Located in Columbus, Ohio, Byers Porsche excels both in the showroom and on the track. Byers Porsche recently was awarded the prestigious title of 2019 Porsche Premier Dealer, an award earned by only the top 25 Porsche dealers in the country. Paired with their 2018 IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA championship title with JDX Racing and young Porsche driver, Trenton Estep, the “We Race What We Sell” slogan couldn’t be more precise.
Although dealer business comes first for Byers Porsche, they are no stranger to Porsche Motorsport. In 2015, Byers Porsche started their motorsport endeavor sponsoring Corey Fergus, a Porsche Brand Ambassador at Byers, who has a pedigree for racing! They won their class championship in a Porsche Cayman. The following season, they moved up to the Porsche GT3 Cup car where they continue to race today!
Fast Forward to 2019, Byers Porsche has continued their partnership with JDX Racing in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA Presented by Yokohama Tire. This season, Byers Porsche has stepped up their campaign with the addition of three young drivers to the JDX Racing roster. Sean McAlister, Jeff Kingsley, and Parker Thompson are all competing with, and against, one another for the coveted championship!
The next race takes place this weekend, May 3rd-5th, at Byers Porsche’s home track, The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Byers Porsche and JDX Racing are also excited to welcome the duPont REGISTRY onboard the #11 Porsche GT3 Cup Car driven by 2019 IMSA Hurley Haywood Scholarship Winner, Sean McAlister! McAlister currently sits in 6th place in the driver’s championship following the season opener at the Grand Prix of Alabama!
