2009 Spyker C8 Laviolette Listed For Sale

Spyker is in the midst of a renaissance, with a new supercar set to be unveiled at this year’s Monterey Car Week. Its return is especially triumphant after enthusiasts have anticipated the brand’s return for years. Known for its unique supercars in the 2000s, Spyker was known for its eye-catching lineup, despite the fact that its cars were produced in quite small numbers. One of those models is the C8 Laviolette, which stood alongside the original C8 Spyder as its coupe counterpart. It’s powered by a 4.2-liter Audi V8 engine, which is naturally aspirated and boasts 400 horsepower and 354 lb/ft of torque. The engine is mounted amidships, and the car sends its power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Along with its analog engineering, the Spyker C8 also features the dramatic design language of Spyker’s 2000s models and distinguishes itself from the Spyder with a fixed glass roof. In addition, the C8 Laviolette features a dramatic air intake and riveted panels, all inspired by Spyker’s previous heritage of creating aircraft. Only 55 examples of the Spyker C8 Laviolette were made globally, and one is currently listed for sale on duPont REGISTRY. The source for supercars since 1985, duPont REGISTRY is known for specializing in rare and desirable exotic and luxury cars like the Spyker C8 Laviolette. This particular 2009 Spyker C8 Laviolette for sale is available at The Cultivated Collector in New Canaan, Connecticut. While Spyker dates back well over a century as a name in the automotive and aviation industries, it emerged in the early 2000s as a supercar manufacturer with an eclectic, vintage-inspired style and an exclusive, over-the-top offering. While its cars were iconic and exclusive in the 2000s, Spyker faded from the industry in the 2010s and hasn’t manufactured cars for quite a few years. It’s listed on duPont REGISTRY, the source for supercars since 1985, and the 2006 Spyker C8 for sale is currently available at Graham Rahal Performance in Brownsburg, Indiana. It’s one of just 121 examples of the supercar that were manufactured, and it’s finished with a black exterior and a tan leather interior. At its heart is a 4.2-liter Audi V8 engine, giving it 395 horsepower. The world of supercars is vast, and if you want a vehicle that combines luxury, performance, and style, there are plenty to choose from. Very few, however, will match the unique eclecticism of a Spyker. A Dutch manufacturer, Spyker, originated in the late 19th century and manufactured cars and airplanes before going dormant in 1926. However, a modern Spyker was founded in 1999, which was responsible for creating supercars that combined modern silhouettes and performance with vintage charm and old-school aircraft-inspired design elements. View Listing The first production model to come from the Spyker of the 2000s was the C8 Spyder, a unique open-top supercar. It is powered by an Audi-derived 4.2-liter V8 engine and it features bodywork that features plenty of vintage-inspired chrome details, mesh grilles, and other unique touches. With only 121 examples in existence, it’s one of the most exclusive and eye-catching machines to come out of the unforgettable 2000s era of supercars, and a rare opportunity to own one has arisen with this 2009 Spyker C8 Spyder for sale at Galpin Lotus Beverly Hills in Beverly Hills, California. 2008 Spyker C8 With 676 Miles For Sale

"Nulla Tenaci invia est via" has been their corporate philosophy since 1914. This Latin phrase is engraved on the car to remind us that "For the tenacious, no road is impassible". Spyker only builds a handful of cars each year, as the Dutch artisans forego mass-production in favor of old-world quality. Every C8 shares influences from Spyker's famous aircraft, but we have never seen another example in yellow. This car was ordered with every option, from quilted leather to machined aluminum on every possible surface. The shift rods of the six-speed manual transmission are exposed for all to see, making artwork out of mundane components. As you can see from the switch guards, nothing about this car is arbitrary. The Spyker C8 is often found as the centerpiece of a curated collection, and they also make a great investment. Prepare to be amazed! 2007 Spyker C8 Laviolette For Sale

The Dutch work ethic and engineering expertise is legendary. Trapped between France and Germany, the Netherlands doesn't play favorites. That's why the Spijker brothers built cars and aircraft that changed the world. After anglicizing the company name, they built a revolutionary race car. The 1903 Spyker 60 hp had 3x the power of its competitors. It was the first car with a six-cylinder engine, first with 4 wheel hydraulic brakes, and the first car with All-Wheel-Drive. 2007 Spyker C8 Laviolette For Sale Half a century before its time, Spyker set a standard for engineering and aerodynamics that other automakers couldn't hope to replicate. That is why their logo is a Latin phrase " Only For The Tenacious". This not only applies to their engineers and craftspeople, but it is equally applicable to Spyker owners. Still ahead of competitors in terms of style and aerodynamics, the C8 Laviolette was the first C8 coupe. The cloth top was replaced by panoramic glass, and the roof is bisected by a ram-air intake. Glass T-tops were a $16,000 option, which sets this car apart from all others. Not only do they cut the amount of drag, but the engine is also able to offer 400 horsepower. The name is an homage to Joseph Laviolette, the engineer who built the aforementioned 60 horsepower car in 1903. Like all Spyker models, no detail has been overlooked. From the exposed shifter to diamond-stitched leather, you are surrounded by a work of art. The machined aluminum dash is a throwback to their aircraft division, and the gauges are reminiscent of their WW1 fighters. The reason you don't see Spykers that often is that they are built-to-order. Instead of flying to the Netherlands to spec your car, we offer this pristine example as the perfect blend of art and engineering. This handbuilt masterpiece deserves to be the centerpiece of your collection, so click the link below for all the details.
