours Club and their guests. The celebration of the illustrious marque featured live music, Porsche racing, and outlaw builds. On top of that, the team created Flat-Six Village, an immersive set that offered engine building and metalworking demonstrations and an art exhibition from Manu Campa. As you made your way along the track to the other side of the beautiful clubhouse designed by Pininfarina, you are greeted by rows of sunbathing convertible Porsches, a display cleverly dubbed “Topless Beach.” At first glance, the show looked like an array of Porsches carefully placed around The Concours Club. It wasn't until I took a closer look that I realized that I was surrounded by some of the rarest and coolest Porsches in existence. GH Vehicles came out swinging and brought multiple Emory Builds, a 959, and a number of Ruf cars from Ruf North America. Prestige Imports contributed a gorgeous Gunther Werks Speedster. But the cars weren’t only for display: we also got to see Porsche in all of its racing glory as old, air-cooled racecars to new Cup cars took hot laps around the track. Porsche has the ability to bring all walks of life together and Flat Six Fest is the perfect salute to one of the automobile community’s most cherished brands. The Concours Club team knocked this event out of the park and left everyone with everlasting memories, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next. Porsche Unveils New Mural At Jewel Changi Airport For Lunar New Year

By Tyler Rampersaud –  January 23, 2026

Porsche Unveils New 'Inspired By Legends' Mural For The Year of the Horse

The coming Lunar New Year marks the Year of the Horse, and in Singapore, one of Asia’s largest cities and luxury destinations, Porsche is bringing a unique celebration of the Lunar New Year to its retail location. Porsche at Jewel is located at the Jewel Changi Airport, a unique and iconic destination located at one of the most important airports in the Asia-Pacific region. A Porsche Experience Center in Singapore is currently under construction, and once it’s finished, Porsche at Jewel will serve as a gateway for visitors who come to Singapore via Changi Airport. For now, though, it’s a unique retail concept in Singapore for the manufacturer, and it’s now housing a special mural called ‘Spirit of Legends’ that celebrates Porsche’s legacy and the Lunar New Year. Completed by artist Priscilla Tey, the artwork not only honors the Year of the Horse, but also nods to the 75th anniversary of Porsche’s participation in Motorsport, which falls on 2026. 75 years ago, Porsche won its first class victory in the 1951 24 Hours of Le Mans with a 356 “Super Leicht.” The center of Porsche’s iconic crest features a horse, as well, and that is a tribute to the city of Stuttgart. As such, the mural features horses as its main motif, with the Porsche crest in the background. <- Gallery -> The Porsche 956 is on display at the location, on loan from the Porsche Museum, and it is one of the most impactful icons of Porsche’s 75 years of motorsport history, as it won four consecutive overall victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1982 to 1985. Its Nordschleife record also stood undefeated for 35 years. Along with the mural, unique T-shirts, thermal flasks and keychains inspired by the art will be available for sale at Porsche at Jewel. The mural will be on display until 31 March 2026, throughout the festive season, bringing together a unique Lunar New Year celebration and a look back on Porsche’s legendary motorsport legacy. By Tyler Rampersaud –  January 22, 2026

Singer Unveils New DLS Turbo "Sorcerer"

Known for its radical, unique transformations of the 964-generation Porsche 911 that combine the air-cooled masterpiece’s classic charm with modern performance prowess, Singer Vehicle Design creates some of the most desirable Porsche 911 restomods on the market. Singer’s commissions are each uniquely curated, combining purist ethos with painstaking craftsmanship and performance-focused engineering, and as such, their value and cachet exists in one of the highest echelons of supercars in the industry. Singer’s latest commission, however, is the first project from the firm to reimagine the 964-generation Porsche 911 through its DLS Turbo Services, and the project has been named “Sorcerer.” In a unique engineering solution, the “Sorcerer” features the first engine from Singer to have water-cooled cylinder heads and air-cooled cylinders, along with an electric-powered fan. Combined with variable geometry twin-turbocharging, the 3.8-liter engine brings forth 700 horsepower with a 9,000-rpm rev-limit.  That power is wielded by the driver with a six-speed manual transmission, which sends it exclusively to the rear wheels, but it’s the design, luxury, and craftsmanship of the “Sorcerer” that makes it a truly special driving experience. In true Singer fashion, carbon fiber craftsmanship expertise means customers can choose between road or track-focused bodywork, and the “Sorcerer” features a dramatic, track-focused aerodynamics package. Fantasia Blue is the color, which features a gradient that darkens towards the back and pairs with satin carbon fiber throughout the exterior. Meanwhile, the interior features Pebble Gray leather upholstery with Pearl Gray Alcantara seat centers, Champagne piping, and satin carbon fiber accents. The gauges are a hand-built, floating set with Champagne bezels, with subtle and discreet solutions for phone connectivity and high-tech convenience. Combining the reputable elegance and craftsmanship of Singer with the new DLS Turbo Services program, the new “Sorcerer” commission is yet another stunning reimagined Porsche 911 from Singer Vehicle Design. Porsche Unveils New Macan Turbo Concept Lago & Frauscher x Porsche 790 Spectre

