An automotive icon gives us a look at his spectacular home.
Automotive enthusiasts know him as one of the biggest names in the Porsche universe, but Magnus Walker’s abilities include talent in design, and fashion, as well as automotive collecting and customization. In a new video on Everhouse’s YouTube channel, fans of Walker and his illustrious career can get a close look at his iconic residence in downtown Los Angeles, which features mementos from his many projects and endeavors, showing off his unique design approach, his various collaborations, and of course, his extensive collection of incredible cars.
The two-story brick home is a preservation of construction from various parts of the twentieth century, proudly showing off the history of the buildings with its industrial, eclectic design aesthetic. Within the luxurious and artistic home, industrial concrete floors mix with mid-century modern furniture, and gothic design elements all at once.
The home is also responsible for housing Walker’s incredible car collection, including an array of Porsches from various eras, and also vehicles like a bespoke Pininfarina Battista all-electric hypercar, which is showcased as a curated art piece on a wood floor with furniture nearby. Other proudly displayed cars include custom Porsche 911s recreated as Hot Wheels toys, and serving as inspiration for a collaborative Nike sneaker design. Known for his love of the air-cooled Porsche 911, he drives examples of the unforgettable sports car icon around Downtown LA, preserving automotive history and proudly showing his unique aesthetic and lifestyle.
The stunning house has now become a popular filming location, a purpose that began with the filming of a Missy Elliott music video. The filming location business revenue allowed Walker to collect even more cars, from more Porsches to examples of vintage Rolls-Royces and Corvettes. With an incredible collection of cars that sit among eclectic art and stunning, unique design, positioned as pieces of art and important culture themselves, Magnus Walker’s Downtown LA home tour is a must-watch for any car enthusiast or esthete.
