TWR races onto the scene with two familiar names and one unbelievable car.
Modern reinterpretations of the automotive world’s most celebrated cars seems to be the new topic of discussion within the industry, highlighting bespoke builds that deliver the perfect balance of classic styling and modern performance. Established in 2020 by Tom Walkinshaw’s son, Fergus Walkinshaw, TWR aims to preserve the DNA and spirit of analog driving with expertise as a leader in both performance and motorsport engineering. With Porsche petrolhead Magnus Walker (@magnuswalker) and artistic designer Khyzyl Saleem (@the_kyza) on board with the Newbury, Berkshire-based brand, TWR is proud to redefine automotive excellence by debuting the all-new V12 Super-GT ‘Supercat’.
The TWR Supercat takes shape as a limited production series based on the Jaguar XJS platform, strictly limited to only 88 individual builds as an homage to the TWR Jaguar XJR-9’s big win at Le Mans in 1988. Meticulously modernized with the help of Design Consultant Mangus Walker and Vehicle Designer Khyzyl Saleem, the Supercat features a bold and contemporary carbon fiber design inspired by cars like the XJR-9, XJR-15, and even the iconic XJ220. The resculpted body adds an extra aggressive layer of aero to the Jaguar XJS’ iconic profile, silhouette, flying buttress, and front end.
Under the hood of the TWR Supercat lies a massive, supercharged V12 engine that delivers more than 600 brake-horsepower directly to the rear wheels. Managing all that power is a 6-speed manual gearbox that only further demonstrates TWR’s focus on providing a connected and analog experience to its community of owners. With the reservation book now open for orders, the TWR V12 Super-GT ‘Supercat’ is available in all major international markets with an initial refundable deposit of $12,500 and a starting build price of $300,000.