By Tyler Rampersaud –  January 20, 2026

Porsche Unveils New Sonderwunsch Macan & Electric Boat

With three all-electric models now in its luxury performance vehicle lineup, Porsche is at the forefront of electrification within the automotive industry, breaking new ground in the realms of performance and technology, and reimagining some of its most iconic nameplates. One of those is the Macan SUV, whose all-electric version shares technology with the latest sports boat from Porsche and boat builder Frauscher’s collaboration, the new Frauscher x Porsche 790 Spectre. The boat was engineered around the powertrain of the Macan Electric, and being unveiled at boot Düsseldorf 2026, the unveiling of the new all-electric boat was displayed alongside a Porsche Macan Turbo Electric that matches: the new Porsche Macan Turbo Concept Lago. Inspired by the boat it shares technology with, the Concept Lago features many of the Frauscher boat’s same marine-inspired design touches, and the generally elegant, modern, and sleek aesthetics of the vessel. Darkteal Metallic is the color of both vehicles, derived from Porsche’s Paint to Sample palette. Paint to Sample is not only available as an option to individualize Porsche cars, but it’s available for the 790 Spectre, as well. Reflecting the boat, the interior of the Macan Turbo Concept Lago features real wood floors in both luggage compartments, a compass on the dashboard, marine-grade fabric upholstery against Crayon leather, and other stunning bespoke touches. Celebrating excellence and innovation in electric mobility both on land and by sea, the new Porsche Macan Turbo Concept Lago and the Frauscher x Porsche 790 Spectre are a combination of heritage, futurism, and elegant design. Porsche Reports 2025 Sales Numbers, North America Remains Top Market

By Khris Bharath –  January 16, 2026

Porsche Reports 2025 Sales Numbers, North America Remains Top Market

In a year shaped by tariffs, trade uncertainty, tighter supply, and uneven demand, Porsche still delivered 279,449 units globally in 2025, which is down 10 percent from 310,718 units a year earlier. This decline was tied to factors such as supply gaps for key combustion models, softer demand in China, and a deliberate focus on value rather than volume. “After several record years, our deliveries in 2025 were below the previous year’s level. This development is in line with our expectations,” said Matthias Becker, Porsche’s board member for sales and marketing.  North America remains the German sportscar maker’s largest market, with 86,229 deliveries, essentially flat year over year. Porsche Cars North America reported retail deliveries of 76,219 vehicles in 2025, narrowly surpassing the prior record set in 2024 and marking the strongest sales year in its history. Certified Pre-Owned volumes also reached a record, rising 11 percent to 48,092 units, reinforcing continued demand across both new and pre-owned cars. “Driven by the loyalty and enthusiasm of our customers for the incredible cars we offer, we have achieved stability and even growth to set a new record in a market that experienced profound change in 2025,” said Timo Resch, president and CEO of PCNA. Meanwhile, Europe, excluding Porsche’s home market, saw deliveries fall 13 percent to 66,340 cars, while Germany declined 16 percent to 29,968 units. In China, deliveries dropped sharply, down 26 percent to 41,938 vehicles, reflecting weaker conditions in the luxury segment and intense competition from domestic players, particularly among electric models. At the model level, the popular mid-size Porsche Macan, now made up of both gas and all-electric variants, led the lineup with 84,328 deliveries , with 27,139 units coming from North America alone. Fully electric versions accounted for 45,367 units, while combustion variants continued to sell in non-EU markets. The Porsche 911 reached a record 51,583 deliveries, underscoring sustained demand for Porsche’s highest-margin sports car, including new T-Hybrid derivatives. As for electrification, globally, 34.4 percent of Porsche deliveries were electrified, with 22.2 percent fully electric and 12.1 percent plug-in hybrids. Over in Europe, electrified models accounted for 57.9 percent of deliveries, with plug-in hybrids dominating Panamera and Cayenne sales. The Porsche Taycan recorded 16,339 deliveries, down 22 percent, as adoption of electromobility slowed. With the all-electric Cayenne joining the lineup alongside the Macan EV, it remains to be seen how this space evolves. Looking ahead to 2026, Becker said Porsche will continue to align production with its “value over volume” strategy while investing across combustion, hybrid, and electric powertrains. Expansion of Exclusive Manufaktur and Sonderwunsch personalization programs will play a larger role, allowing Porsche to offset lower volumes with higher per-car revenue. Porsche x Frauscher To Reveal New Custom Macan & Electric Boat At boot Düsseldorf 2026

