Porsche enthusiasts use color to tell captivating stories.
Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur lets collectors and owners turn Porsche’s iconic and unforgettable performance cars into beacons of personal expression and style, and the results are automotive dreams come true. One of the latest is a new example of the Porsche 911 S/T, the highly exclusive driver’s car that pairs peak naturally aspirated power with a manual transmission, classic styling, and pared-back driver-focused elegance. Built to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911, only 1,963 of them will be made, and this example adds even more exclusivity, being part of Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program.
It’s owned by Kentucky-based horse breeder and passionate Porsche enthusiast Jorge Carnicero. Its most prominent feature is its vivid color, a bespoke shade called Dani Blue, which was developed by Color & Trim designer Daniela Milošević, who the color is also named after. Paired with Graphite leather, the Pepita houndstooth fabric inside the car also features a complementing blue color. The special bespoke 911 S/T will be one of Porsche’s highlights at this year’s Monterey Car Week.
Carnicero wanted a blue car, as blue is his favorite color. The development of the color began with four “paint frogs,” or miniature Porsche 911 speed forms painted in iconic blue hues. Enamel Blue was the favorite of the bunch, the color of a Porsche 901 (which would be renamed the 911) from 1964. Enamel Blue was then adapted and redeveloped to be more modern, making the color slightly darker and more vivid, and thus, it became Dani Blue.
The interior is full of easter eggs, including an embossed “Dani” on the side of the dashboard, nodding to the namesake woman behind the color. With its commemorative driver’s car excellence, hair-raising performance, and exclusivity that puts it among the most desired Porsche models on the market, the Porsche 911 S/T is truly something special in Porsche’s legendary sports car lineup. However, Jorge Carnicero took it further by creating a one-off masterpiece with his dream color, showing what makes the Sonderwunsch program so special for enthusiasts.
