The Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Is The Favorite Car Of The Ea...

The joy of driving a Porsche is fit for a royal. For many, giving up a career to attend to a family tragedy is a setback that can be quite disappointing, and while it absolutely was for William Herbert, who was an industrial designer when his father unfortunately passed away, that family tragedy left him with an entirely new set of responsibilities and traditions, as his family was of English nobles, hailing from the incredible, 14,000-acre Wilton House, a well-known 17th-century house in the UK which has been in the family for over 400 years. MUST READ: One of 407 Porsche 911 SC Weissach Editions Is Owned By a 17-Year-Old Entrepreneur William Herbert became The Right Honourable William Herbert, 18th Earl of Pembroke in 2004 at 26, and now he’s 44, and while he’s settled into his role at the seat of the ancestral home, his passion for cars has never died. The former riding school at the home now features an incredible car collection, and its newest member is a Porsche 911 GT3 Touring. The Earl first experienced a friend’s 911 GT3, and he was blown away by its performance, and after driving one at Silverstone, he decided that he simply needed to get one of his own.  The subdued look of the Touring version of the GT3, along with its everyday comfort and usability is what sold him, and after nearly a year of searching for the right one, he was able to reserve a car with the perfect spec. The unabashed performance and the gentlemanly elegance of the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring is what makes the Porsche 911 GT3 the perfect car for the Earl, who is even thinking about retrofitting rear seats to make it usable for the school run. Discover The One-Off Porsche Cayenne Convertible Concept ...

Shortly after the launch of the first-generation model in December 2002, three additional variants came in for consideration. As Porsche continues its 20 year celebration of the iconic Cayenne, the German sports car manufacturer takes a deep dive into its archives of historic models. With an innovative mindset and an unlimited budget, its no surprise that the Porsche concept department was full of one-off examples that would never see the light of day. Presenting three alternative body shape to the first-generation Cayenne, Porsche is proud to showcase the one-of-one convertible variation. The Cayenne convertible came into consideration after stretching a coupé version by 20 centimeters, while also incorporating a row of rear seats and a retractable canvas roof. Today, there is still a single example of the open-top Cayenne kept in storage at the Porsche Museum. It is not a road-going prototype, however, but what is known as a Package Function Model (PFM). MUST-READ: Porsche Celebrates 20-Years of The Cayenne, The 959 Successor While the exterior underwent multiple design phases, Porsche engineers were unable to implement the appropriate body-stiffening measures necessary for a road-legal convertible. The sport styling of the Cayenne Convertible includes a rear end that mimics the lines of the 996 911, which became an area where designers were unable to agree on a final look. The disagreement of the rear design resulted in two different sections, boasting two completely different ideas and shapes. If the drop-top Cayenne had made it to the actual production line, Porsche was at the ready to install a now familiar soft-top mechanism that would quickly transform its appearance. Ultimately, the mechanism never made it past the computer simulation stage and the fabric top is now stored in the luggage compartment. After bringing back the idea of a Cayenne Coupé in 2019 with a successful production model, Porsche did not pursue the idea of a new convertible cars any further. The New 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 R Is Porsche's Latest Racing...

