Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo For Sale

Today, hybrid luxury performance cars are becoming increasingly common as manufacturers use the technology to up the ante of performance and increase efficiency at the same time. Cars like the Mercedes-AMG E 53, the BMW M5, and the latest Audi RS 5 are all available with powerful hybrid powertrains, and they are also available as station wagons, a criminally underrated silhouette that, thanks to an enthusiast cult following, is beginning to get its day in the sun. However, before all of those cars, a hybrid performance wagon came along that used a similar formula to the one we see today, except in a form that was much more dramatic at the time compared to its peers. That was the second-generation Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, and in its Turbo S form, it was the most powerful Porsche Panamera sold at the time. A 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 550 horsepower was paired with a 136-horsepower electric motor, giving the system a total system output of 680 horsepower. Monstrously powerful thanks to its hybrid powertrain, the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo also shared a platform with the Bentley Flying Spur, with a similarly large footprint. Its size and wagon body style made it completely unique among other luxury performance wagons, and it was also the most powerful stock wagon in its time. <- Gallery -> With sumptuous luxury, generous size, and engineering that would prove influential to the entire industry as the years passed, the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo is a unique and highly desirable Porsche, and one is currently available for sale on Elferspot, a premier marketplace for Porsche cars and part of the growing duPont REGISTRY Group portfolio of luxury automotive lifestyle services and experiences. Located at PCH Automotive in Liège, Belgium, the car has only had one previous owner, and it sports a Rhodium Silver Metallic exterior, with a black leather interior. The car also features several luxury touches like massaging seats, carbon fiber interior accents, soft-closing doors, and more. If you’re interested in owning this stunning, unique luxury performance wagon that was arguably ahead of its time, click below to view the listing. View Listing on Elferspot Image Source: Elferspot

Porsche's New Panamera Sets A Record Lap Time On The Nürb...

The new Panamera shatters previous records at the Nürburgring. Porsche's newest Panamera has once again shown what it's made of on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, with test driver Lars Kern behind the wheel. The high-performance four-door hatch clocked in 5.64 seconds faster than its predecessor, setting a new record of 7:24.17 minutes. The milestone achievement speaks volumes about Porsche's dedication to refining its sports cars. Kern, who had previously set records in 2016 and 2020, was impressed with Panamera's improved agility, especially in tricky sections like Hohe Acht and Brünnchen. The Panamera's performance increase comes from several key upgrades, including a hybrid-assisted, eight-cylinder engine and Porsche's new Active Ride chassis. These changes, along with track-focused Michelin tires, contributed to a faster lap time. Kern emphasized the chassis' stability and agility, perfectly balancing comfort and sportiness. The new Panamera is about delivering a driving experience that acclimates seamlessly from everyday roads to demanding tracks like the Nürburgring. For the record-setting lap, the Panamera was equipped with a racing seat and safety cage for protection, but it stayed true to its series version. A specially designed Carbon Aerokit enhanced its performance by increasing downforce and improving aerodynamic balance. The new Panamera shows that Porsche continues to push the envelope. Porsche Panamera's New Color Palette: A Daring Evolution

Porsche is once again pushing boundaries through its lineup of performance focused sports cars and SUVs, this time with its color palette. The new exterior colors of the Panamera, like the Madeira Gold Metallic, are an example of Porsche's daring and innovative spirit that dates back to icons like the 964 911 Turbo. The color scheme of Porsche has experienced an exciting evolution, now categorized into four distinct themes: Contrasts, Shades, Dreams, and Legends. Contrasts are all about classic, timeless colors like black and white, offering a visual impact that won't break the bank. Shades include a range of white, grey, and black variations, like the new Ice Grey Metallic for the Panamera. The Dreams category is where Porsche lets its creativity shine. It features strong, bright colors for those owners who want to make a bold statement. New additions like Lugano Blue and Madeira Gold Metallic are best described as true head-turners. Legends is a collection of unique, elegant, and modern tones that are both timeless and trendy, like Montego Blue Metallic and Slate Grey Neo. Porsche's beloved 'Paint to Sample' and 'Paint to Sample Plus' programs allow for an even more personalized touch. With more than 170 colors, including classic Porsche hues and the option to create custom colors, the possibilities are endless. Learn how to sell your Porsche online. Volker Müller, Head of Colour & Trim at Style Porsche, emphasizes the importance of colors and their need to be timeless. Inspiration for these colors comes from various fields like fashion and architecture. The brand's history also plays a crucial role, with colors like Madeira Gold Metallic being modern interpretations of classic hues. The selection process is strict, with only a handful of the 12 to 15 new colors designed annually making it to production. The journey from an idea to a paint color is complex and collaborative. Mood boards, discussions with suppliers, and testing for technical feasibility and market preferences are all part of the process. Each color must complement Porsche's interior materials and undergo extensive testing, including durability and quality assurance. The new Panamera color range is a perfect example of how Porsche continues to set trends while staying true to its heritage. The New Porsche Panamera Is Coming In November

Porsche is adding a fourth hybrid model to the lineup. The automotive world is buzzing with anticipation for the upcoming 2023 Porsche Panamera, set to make its grand appearance in November at the Icons of Porsche Festival in Dubai. With its last finishing touches almost complete, this four-door sports car promises to elevate the driving experience to an entirely new level. If you're in the market for a slice of exotic German engineering with plush luxury, this just might be your dream ride. A few months shy of its official debut, the new Panamera is wrapping up final test drives in the picturesque landscapes of Barcelona. These aren't any ordinary test drives, though. Porsche engineers are scrutinizing the newly developed chassis with active damper control and a new Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) to ensure that the car meets its high expectations and the fastidious standards of Porsche. This thorough testing phase has spanned four continents, focusing on drivetrain performance at high altitudes, engine-cooling capabilities in extreme heat, and handling in low temperatures. When Porsche promises performance, comfort, and acoustics, they leave no stone unturned. But here's where it gets really interesting: the drivetrain. The 2023 Panamera will feature an entirely upgraded engine range, honed with a keen eye on sustainability and efficiency. Porsche will add a fourth E-Hybrid variant to its lineup, a response to surging customer demand. According to Dr. Thomas Friemuth, head of the Panamera product line, the E-Hybrid models are especially popular in some countries, making up almost 100% of Panamera sales. This new derivative aims to impress, offering a significant electric range and faster charging times. Specifically, Porsche claims that the electric performance has been increased to allow for 70% more range on electric power alone, compared to its predecessor. And speaking of electric performance, the Panamera's new E-Hybrid models will house a more powerful electric motor, seamlessly integrated into the new dual clutch transmission. The energy comes from a high voltage battery boasting a significantly higher capacity of 25.9 kWh. Plus, the 11 kW on-board charger ensures that the charging time is shorter, despite the increased energy content. That's music to the ears for those who value efficiency and speed in equal measure. Beyond the engine, Porsche hasn't skimped on the chassis and suspension. For the first time, the Panamera will offer an optional high-end active chassis with a wide range of functions. The car will come standard with a semi-active dual-chamber, two-valve air suspension system that fine-tunes both comfort and high-performance tuning. This means whether you're cruising through cobblestone streets or tearing up winding country roads, the Panamera promises an exceptional drive. With these exciting features, the 2023 Porsche Panamera is set to make an indelible mark on the luxury car market. Keep your eyes peeled for its grand unveiling in November; this is one release you won't want to miss. View All Porsche Panameras For Sale Image Source: Porsche
