Alfa Romeo Launches New Driving Academy

Alfa Romeo is one of the oldest and most cherished names in the automotive industry, and it’s certainly one of the most formative and important manufacturers in the story of Italian automotive excellence. With a reputation that has lasted over a century for creating beautiful and spirited cars, as well as being involved in the racing world, Alfa Romeo has been a partner of Scuderia de Adamich since 1991. Now, that partnership of 35 years is being continued with the new Alfa Romeo Driving Academy, which features four distinct programs and calls the Varano de' Melegari track home. The track has long been the home of Scuderia de Adamich, and its location is part of Alfa Romeo’s broader initiative to highlight Italy’s “Motor Valley” region and its unequivocal concentration of automotive excellence. The program uses the entire Alfa Romeo lineup, including the Giulia sedan, the Stelvio SUV, the Tonale SUV, and the compact Junior that isn’t sold in the United States. Four levels of driving experience are catered to, with Safe Driving, Advanced Driving, Sporty Driving, and an Advanced Driving level above Sporty Driving. The courses also showcase the breadth of Alfa Romeo’s approach to sporty driving, including all-electric powertrains, turbocharged engines, diesel engines, and hybrids. Through the courses, drivers, with the help of professional driving instructors, will get a chance to understand Alfa Romeo cars at a deeper level, feeling the dynamics, grip, and acceleration for themselves. As Alfa Romeo continues to affirm its Motor Valley presence alongside the BOTTEGAFUORISERIE project, the new Alfa Romeo Driving Academy powered by Scuderia de Adamich is yet another showcase of Alfa Romeo’s historic automotive excellence and performance-oriented spirit. Alfa Romeo Reveals "Most Extreme Quadrifoglio Ever"

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is the current iteration of a cherished legacy for Alfa Romeo, with the legendary four-leaf clover symbol first appearing over 60 years ago to represent Alfa Romeo’s involvement in the worlds of performance and motorsport. Today, the Giulia Quadrifoglio boasts a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with immense levels of power, along with stunning design and luxurious features, but a new, ultra-exclusive variant of the Giulia Quadrifoglio, the new Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa, takes the cherished performance nameplate to the most extreme level yet. Showcased at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, Alfa Romeo brought forth the new Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa as the latest creation from BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, and its the result of a newly minted partnership between Alfa Romeo and Luna Rossa, the iconic Italian sailing team. With a new carbon fiber kit, the Luna Rossa is the most aerodynamically efficient Quadrifoglio ever, with its rear wing generating up to five times more downforce than the standard car, and inspiration for its design being drawn from the Luna Rossa AC75. 520 horsepower is on tap in the new Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa, and its iridescent paint color is inspired by the Luna Rossa AC75 boat that took part in the 37th America's Cup in Barcelona in 2024. A Luna Rossa livery is also on the sides of the car, with red-painted 19-inch wheels, and various uses of visible carbon fiber throughout. The interior of the Luna Rossa features Sparco seats and touches inspired by the sailing team, including a dashboard fascia that uses the same material as is seen in the boat’s sails. Alfa Romeo became a partner of the Luna Rossa team in 2025, sponsoring the team officially as it prepares to compete in the 38th America's Cup, the world’s most prestigious sailing competition. It will be held in Italy for the first time, taking place in the gorgeous bay of Naples. Honoring the iconic new partnership, the new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa will only see ten examples made globally, showcasing the highest echelon of Italian performance excellence by land and by sea. Alfa Romeo, Maserati Launch BOTTEGAFUORISERIE: A New Era ...

