Mecum Auctions gets ready for its first of two Texas auctions this year.
“Everything is bigger in Texas,” as the adage says, and legendary collector car auction house Mecum Auctions is looking forward to it applying with regards to its next upcoming auction, the first of two that are set to take place in Texas this year, at Houston’s NRG Center from April 3 to April 5. At this year’s Mecum Houston auction, several collections will be featured, with a total of over 1,000 lots.
Some of the biggest highlights include cherished classics, like a 1971 Chevrolet Corvette LS6 Convertible which is one of only 188 of its kind, a unique custom 1980 Corvette, a 1970 Plymouth Superbird of the rare 4-speed V-Code variety, a pre-war 1929 Ford Model A Town Sedan, and the Scott Lougheed Collection. Other customs set to cross the block at the anticipated 2025 Mecum Houston Auction include a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback, a 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 Back To The Future replica, and a 2013 Insanity Cushman Custom.
The anticipated Mile High Collection includes a variety of prized off-roaders with low mileage, like a 2023 Ford Bronco “King of the Hammers” Edition with just 299 miles and a 2014 Ford F150 SVT Raptor Roush Pickup with 1,600 miles. The Bailey Car Collection, with unique Mopar examples, classic muscle cars, and unrestored classics, will also be crossing the block. With a lineup of desirable collector automobiles set to sell, Mecum’s 2025 Houston Auction at the NRG Center is building significant anticipation before it begins in early April.
