Warmth and clarity are not known to digital listeners, so McIntosh has unveiled a 2-channel tube headphone amplifier. I don’t care about bitrate, analog audio will never be usurped. Back when MP3 players were gaining ground I decided to build a crude headphone amp using parts from a shack that sold radios. However, I could never foresee such a powerful and useful device. With separate inputs for right and left, you can keep an ear on the baby while listening to your favorite film. The ability to balance both sides eliminates discrepancy while you enjoy a depth that digital could never offer. From an audiophile, it is the best way to experience personal sound without upgrading your MA12000.
