The last Porsche 911 Dakar is a truly special one.
The Porsche 911 Dakar is a radical reimagination of one of the world’s most legendary sports cars, evolving the stories of Porsche 911 models made to race in the revered Paris-Dakar Rally, and transforming them into a new Porsche 911 that shows off a new level of versatility: the ability to thrill as a performance car both on and off-road. Emerging as a unique off-road supercar, the new Porsche 911 Dakar is also one of the most exclusive Porsche 911 models, with only 2,500 examples made. The final example, commissioned for an Italian car collector, was made even more special thanks to Porsche’s bespoke Sonderwunsch program.
Handed over in the Porsche Museum, the final Porsche 911 Dakar shows off an incredibly unique Sonderwunsch configuration, which can be most prominently seen in its three-tone paint job. The colors are Signal Yellow, Gentian Blue, and Lampedusa Blue, a bespoke shade created in collaboration with the car’s owner, and named after an Italian Mediterranean island. The three-color design fits perfectly in the Rallye Design Package for the Porsche 911 Dakar.
The bespoke wheels are also painted in Signal Yellow with Lampedusa Blue accents, and Lampedusa Blue also adorns the headlights. Throughout the interior, yellow trim and accents provide a striking contrast to the black upholstery. Inside and out, Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program customized this special, one-off Porsche 911 Dakar throughout, individualizing it for its collector and ensuring that the finale of one of the most intriguing iterations of the legendary Porsche 911 would truly be special.
