Lucid Motors sets new standard for EV efficiency.
The arena of electric vehicles is highly competitive and rapidly growing, with manufacturers ferociously racing to push the industry forward by setting new benchmarks for performance, efficiency, and technology available in new EVs. However, one of the boldest innovators in the EV landscape is Lucid Motors, a relatively young manufacturer whose vehicles continuously push the envelope of what EVs are capable of, and a new world record has further cemented Lucid Motors’ role as one of the world’s boldest electric vehicle innovators.
The Lucid Air, Lucid’s first production EV model and a luxurious electric sedan with copious high-tech features, has a range of trim levels that boast impressive range, performance, and versatility throughout. One of the top trim levels of the Lucid Air is the Lucid Air Grand Touring, which offers the highest driving range in the Lucid Air lineup. However, the Air Grand Touring achieved an incredible new feat, earning a Guinness World Record as the longest journey by an electric car on a single charge.
That journey, which started in St. Moritz, Switzerland, and ended in Munich, Germany, spanned a total of 1,205 kilometers, which roughly equates to 749 miles. The record-breaking journey beat a previous record of 1,045 kilometers, and it marks the second achievement through a collaboration between London-based entrepreneur Umit Sabanci and Lucid Motors, after using a Lucid Air Grand Touring to visit the most countries on a single charge, driving through nine countries. With incredible range and a new Guinness World Record under its belt, the Lucid Air Grand Touring represents the best in EV innovation.
