By Tyler Rampersaud –  September 01, 2026

Porsche Unveils The New 911 GT3 Bergsport

The Porsche 911 GT3 is one of the most celebrated and influential performance cars on the market. With a naturally aspirated engine and the availability of a manual transmission, the 911 GT3 is one of the final bastions of enthusiast-focused sports cars, and it is also the culmination of a rich legacy of motorsport. Paying homage to a specific corner of the motorsport world: European hillclimb events, Porsche has unveiled a new exclusive special edition of the 911 GT3: the new 911 GT3 Bergsport. Limited to just 100 examples, the new Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport is exclusive to Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland. As such, its configuration pays homage to the Alps region, and it’s made to be at home in the glorious mountains where much of Porsche’s legacy was forged. Hill climb events are defined by cars with lightweight construction and precise handling, which the Porsche 911 GT3 personifies with modern performance and timeless engineering excellence. Based on the latest Porsche 911 GT3 Touring, the new GT3 Bergsport features exclusive touches that combine the GT3’s performance character with beauty inspired by the Alpine landscape. Valleygreenmetallic, a new exterior paint color, adorns the new GT3 Bergsport from Porsche’s Paint to Sample Plus palette. Designed specially for the region-specific special edition, the color features an earthy, deep green look inspired by the mountains, while gold metallic flakes echo the sun shining on melting snow. Aluminum forged wheels are equipped with the demands of mountain passes in mind, while front axle lift enhances practicality. <- Gallery -> Other exterior details include nods to the iconic Porsche 909 Bergspyder, exclusive badging, and more. Meanwhile, the interior features carbon fiber bucket seats upholstered with Valleygreen leather, orange stitching, rear seats, and special orange “GT3” embroidery, echoing the Alpenglow effect. With a legacy made in mountain pass driving, the new Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport is an ultra-exclusive homage to an important racing history, and a driving practice that is still challenging and thrilling for the best of today’s performance cars. With lightweight construction, impressive power, purist-focused engineering, and stunning bespoke design, the new Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport is a collector-grade driver’s car masterpiece. Porsche Unveils $275,000 911 Challenge Entry-Level Customer Race Car

By Charles Bradley –  August 26, 2026

Porsche Unveils $275,000 911 Challenge Entry-Level Customer Race Car

Porsche is expanding its customer motorsport family with a new race car designed to make the transition from road-going performance to competition driving more accessible. The new Porsche 911 Challenge combines the DNA of the current 911 GT3 road car with motorsport safety equipment and competition-ready driving dynamics, while emphasizing reduced operating and spare-parts costs. Porsche Motorsport North America is offering the new race car to 2027 Porsche one-make entrants for $275,000, including import and delivery to the United States. From the 2027 season, the 911 Challenge can compete in numerous one-make series worldwide. The 911 Challenge completes Porsche’s current 911-based GT race car family as its new entry-level model. Unlike the Cup race car unveiled in August 2025, the Challenge uses a significant amount of production-based GT3 technology, creating a more familiar connection for drivers moving from a roadgoing GT3 to dedicated circuit competition. “Since their introduction, the roadgoing GT3 models have shaped Porsche’s identity as a sports car manufacturer like almost no other model range,” said Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President Porsche Motorsport. “They are conceived and developed in close collaboration with motorsport. With the 911 Challenge, this tradition is being expanded to include a model that allows new customer groups to experience the thrill of motorsport in a 911.” That production-car DNA is particularly evident in the drivetrain and cockpit technology. The 911 Challenge uses the high-revving 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine largely derived from the production GT3, producing 508 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and reaching the same 9,000-rpm redline as the roadgoing model. Power is sent through a seven-speed PDK gearbox, with both automatic and manual gear changes available through steering-wheel paddles. The technology extends beyond the powertrain. The Challenge features the GT3 RS steering wheel with enhanced racing-specific functions, air conditioning and adjustable driver-assistance systems, including ABS, traction control and Electronic Stability Control. Variable dynamics systems also include multi-stage adjustable Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus. “For customers who already enjoy tracking their GT3, the step into a dedicated Porsche race car becomes more natural and familiar,” Volker Holzmeyer, CEO of Porsche Motorsport North America, said. “At the same time, it connects them directly to Porsche’s 911-based race car ladder, making the progression through our motorsport portfolio easier and more accessible.” Underneath, however, the 911 Challenge makes a decisive shift toward motorsport. Its shock absorbers use a motorsport-specific characteristic curve, while the standard anti-roll bar is adjustable in three positions. Racing slicks are mounted on 18-inch wheels using the standard five-bolt pattern, while steel racing brake discs measure 380 mm in diameter at both the front and rear. The cabin makes the car’s purpose unmistakable. Sound-deadening materials, carpets and trim have been removed, replaced by a welded-in roll cage designed to reinforce the structure and enhance crash protection. A 29-gallon (110-liter) FIA FT3 fuel cell, adjustable racing bucket seat, six-point harness and fire-extinguishing system complete the safety-focused specification. An integrated three-jack air-jack system is standard, while an FIA-certified rain light, integrated hood quick-release fasteners and a mechanically adjustable rear wing with four positions further emphasize the car’s competition-ready character. The 911 Challenge is not street legal. Instead, Porsche positions it as a dedicated circuit machine for racing, testing, driver development, track days and private motorsport activities, with broader availability to enthusiasts expected later in 2027. In the United States, the car is eligible for the Porsche Sprint and Endurance Challenge North America by Yokohama, the Porsche Sprint Trophy Porsche Club of America by Yokohama and the recently announced Porsche Sprint Trophy Porsche Owners Club, subject to applicable regulations. As Porsche’s most accessible 911-based competition car, the 911 Challenge opens a new gateway into the marque’s customer racing ladder – pairing the familiarity of the GT3 with the uncompromising focus of a purpose-built race car. Porsche Brings Manual 911 Carrera S Back To North America

