Polestar showcases its electric performance in the gaming world.
Driving simulators and racing video games have provided an outlet for automotive enthusiasts to experience cars that they cannot drive in real life. Many have become so excellent in terms of realistic physics and graphics, as well as featuring vast car lists of both old and new favorites, and stunning locations to drive through, that more manufacturers are looking to showcase their vehicles through this virtual venue.
One of the premier driving simulators on the market is Gran Turismo, a longstanding series now in its seventh installment. As part of the latest update to the game, out today, the Polestar 5 has been added to the vast lineup of cars available to drive virtually. While the new high-performance electric luxury grand tourer won’t be available to test drive until mid-2026, Polestar has taken advantage of the Polestar 5’s addition to Gran Turismo 7 and offered prospective customers to drive the car at selected Polestar spaces.
The new flagship model from Polestar, the 5 is capable of a blisteringly quick 3.2-second 0-60 time, and has immense electric power on tap. With that compelling performance, a competitive aspect has been introduced to the car’s addition to the game, featuring virtual time trials at Polestar spaces and a worldwide time trial for players on Brands Hatch. The winner will embark on an exclusive trip to Fukuoka, Japan, to attend the world finals of the 2025 GT World Series.
The game is available to play now on the PlayStation console, and the new Polestar 5 flagship is one of hundreds of cars available to experience in the world of Gran Turismo 7. One of the most exclusive experiences available within the game, the car’s inclusion is a chance to get behind the wheel of the new flagship Polestar 5 before real-life test drives are available.
