Don’t blink or you’ll miss it.
As supercars and hypercars continue to become more advanced, with hybrid technology propelling them into a whole new performance bracket, it’s becoming an industry standard to see new models roll off factory production lines bearing almost 1,000 horsepower. For Lamborghini’s first-ever HPEV (High-Performance Electric Vehicle), the Revuelto, that figure remains true as the successor to the ever-popular Aventador comes packed with 1,001 horsepower at the ready. Putting all that power to the test, automotive YouTuber Brooks Weisblat (@DragTimes) recently visited Bradenton Motorsports Park in his newest video to see how the Lamborghini Revuelto would perform on a 1/4-mile drag strip.
Upon arriving at the drag strip, the intention was to try to beat Brooks’ personal best run behind the wheel of his Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which ran an impressive quarter-mile time of 9.52s at 146.61 mph. But after another Lamborghini Revuelto finished in Verde Scandal and showed up with a full $20,000 Gintani titanium exhaust, it also became a performance comparison experiment. The very first pass in the Revuelto proved to be enough to put itself ahead of the SF90 Stradale, aggressively launching off the start line and sprinting to the end of the track in 9.46s at 146.93 mph. The times only got quicker as Brooks went head-to-head against a 992 Porsche 911 Turbo S in the Revuelto with a full Gintani exhaust, securing the win with a run of 9.41s at 148.31 mph. The fun continued throughout the night as the Revuelto took on other worthy competitors like the hybrid-assisted Ferrari 296 GTB.
