As Rivian’s lineup grows and its legacy continues to be built, the brand has announced a new partnership, aiming to educate consumers about the engineering, science, and innovation behind its vehicles. That partnership is with CrunchLabs, a STEM company founded by engineer and YouTube content creator Mark Rober. The multi-phase collaboration aims to give consumers a closer look at the science and engineering expertise that goes into Rivian’s EV technology.
CrunchLabs is known for its ability to break down complex engineering concepts in the form of engaging, family-friendly videos. In the partnership, Rober will reveal the ingenuity behind Rivian’s electric vehicle platforms, autonomous processes, and safety features. The debut of the partnership will take place at SXSW on March 13 in Austin, Texas, where Rober and RJ Scaringe, the founder and CEO of Rivian, will host an official event at Rivian’s Electric Roadhouse with a live science demonstration from Rober and an on-stage conversation between the two.
Through the partnership, CrunchLabs highlights and demystifies Rivian’s EV technology, while also encouraging the next generation of mobility technology and engineering pioneers. As Mark Rober’s exclusive automotive partner, Rivian and CrunchLabs are dedicated to showcasing EV innovation as integral to the future of mobility, with a belief that engineering and innovation can solve real-world problems, and that science and technology are approachable.
Continuing the partnership after SXSW, Rivian and CrunchLabs will unveil multiple videos across social platforms, participate in channel takeovers, and create short-form content, all visible to Mark Rober’s audience of over 500 million viewers across platforms, including 73 million subscribers on YouTube alone. Additional live activations will also follow the SXSW debut, bringing the marvels of EV science to consumers and families across the country’s Rivian retail spaces. With CrunchLabs as a new partner, Rivian is sharing the marvelous science and engineering behind its electric vehicles.
