Maserati’s al-fresco grand touring EV gets an exclusive twist.
Maserati revived its iconic GranTurismo luxury performance coupe recently, and with it also came the GranTurismo Folgore, the first all-electric model revealed by the historic manufacturer. However, along with it came its open-top counterpart, the GranCabrio, and its all-electric counterpart, the GranCabrio Folgore. As the first all-electric luxury performance grand tourer on the market, the new Maserati GranCabrio Folgore is a pioneer in the luxury automotive world, and now it’s going even further with a new bespoke example: the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello.
The bespoke GranCabrio, created exclusively for Marchesi Antinori, was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tignanello, a celebrated Italian red wine. Coinciding with the 110th anniversary of the Trident, Maserati came together with Marchesi Antinori to celebrate his family’s over 600-year winemaking history. The car is set to be auctioned on July 14 in California at Festival Napa Valley’s Arts for All Gala.
Its beautiful configuration is inspired by the timeless beauty of vineyards and the iconic Tignanello wine itself. The bespoke Terra di Tignanello paintwork evokes the soil and estate of the vineyard, with its warm chestnut color and copper accents adding to the elegant aesthetic. Inside, burgundy and silver are paired with dark briar wood, and lasering echoes the burning marks on wine barrels, adding to the car’s myriad artisan details.
Combining futuristic all-electric performance with timeless luxury and an elegant look, the bespoke Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello celebrates 50 years of beautiful red wine, over six centuries of a family’s winemaking history, and one century of Maserati’s luxury automotive excellence. Altogether, this new bespoke open-top grand touring EV is a stunning celebration of history and a look forward to the incredible future of automotive luxury.