By Tyler Rampersaud –  August 13, 2026

Manual Porsche 911 Carrera S Returns To North America

Monterey Car Week is one of the most anticipated times of year on the automotive calendar, for collectors, brands, drivers, and enthusiasts alike. This year, Porsche is catering to purist enthusiasts by unveiling a new variant of its legendary sports car, the 911. Recognizable across the globe as a luxurious, fun-to-drive, beautiful, and historic performance machine, the 911 is enjoyed by legions of fans, many of whom adore the analog appeal of a manual transmission. That’s changing, though, as Porsche chose Monterey Car Week as the venue to unveil a new Porsche 911 Carrera S with a six-speed manual transmission, exclusively for the North American market. Initially, the 911 Carrera S in the 992.2 generation was available only with a PDK transmission, but it is now available with the MT package for the 2027 model year. About the manual transmission’s return to the 911 Carrera S, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America Timo Resch commented, “As a lifelong driving enthusiast I’m personally excited to announce the return of the manual transmission to the Carrera S. “While some brands are abandoning the manual, we are proud to continue offering three pedals in a range of products that speaks to different use cases. Managing a clutch and shift lever isn’t for everyone, but for the drivers who want it there really is no substitute.” <- Gallery -> With the addition of the new 2027 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe and Cabriolet with the MT package, Porsche now offers a total of seven variants of the 911 with manual transmissions, joining the 911 Carrera T Coupe and Cabriolet, the 911 GT3, the 911 GT3 Touring, and the 911 GT3 S/C. The manual Porsche 911 Carrera S is exclusively available with rear-wheel drive, and also offers rear-axle steering, a ride-lowering PASM Sport suspension, the Sport Chrono package, unique exhaust tuning, and a walnut shift knob. The manual variant also offers 17 pounds of weight savings in the form of center-lock wheels. Meanwhile, the 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine mounted at the rear provides a robust 473 horsepower, and weighing only 11 more pounds than the Carrera T Coupe, it makes for incredible backroad driving. Distinguishing itself from the Carrera T is the ability to specify Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes. Highlighting the significance of the manual transmission, the shift pattern can be seen in the puddle lights of the car, as well. The new 2027 Porsche 911 Carrera S with the MT Package is available to order at Porsche dealerships now. For the Coupe, the starting MSRP is $167,100, and the Cabriolet starts at $181,000, plus a $2,350 fee for delivery, processing, and handling. Revitalizing the glory of the manual for Porsche enthusiasts, deliveries of the new manual Carrera S are set to begin by the end of 2026. Porsche Reveals Three New One-Off 911s At The World Premiere of Toy Story 5

