Maserati’s new supercar era gets a homecoming with fanfare.
Maserati has revolutionized itself as a manufacturer with the introduction of the MC20, a new supercar that succeeded the mighty MC12 and ushered in a new era of performance for the historic Italian luxury brand, not only with the supercar itself, but also with the Nettuno twin-turbo V6 engine that has since gone on to characterize all of Maserati’s performance-oriented models.
Since then, another new supercar has emerged from Maserati, the MCPURA, which is available in both coupe and convertible variants, which was first unveiled at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, and was then showcased at Monterey Car Week. Now, the new Italian supercar has officially made its homecoming debut, being shown for the first time in Italy at this year’s Turin Auto Show.
With 630 horsepower coming from its twin-turbo V6, the new Maserati MCPURA is considered a “natural evolution” of the MC20, showcased with the excellence of Maserati’s Fuoriserie customization program, in a stunning shifting Ai Acqua Rainbow color, in matte for the coupe and in gloss for the Cielo convertible. With added power and the further enhanced luxury that its Fuoriserie finishes showcases, the Italian debut of the new Maserati MCPURA at the Turin Auto Show is the grand opening of a new chapter for Maserati’s rich and cherished legacy.
