Mercedes-AMG electrifies its four-door grand tourer.
The Mercedes-AMG GT is one of the greatest expressions of AMG performance, as a grand tourer made for spirited driving and luxurious accommodation alike. The latest generation of the new Mercedes-AMG GT coupe is more versatile than ever before, with a range of available powertrains, and the availability for rear seats. However, the four-door coupe variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT is yet another facet of the iconic performance vehicle, with the practicality of a four-door and the thrill and style of a grand touring coupe.
Mercedes-AMG has recently unveiled the new flagship performance version of the GT 4-Door Coupe, the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE 4-Door Coupe. The new model uses an electrified plug-in hybrid powertrain to achieve new heights of performance, using a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 and an electric system to muster a massive 831 horsepower and 1,032 lb/ft of torque.
Sending power to all four wheels in both electric and combustion forms, the new GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE 4-Door Coupe rockets from 0-60 in a blistering 2.8 seconds, reaching a 197-mph top speed, which is incredible for a four-door model. Its electrified engineering is derived from Mercedes-AMG’s Formula 1 efforts, contributing to incredible high-performance driving, while also allowing for the new AMG four-door coupe to drive in an all-electric mode at speeds of up to 87 mph. Other drive modes cater to comfort, spirited, engaging performance, and confident security and safety on wet surfaces.
A dedicated sound experience adds thrill and excitement to all-electric driving, while the luxurious interior features AMG-specific touches throughout to showcase the vehicle’s formidable performance potential. For stopping power, carbon ceramic brakes come as standard thanks to the vehicle’s impressive brawn. With its incredible 831 horsepower thanks to a twin-turbo V8 and hybrid system, the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE 4-Door Coupe is the new most powerful production vehicle to come out of Affalterbach.
