Mercedes-Benz USA reports sales with a significant increase in EV and Top-End segment vehicles.
Mercedes-Benz USA has just reported a stellar finish to 2023 with their Q4 sales figures reaching new heights. A total of 72,313 Mercedes-Benz passenger cars were sold, paired with 17,701 Mercedes-Benz Vans, totaling an impressive 90,014 vehicles sold in the quarter. This performance highlights the brand’s appeal and the successful adoption of its future-forward strategy. The Top-End segment, including the much-coveted Mercedes-AMG models and electric vehicles (EVs), saw a remarkable 15% increase in sales compared to 2022, with a total of 94,391 units sold. This surge in demand reflects the market’s growing appetite for luxury and high-performance vehicles. Additionally, the Mercedes-AMG sales alone jumped by 22%, while the GLS model saw an extraordinary 131% increase in the last quarter of 2023.
Electric Vehicles, a cornerstone of the brand’s ongoing electrification strategy, witnessed a staggering 248% growth in 2023. This surge comes courtesy of the fully electric EQS SUV, which alone saw a 216% increase in sales. The Core segment also showed strong performance with a 14% increase, led by the continuing popularity of the C-Class. The Entry segment, despite a slight 4% dip, saw significant gains in specific models like the CLA and the electric EQB. Mercedes-Benz Vans also had a profitable quarter, with sales up 14%, setting the stage for the much-anticipated launch of the eSprinter. Adding to this success, Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) models recorded a 2% increase in sales. With these achievements, Mercedes-Benz showcases its dominance in the luxury automotive sector and its readiness to lead in an increasingly electric future.