By Tyler Rampersaud –  January 13, 2026

Porsche x Frauscher Tease New Boat & Custom Macan

The world’s largest boat show, boot Düsseldorf, is opening its doors very soon, specifically on January 17. Part of the show is set to be a joint appearance between Porsche and Frauscher, each a celebrated name in their respective worlds of luxury sports cars and boat building, and at this year’s boot Düsseldorf, the brands are going to showcase a trio of vehicles that represent the height of electric mobility by land and by sea. The new Frauscher x Porsche 790 Spectre, an all-new electric sports boat will be revealed at the show, and it was built from the ground up with the same high-voltage drive system that powers the Porsche Macan Electric. To showcase their related characteristics, a customized Macan Turbo-based concept will also be on display at the show, matching the boat in its custom aesthetics and its technology. In addition to the custom Macan and the boat, Porsche’s latest and most powerful all-electric model, the Cayenne Electric, has an impressive towing capacity, meaning it is capable of towing boats like the new sports boat from Frauscher and Porsche. With excellent electric mobility being showcased with both luxury performance SUVs and boats, Porsche and Frauscher’s presence at boot Düsseldorf 2026, which includes Porsche being a mobility partner of the show and providing shuttle service throughout, represents the future of luxurious sailing and driving. 1-of-1 S/T Funky Minty: Meet Luca Trazzi’s Latest Porsche Sonderwunsh Comission

By Khris Bharath –  January 13, 2026

1-of-1 S/T Funky Minty, Luca Trazzi’s Latest Porsche Sonderwunsch Commission

We are big fans of one-off commissions here at duPont REGISTRY, and when it comes to Porsche in particular, we have extensively covered bespoke creations that exist far beyond the standard order sheet. Programs like Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) make these deeply personal builds possible, turning already special cars into singular works of art. That brings us to one of Sonderwunsch’s latest creations, dubbed “S/T Funky Minty,” for Italian designer and Porsche collector, Luca Trazzi. The exterior wears a custom Mint finish, offset by a contrasting white in the front bumper, the center stripe on the hood /roof, the window trims, mirrors, door handles, and the center-lock white wheels.  Inside, the theme continues with Mint applied to the dashboard, the center line of the steering wheels, door panels, the gear lever, carpet surrounds, and the custom Carbon bucket seats. A custom backlit sill plate reads, “S/T Funky Minty,” and serves as a reminder that this is a one-off. Trazzi himself appears in the clip wearing Mint and white Nike sneakers, matching the car. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Luca Trazzi (@lucatrazzi)   He famously also commissioned the one-off 993 Porsche 911 Speedster finished in Otto Yellow, which was unveiled at the Quail back in 2024, and became a reference example of how far the program can go when a clear vision meets factory support. Porshcephiles will know that the 993 famously skipped series production of the Speedster bodystyle. The Gunther Werks Speedster, like the one that's currently listed on our auction site, duPont REGISTRY Live, was an alternative for those seeking a 993 Speedster. We offer a 14-day return policy and a 100% sell-through rate, giving you confidence before you place a bid.  Trazzi subsequently also unveiled another one-off in 2024, a Porsche 911 Dakar (final 992 Dakar off the line) finished in Signal Yellow, Gentian Blue, and Lampedusa Blue. If you know the modern Porsche landscape, you already understand the 992.1 911 S/T’s significance. It builds on the 911R, retaining an analog character with a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat six from the GT3, manual gearbox, packaged in a lightweight chassis. That formula has made it one of the most sought-after modern-day 911s, with market transactions now landing well above original MSRPs. This latest one-off creation spruces things up even more, on what is already a highly exclusive 911, limited to just 1,963 examples worldwide.  View All Porsches For Sale Image Source: @lucatrazzi