Italy’s legendary Motor Valley just became even more extraordinary: Alfa Romeo and Maserati – two OEM icons of design, performance, and passion – have united under a new creative banner called BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, a bespoke collaborative hub between these two Italian high-end Stellantis brands to produce personalized vehicles for its customers. Stretching from Modena to Turin and Arese, BOTTEGAFUORISERIE brings together the timeless legacies and forward-looking visions of Alfa Romeo and Maserati. Under the leadership of Cristiano Fiorio, reporting directly to Santo Ficili, Alfa Romeo CEO and Maserati COO, this new venture will serve as the heart of Italy’s expanded Motor Valley, merging innovation, artistry, and heritage into one immersive experience. At its core, BOTTEGAFUORISERIE is a celebration of luxury craftsmanship, a place where every surface, seam, and curve embodies Italian ingenuity. More than a design center, it’s a philosophy – where passion, technology, and artisanal mastery combine to create truly one-of-a-kind automobiles. “This launch is more than the creation of a new initiative – it is the symbol of a new era for Alfa Romeo and Maserati,” said Santo Ficili, Alfa Romeo CEO and Maserati COO. “It represents our unwavering belief in the power of Italian creativity, engineering, and craftsmanship. “I am proud to entrust this mission to Cristiano Fiorio; his exceptional work on projects like the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale and our motorsport programmes has demonstrated not only technical mastery but also a deep emotional connection to the soul of our brands. This is the first milestone in a broader transformation that will define the future of both Alfa Romeo and Maserati.” A Hub for Bespoke Italian Mastery BOTTEGAFUORISERIE is structured around four pillars: BOTTEGA, FUORISERIE, Corse, and La Storia – each representing a distinct but interconnected world of luxury craftsmanship. BOTTEGA is where ideas become reality, a workshop for “few-off” custom builds like the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale and the Maserati MCXtrema, both examples of extreme engineering and artistry. Each project is hand-built in Italy by elite designers, technicians, and artisans. Every creation is unique, crafted in close synergy with the client, and represents the sartorial heart of Italian automotive design. FUORISERIE, meanwhile, elevates personalization to an art form. The advanced customization program allows owners to transform their vehicles into personal statements of identity and taste. Dedicated design teams guide each customer through color, material, and design innovations – offering an unmatched level of creative freedom that turns every Alfa Romeo and Maserati into a bespoke expression of individuality. Preserving Heritage Through “La Storia” BOTTEGAFUORISERIE also embraces history as a living art. Through La Storia, both brands’ heritage divisions will restore and certify vintage cars, curate museum collections, and preserve archives. Visitors can explore this legacy at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese and the Umberto Panini Maserati Collection in Modena, both central to the initiative’s experiential approach. Every restoration is handled with the precision of haute horlogerie, combining modern technology with old-world craftsmanship. As the brands note, each project becomes “a dialogue between eras,” where the spirit of the original model is preserved while its expressive power is reimagined for the modern age. From Track to Road: Corse The final pillar, Corse, channels Alfa Romeo and Maserati’s racing DNA into innovation. Drawing on motorsport expertise and Italian engineering excellence, BOTTEGAFUORISERIE’s performance center will develop next-generation technologies in aerodynamics, chassis design, and powertrains. Maserati’s recent victories – including its GT2 European Series championship title in the AM Class – stand as proof that performance remains at the heart of every creation. “We are extremely proud to announce this extraordinary joining of forces between two iconic brands,” said Jean-Philippe Imparato, Maserati CEO. “BOTTEGAFUORISERIE represents the meeting point between vision and reality. This is where dreams will be shaped into reality, where the extraordinary becomes tangible.  “Guided by creativity and discipline, each project is the result of rigorous research and unwavering dedication. By combining the finest in Italian design, engineering, and culture, BOTTEGAFUORISERIE embodies a unique approach to shaping the future – one we deeply believe in.” Performance as an Act of Culture Under the patronage of the Altagamma Foundation, BOTTEGAFUORISERIE aligns Italy’s most exclusive creative disciplines under one roof – from coachbuilding to couture-level personalization. “Being entrusted with the leadership of BOTTEGAFUORISERIE is both a profound honor and a thrilling challenge,” said Cristiano Fiorio, BOTTEGAFUORISERIE General Manager. “This is somewhere where past, present, and future converge – where we celebrate our heritage while daring to imagine what’s next. I will draw on the incredible experiences gained through special projects and motorsport to guide this new journey.  “With a team of passionate, talented individuals, we will craft vehicles that are not only technically exceptional but emotionally unforgettable. Our mission is clear: to honor the legacy of Alfa Romeo and Maserati, and to write the next chapter in their history with boldness, beauty, and authenticity. Performance is an act of culture. Creating beauty is a form of art.” A New Benchmark for Italian Luxury BOTTEGAFUORISERIE represents more than a collaboration – it is a manifesto for modern Italian luxury, merging history with innovation and design with emotion. For collectors, enthusiasts, and connoisseurs, it signals a new chapter in the evolution of two of the most storied marques in automotive history – and a renewed commitment to craftsmanship as a living art form. Alfa Romeo Tonale Updated For 2026: Drops Hybrid Power, G...

