Polestar has hit a significant milestone as an innovative auto manufacturer with the start of deliveries for the upgraded Polestar 2. This new version solidifies the company’s growth, building on the success of the original Polestar 2, which was the brand’s first volume car and went into production in 2020. In just three short years, over 150,000 Polestar 2 cars have been manufactured, showcasing the rapid adoption of the cutting-edge EV around the world. Especially in the UK, where over 20,000 Polestar 2 cars are on the roads.
Polestar has achieved status as the fastest-growing car brand in the first seven months of 2023, with new vehicle registrations soaring by 174% compared to the same period the previous year. The upgraded Polestar 2 boasts several enhancements, including improved software, better quality, longer range, and faster charging. The Polestar 2 long-range single motor now offers up to 654 km WLTP, and the maximum DC charging speed reaches up to 205 kW with the new 82 kWh battery. Polestar CEO, Thomas Ingenlath, encapsulates the excitement around the upgraded version, saying, “It is the basis from which we continue to grow our business.” As Polestar’s reputation for innovation and performance continues to spread, the upgraded Polestar 2 represents an exciting chapter in the company’s journey.
