Bugatti’s hypercar grand finale takes to the open road.
All good things come to an end, and in the world of cars, that couldn’t be more true. Unfortunately, it’s true for the time of Bugatti’s W16-powered hypercars, a two-decade era of incredible performance machines that changed the world of performance with unfathomable power and unprecedented engineering. However, the W16 Mistral roadster is Bugatti’s final W16-powered hypercar, featuring the quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter engine producing an incredible 1,578 horsepower, paired with an open top for the ultimate driving thrill.
True to its open top experience, the Mistral is named after the wind, and specifically a wind that sweeps across southern Europe and the French Riviera. In a new video from Bugatti on YouTube, the historic manufacturer shows off its futuristic, avant-garde hypercar roadster in action, taking on the winding coastal passes of the French Riviera among its namesake wind.
With only 99 units of this undeniably historic hypercar being made, it’s a truly incredible sight seeing the new Bugatti W16 Mistral roadster showing off its incredible open-top performance, doing the grand finale of the W16 era of Bugatti justice.
