Rivian plants its roots even deeper in Georgia.
Recently, Rivian began a landmark investment in the area of Atlanta, Georgia, starting with a new manufacturing site located just outside of the city, which is one of the biggest population hubs in the South. Now, the development of Rivian’s presence in Atlanta is growing even further, as the manufacturer is establishing a new headquarters facility in the area, bringing more jobs and economic activity to the area, as well as even greater presence for Rivian’s brand on the East Coast.
Opening in late 2025, the new Rivian headquarters office in Atlanta will occupy the top floor and lobby of Portman Holdings' Junction Krog District building, and 100 people are set to be employed in the building by the end of the year, with 500 people working at the new headquarters when it is fully built as further expansion takes place in 2026.
Bringing its groundbreaking electric vehicle innovation and cutting-edge technology to Georgia, Rivian’s new headquarters in the Atlanta area is set to further enhance the manufacturer’s existing plans to create a 7,500-person facility, along with establishing partnerships with universities, technical colleges, and other institutions to help provide continual economic opportunities and growth as it scales. As Rivian’s brand keeps growing, the Atlanta area benefits even more from its expansion than before.