By Tyler Rampersaud –  June 09, 2026

Porsche Reveals New Toy Story 5 One-Off 911s

Porsche and Pixar have decades of shared legacy, as the legendary Cars movie saw the creation of Sally, a character in the original film who is based on the 996 Porsche 911 Carrera. Sally inspired the one-off Porsche 911 ‘Sally Special,’ which sold at an RM Sotheby’s auction during Monterey Car Week in 2022 for $3.6 million, with the sale’s proceeds benefiting Girls Inc. and USA for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. More recently, Porsche teased the unveiling of new one-off Porsche 911 bespoke commissions, this time created in relation to the new Toy Story 5. The fifth installment of one of Pixar’s most successful and celebrated series, the film’s world premiere is taking place in Los Angeles today, and a new trio of one-off bespoke Porsche 911s will make their debut on the red carpet. The cars are inspired by the characters Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie. Envisioned in a powerful collaboration between Disney, Pixar Animation Studios, and Porsche, the trio of vehicles will be sold as part of a charitable effort to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross, and Starlight Children’s Foundation. <- Gallery -> About the collaboration, Jay Ward, Creative Director of Pixar Animation Studios, said, “For decades, kids around the world have been discovering the Toy Story films – now with these cars, we’re excited to bring Toy Story into the world in a new way, and in a way I think will be surprising and exciting for fans.” Inspired by Buzz Lightyear is a bespoke Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which features a white, green, and purple color scheme evoking his iconic suit. It’s equipped with the Weissach package, and is one of the final GT3 RS examples of the current model year, with special details like a Fire Red striped pattern on the lower wing element, Light Sport Grey wing struts, and wing endplates in Lizard Green. Bespoke Goodyear tires are given custom “Lightyear” sidewall lettering, special badging nods to his character’s lore, and the interior features Pebble Grey leather, Arctic Grey Race-Tex, and Violeta leather upholstery, alongside details like “To Infinity and Beyond” illuminated door sills, and special roof liner stitching. The Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS serves as the basis for the car inspired by Jessie, which is finished in a bespoke Jessie White Metallic exterior color. Inspired by the pearl buttons on her shirt, the color is paired with 944 Cobalt Blue Metallic and Atacama Yellow accents, with pinstriping and details in GTS Red. The custom interior features leather in Dark Night Blue, Bordeaux Red and Pebble Grey, alongside denim-look fabric, carpets with a cowhide pattern, and “YEE HAW!” illuminated door sills. Woody served as the inspiration for a Porsche 911 Carrera T, with a custom exterior that mimics the patina and natural wear of a pair of jeans. Coffee Black serves as an accent color, while the front spoiler lip is painted in Aurum, and Fire Red graphics spell Woody’s name. The vehicle also sports a custom set of wheels. Inside, vintage leather is combined with Dark Night Blue, alongside the denim-like fabric used for the Jessie-inspired car, and the floormats also feature the cowhide pattern. “Ride Like the Wind!” lettering can be seen in the illuminated door sills. Making their debut at today’s red carpet premiere of Toy Story 5, this new trio of bespoke, one-off Porsche 911s is an ode to a cultural icon that has been celebrated by generations, which in turn will be sold to help benefit causes that nurture future generations to come. Porsche 911s With Manthey Performance Kits Set Records At Road Atlanta

By Tyler Rampersaud –  May 19, 2026

Manthey Kit Porsche 911s Set Records At Road Atlanta

Porsche Cars North America’s headquarters are in Atlanta, Georgia, and nearby in Braselton, Georgia, is the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, one of the country’s most iconic racing venues and the home of the annual Petit Le Mans endurance race. There, Porsche brought three 911s to the circuit with hopes of domination, and all of them were equipped with Performance Kits from Manthey Racing, which are made available for Porsche’s top-brass GT cars to take their track performance to an unprecedented level. Manthey Performance Kits often tweak the aerodynamics, chassis, and suspension of already highly impressive performance vehicles, and they proved their abilities at Road Atlanta on the 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, the 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and the new 2026 Porsche 911 GT3. Porsche brand ambassador and former factory driver Joerg Bergmeister was behind the wheel of all three, and the success on the track included a new production car lap record for the track. That was achieved with the 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, which, even after almost a decade, continues to be a global benchmark for track-focused performance. With a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter boxer six-cylinder engine, the 911 GT2 RS with the Manthey Kit beat the previous production car lap record by 0.2 seconds. The lap time, achieved with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R N0 tires, was 1:22.649. Combining the GT2 RS’s immense power with increased downforce, the performance is nothing short of formidable. <- Gallery -> Meanwhile, the 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which boasts up to 2,200 pounds of downforce with the optional Manthey Performance Kit, achieved a lap time of 1:23.932, becoming the fastest naturally-aspirated production car to lap Road Atlanta, and only a second short of the record-breaking 911 GT2 RS. About it, Bergmeister says, "The downforce of this car is simply incredible.“ The 2026 911 GT3 achieved an impressive time at Road Atlanta, as well, lapping the track with the available Manthey Kit in just 1:24.639. The time is 1.8 seconds faster than the 992.1 911 GT3 from 2022, proving itself to be an improvement on an already respectable track-focused car. Each of the three 911s with Manthey Kits proved their incredible performance engineering at Road Atlanta, reinforcing Porsche's track domination near its American home turf. Porsche Collaborates With “League Of Legends: Wild Rift”

One of the most prominent and genre-defining MOBA games in the industry is League of Legends, and the intellectual property has risen far beyond just being a popular game. With a well-established e-sports presence, television shows, music, and more, League of Legends has risen into an unequivocal entertainment powerhouse. One of its spin-offs is a mobile game called League of Legends: Wild Rift, and Porsche has minted a new partnership with the game’s developer, Riot Games, centered around the mobile title. In-game, Porsche and Riot Games have co-created a cosmetic “skin” for the Wild Rift character Kai’Sa. With nods to Porsche and a motorsport-inspired design, the skin is part of Wild Rift’s “Neon Daredevil” update, which includes an alien planet where high-speed, futuristic vehicles compete. One of those combines design inspiration from League of Legends lore and the Porsche 911 GT3. The update is available from April 30 to May 28 for Wild Rift players. <- Gallery -> However, in real life, a bespoke Porsche 911 GT3 has also been created as part of the collaboration between Porsche and Wild Rift, and the livery takes inspiration from the Kai’Sa skin design, bringing the game to life. Events hosted by Porsche and Riot Games at the Porsche Experience Centers in Los Angeles and Shanghai will give members of the gaming community the chance to experience the vehicle. The bespoke car also features in a short film set in the universe of Wild Rift, which was filmed near Barcelona.
