Genesis Introduces New Prestige Black Trim For 2026

Genesis gives its most luxurious models a dark makeover for 2026.

Amidst an arena of manufacturers that have been around for decades if not longer than a century, Genesis has managed to significantly shift the landscape of luxury vehicles in only roughly a decade. Thanks to a lineup that combines sumptuous features, robust powertrains, luxury-oriented engineering, cutting-edge technology and stunningly elegant design, Genesis is continually on a meteoric rise of luxury automotive success. In the near future, concept cars and development announcements have shown that Genesis has a performance division and a racing effort on the way, as well as new electric models.

For the 2026 model year, Genesis is adding a new trim for its most luxurious models: Prestige Black. The models that will be offered with it are the G80 luxury sedan, the G90 flagship luxury sedan, the GV80 SUV, and the GV80 SUV Coupe. The trim, showcasing a dark, sleek luxury aesthetic, was previously only available in Korea, but is now coming to the United States for the 2026 model year, consisting of a darkened front bumper and trims, two available exterior colors: Vik Black or Uyuni White, black wheels, a black interior with ‘Black Ash’ open-pore wood trims, and other black finishes throughout the interior.

The Genesis G80 Prestige Black carries a starting MSRP of $79,350, while the G90 Prestige Black starts at $105,750, the GV80 SUV starts at $83,250 and the GV80 Coupe starts at $89,400. Finally coming to the United States for the 2026 model year, those who want a darkened twist on the opulent luxury aesthetic of the Genesis lineup can experience that with the new Prestige Black Trim level of its most luxurious models.