Following a successful run with the Stelvio, when Alfa Romeo introduced the Tonale in 2022, the Italian marque attempted to tap into the lucrative sub-compact crossover SUV segment by offering something sporty, dynamic, and distinctive. Three years on, and the Tonale facelift aims to carry on that vision. The updates for 2026 are subtle but deliberate, and are aimed at giving the small Alfa more of what enthusiasts expect. Staring upfront, the concave scudetto grille, inspired by the limited-run 33 Stradale supercar, is a clear nod to Alfa’s heritage, making the Tonale appear wider. The overhang has been shortened, and both front and rear tracks are broader, giving it a more purposeful stance. New 20-inch, three-hole wheels on the Sport Speciale trim recall Alfa’s iconic “telephone dial” design, while Brembo calipers in gloss black hint at capability beneath the refreshed styling. New colors include classic shades like Rosso Brera, Verde Monza, and Giallo Ocra.  Inside, the updates lean towards sporty with a new red leather option, now available for the first time, alongside black. The Sport Speciale trim introduces Alcantara-trimmed seats with white stitching. The Dash, door panels, and armrest all carry contrasting stitching to tie everything together. Features like eight-way power front seats with ventilation and heating, and a subtle layer of ambient lighting that lifts the overall cabin. Mechanically, Alfa made a bold move: they dropped the plug-in hybrid option, aligning with Stellantis’ broader moves to re-evaluate its electrification strategy. The 2026 Tonale now relies solely on a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four cylinder, which produces 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, that’s mated to a nine-speed automatic and Q4 all-wheel drive. The Tonale shares its platform with the Dodge Hornet, both of which ride on a transaxle front-wheel drive layout. Since the target demographic for the Tonale is those looking for a sporty SUV, handling is top priority, and details like a tighter 13.6:1 ratio matter, making the Tonale one of the most responsive SUVs in its class. Dual-mode suspension tuning should give the baby Alfa an edge over more comfort-oriented rivals, keeping it close to the brand’s historic emphasis on driver engagement.  Within the compact luxury crossover segment, the Tonale competes with models like the BMW X1, Audi Q3, and Mercedes-Benz GLA, yet its personality remains more distinct, trading outright practicality for engagement and style. Available across Sprint, Veloce, and Sport Speciale trims, the Tonale is set to arrive in late 2025, with expected pricing between $45,000 and $55,000, positioning it below most of the competition. The Significance Of The 1-of-1 Alfa Romeo 8C DoppiaCoda B...

At this past weekend’s 2025 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, Zagato was once again in the spotlight for showcasing its latest coachbuilt cars. Besides the BMW M4 convertible-based Bovensiepen Zagato, the Milanese atelier also unveiled the Alfa Romeo DoppiaCoda: a one-off concept that reimagines the iconic 8C Competizione. A model in production between 2008 and 2010, the 8C also served as the base for the stunning Disco Volante by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. This particular build was Commissioned by an Italian collector, and is a follow-up to the six-cylinder Giulia SWB project from 2023. It pays tribute to the legendary 8C lineage, which dates back to the 1930s, when Alfa Romeo and Zagato first collaborated on race-winning cars. “We may have just started a new chapter in Zagato design, focused on researching tail sections and exploring new aerodynamic and stylistic solutions to spark innovation. With the 8C DoppiaCoda, instead, we created a true fusion of round and truncated tails into a single body style—one that still preserves the functional benefits of both.” Andrea Michele Zagato, President of Zagato The front facia features revised air intakes and a sharper headlight profile compared to the standard 8C. The black contrasting with Zagato’s signature double-bubble roof serves as a great visual contrast to the striking red paintwork. However, The highlight of this bespoke one-off commission is in the name;  ‘DoppiaCoda’, which in Italian translates to ‘double tail. Unlike a detachable tail-section seen on the AGTZ Twin-Tail, the DoppiaCoda combines two of Zagato’s most distinctive design codes: the signature the aerodynamic Kamm-tail (Coda Tronca), or truncated near-vertical tail section, and rounded-tail (Coda-Tonda), resulting in a singular, visually striking yet functional rear end. A contemporary interpretation of two classic design elements from the past, the wrap-around fixed wing, which appears detached when viewed from the rear, is actually hormonally integrated into the body and enhances both downforce and aesthetic appeal.  Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 with 'Coda Tronca' Tail Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ2 with 'Coda Tonda' tail The Coda Tronca is a design solution traditionally used in extreme, race-inspired sports cars. But if applied directly to a high-class GT like the 8C, the tail would have felt visually heavy. That’s why this “wing tronca” was developed specifically for this car.”— Norihiko Harada, Chief Designer at Zagato Although there’s no word on the 8C Doppiacoda's exact performance specifications, the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione featured a 4.7-liter Ferrari/Maserati F136 Yc V8 engine under the hood, with 444 horsepower on tap, paired to a six-speed automated manual transmission. As previously mentioned, this is a bespoke one-off build with no plans for further production. The Alfa Romeo Doppiacoda won the Concept Car Cup at this year’s Villa d’Este, and not only does it serve as a reminder of beauty and individuality, but also a celebration of more than a century of collaboration between Zagato and Alfa Romeo.
