Using a next-to-priceless factory crate of tools that originally came with the purchase of an F1, the team lifts the McLaren to remove its wheels in order to clean every inch. A paint correction had been decided after discovering a series of surface swirl marks in the paint, which uses polish and polishing pads to break down the contaminated top layer to get to a fresh base. After spending almost the entire day working on both the paint and the wheels, the McLaren F1 is transformed into contemporary, showroom condition. Whether it’s a million-dollar hypercar or your daily driver, it goes to show that any car’s appearance can come back to life with good cleaning products and some elbow grease.
