F1 champion Lewis Hamilton and Casa Lumbre’s Iván Saldaña introduce Almave, the inaugural distilled non-alcoholic blue agave spirit.
As part of a new groundbreaking partnership, seven-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton and agave aficionado Iván Saldaña, co-founder of Casa Lumbre, have unveiled Almave as the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic blue agave spirit. Hitting the market on October 26, 2023, Almave offers two expressions tailored for different drinking experiences: Almave Ámbar for sipping and Almave Blanco for mixing. Aiming to bridge a noticeable market gap for authentic, non-alcoholic tequila alternatives, the duo used their expertise and passion for quality and authenticity to develop a game-changing new spirit. Unlike other non-alcoholic spirits, Almave is made from blue agave, the key ingredient in most traditional tequila.
The spirit mirrors the production processes native to tequila-making, skipping only the fermentation stage where alcohol is generated. This meticulous crafting gives consumers the unique opportunity to enjoy the signature agave flavor without the alcohol content. With Almave Ámbar retailing at $39.99 and Almave Blanco at $35.99 per 700ml bottle, and containing only 20 calories per 2oz serving, it’s an exciting option for those seeking quality without lacking on flavor. The spirits will initially be available online, followed by a retail and bar rollout in 2024. In the words of Lewis Hamilton, “There’s a huge appetite for quality alternatives for times when people don’t want to drink alcohol but also don’t want to compromise on flavor.” This collaboration between Lewis Hamilton and Casa Lumbre marks a moment in the spirits industry, pushing the boundaries of what non-alcoholic beverages can offer.