The Porsche 911 GT3 feels at home on the track, but this new 911 GT3 R can’t be anywhere else at all. Especially when it comes to the track-ready GT renditions of the latest 911 generation of the Porsche 911, innovations throughout the car have made it one of the most powerful, capable, and fast Porsche 911s yet. The naturally-aspirated 6-cylinder produces incredible amounts of power, and when that's combined with the car’s lightweight structure and dynamic setup, the handling and speed of the latest 911 GT3 are ready to race. Now, the new 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 R has been revealed, and its purpose is to turn race-ready into race-only. It’s the newest customer racing car from Porsche, and it takes the innovation and performance of the incredible 992-generation 911 GT3 further than we imagined it could go. MUST READ: Best Porsche 911 GT3s (992) You Can Buy Today For starters, the engine in the new 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 R is larger, going from 4.0 liters to 4.2, and with a bigger engine comes more power, and that amount is 565 horsepower, up from 502 in the roadgoing 911 GT3. Along with the increase in power, Porsche optimized the torque and power curve so that as much performance as possible is there exactly when you need it, whether it be between challenging corners or sprinting through a straight. The GT3 R features an underbody diffuser, and to accommodate it, the engine had to be tilted forward by 5 degrees. The gearbox is derived from the GT3 Cup race car, and shifts are done quickly through paddles. The suspension is easily configurable and reduces the wear on the rear tires, with 5 adjustments available for the KW shock absorbers. Derived from the 911 RSR, the underbody of the car allows for clean airflow under the car to the rear diffuser, and the wheelbase has been extended at the back to further preserve the life of the rear tires. Specialist brake company AP supplies the brakes, which are over 15 inches at the front and 14 inches at the back, and nearly the entire body is made of lightweight carbon fiber. The latest GT3’s signature swan-neck wing makes a reappearance in the GT3 R, this time in a much larger size for clean airflow and optimal downforce. The interior is modified to comply with new FIA side impact protection regulations, and the interior features the most granular details that optimize the car for racing, like a harness with a tongue that slides into the clasp even quicker, which makes driver-change pit stops quicker. While Porsche designed the new 2023 GT3 Cup to be a racing car that would be optimal for drivers of varying skill levels, it’s priced quite seriously at $567,210 and it’s only available in North America through Porsche Motorsport North America. That said, that serious price pays for some serious performance, and on the track, everything about the car you’re driving matters when it’s being pushed to its limits. Porsche Increases Sales Revenue, Operating Profit, And Re...

When it comes to the road, track, and in business, count on Porsche to perform. Despite a challenging environment for the entire automotive industry, Porsche has managed to increase its sales revenue, operating profit, and return on sales in the first half of 2022. So far, the year has given the car industry a tough challenge with supply issues making it difficult for automakers to deliver cars. Even in the face of this, Porsche has managed to increase sales revenue by 8.5% to nearly $17 billion, and operating profit by an incredible 24.6% up to $2.7 billion. Although fewer cars were delivered in the first half of this year than the first half of last year, the return on sales increased to 19.4%. MUST READ: Porsche Delivers 5% Fewer Vehicles Worldwide In The First Half of 2022 Compared to 2021 Porsche credits this increase to a strong product mix and the benefits of current currency exchange rates. As the Porsche Cayenne celebrates its 20th anniversary, Porsche has been celebrating taking what was at the time a risky decision to invest in creating a luxury performance SUV, and to this day, that decision still benefits the brand as the Cayenne remains one of Porsche’s most popular models. Porsche hopes to continue this success with the goal of reaching a return on sales of 20% in the long term, and while challenges still loom over the industry, Porsche sees this success as a sign that it has what it takes to persevere. Porsche Announces That The New 2023 911 GT3 RS Is Coming ...

Two very important letters are coming to shake up roads and racetracks worldwide. The 992 generation of the Porsche 911 GT3 is an unthinkably fast performance car, with Porsche managing to get an incredible 502 horsepower out of its naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter 6-cylinder engine, which rockets the lightweight and dynamic car to 60 mph in as little as 3.2 seconds, and up to a speed of up to 199 mph. Once we saw how capable the Porsche 911 GT3 is, we have been anticipating just how explosively powerful and fast the GT3 RS would be, and now, we’re going to find out. MUST READ: 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Price & Specs Porsche has announced that the 992 generation of the 911 GT3 RS will be unveiled on August 17 and that its development was inspired by the 911 RSR and 91 GT3 R GT race cars. It’s going to be even more track-focused than before, and Porsche says that it is incredibly happy with the 4.0-liter engine and its capabilities, which is why the improvements in the 911 GT3 RS will focus on the chassis and aerodynamic capabilities.
