The BMW CE 02 x VAGABUND combines futuristic design with retro elements, creating a unique urban eParkourer experience.
BMW Motorrad has collaborated with the Design & Makers Studio VAGABUND in Graz to create the BMW CE 02 x VAGABUND, an eParkourer designed for urban environments. The custom project branches away from typical BMW Motorrad Heritage models like the BMW R 18 and BMW R 12 nineT, delivering a fresh take with a “retro-future” DNA. The concept blends modern elements with nostalgic touches, resulting in a bike that is both innovative and reminiscent of past styles.
The BMW CE 02 x VAGABUND showcases a futuristic design complemented by subtle retro-inspired details. VAGABUND aimed to create a balance between the cutting-edge and the familiar, which is apparent in features like the “OB-4 Magic Radio” from Teenage Engineering. The new release also includes practical components, such as an “electric exhaust” that doubles as a storage space for an umbrella. The use of skateboard grip tape on the running board adds a sporty touch.
The custom eScooter is presented in a distinctive 12-foot-high packaging, adding a unique visual element to the overall presentation. The collaboration between BMW Motorrad and VAGABUND reflects a shared interest in exploring new design possibilities and redefining traditional concepts. The BMW CE 02 x VAGABUND stands as an example of how innovation and tradition can coexist, offering a fresh perspective on urban electric mobility.
