In the rarefied world of bespoke automotive craftsmanship, finales carry as much weight as firsts. With the unveiling of Project Endgame, Gunther Werks delivers both – a definitive closing statement on its acclaimed Speedster program and the opening chapter of an even more exclusive future.

Conceived as a true one-of-one commission, Project Endgame represents the ultimate evolution of the Gunther Werks Speedster, distilling nearly a decade of engineering refinement into a singular, open-air machine. More than a culmination, it also introduces GWX, the marque’s new bespoke coachbuilding program, designed to push the boundaries of personalization and craftsmanship to unprecedented levels.

The car will make its public debut at the Air|Water event in Costa Mesa on April 25, 2026, before being exclusively displayed at the museum by the Natsukashii Foundation. For collectors and enthusiasts alike, it represents a rare opportunity to witness a singular creation – one that encapsulates the ethos of Gunther Werks at its most extreme.
“Project Endgame is unlike any Speedster we’ve built before, with every element precision-engineered and designed in absolute collaboration with the client,” said Peter Nam, CEO and founder of Gunther Werks. “Even the most granular details were taken into account and refined. In this case, performance was paramount. At the client's behest, Endgame will be the only Speedster powered by an air-cooled turbocharged engine, undoubtedly making it our fastest Speedster to date.”

At its core lies a formidable powertrain that underscores that performance-first mandate. Built by Rothsport Racing, the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six produces 840 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque. Revving to 7,500 rpm, the motorsports-derived engine channels its output to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox with bespoke ratios, delivering both immediacy and precision.
A flat-fan system – an homage to Porsche motorsport – ensures even cooling across all six cylinders, while twin air-to-water intercoolers, plated in 24-karat gold, highlight the fusion of performance engineering and artisanal detail. That philosophy extends seamlessly to the exterior. The carbon-fiber bodywork, shaped for aerodynamic optimization, retains the timeless silhouette of the Porsche 993 while incorporating enhancements derived from the Gunther Werks Turbo.

Newly developed rear quarter panels accommodate the enlarged turbocharged engine, contributing to what is now the highest power-to-weight ratio of any Gunther Werks commission. At just over 2,600 pounds, Project Endgame pairs immense output with lightness.
Visually, the car is as dramatic as it is deliberate. Finished in a bespoke True Candy Red – a process requiring three weeks to complete – the widened and channeled carbon body is accented by 24-karat gold mirror and headlight bezels. These details underscore the level of personalization now possible under the GWX program, where materials, finishes, and design elements are tailored without constraint.

Inside, the same obsessive attention to detail defines the experience. Carbon fiber surfaces are complemented by dyed leather and Alcantara, alongside gold and Satin Stealth plating. Even the gear lever becomes a centerpiece, wrapped in 24-karat gold and set with six gems arranged in a 1-6 pattern, transforming a functional component into an object of artistry.
Project Endgame is, by design, both a conclusion and a beginning. It marks the final expression of the Speedster lineage while simultaneously introducing GWX as a platform for future one-of-one commissions – each limited only by the imagination of its client. In doing so, Gunther Werks reinforces its position at the intersection of high-performance engineering and modern coachbuilding, where exclusivity is defined not by volume, but by individuality.
