Renault Sport R.S. 01 "Interceptor" - Race Car Cop Car

Renault's Sport R.S. 01 is a monster of a race car that's powered by a Nismo 3.8-liter V6, borrowed from the Nissan GT-R. It can generate 500 hp and 44s lb-ft of torque, making it quite the powerful vehicle when you considering its light weight of 2,425 lbs. Now, those aforementioned specs are great for a race car, but even moreso for a police car. And that's why Renault Sport turned the car into the "interceptor" and made it one of the world's fastest cop cars. In the video below, you can see the Interceptor in action, with rally legend Jean Ragnotti behind the wheel.Honestly, if I were getting pulled over by the Sport R.S. 01, I wouldn't even be mad. Check out the video and images below to see the car for yourself, before it pulls you over.Exotic Cars For Sale

ReviewBAC unveiled their first 2016 Mono at Goodwood, and the press went wild. This roadgoing, street legal vehicle based on a Formula-1 car may not be the car to take a date out in, seeing as it’s a one-seater, but it’s definitely a fun one to take out on the roads. Created by Neil and Ian Briggs in Liverpool England, the Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) Mono serves to take the performance of a Formula-1 car and make it accessible and usable both on and off the track. Yes, it’s fast, topping out at 170 mph. With that kind of power and speed, its performance lands in the same category as the Lamborghini Aventador SV and McLaren P1, but this one’s just for you to enjoy. Buy Your Issue Now

According to a press release, the new hypercar “pushes the boundaries and takes the Agera to all new levels of performance.” The Swedish automaker wasn’t kidding. The Agera RS has a new front splitter and winglets, side skirts, dynamic underbody flap system and a dynamic active rear wing. ...only 25 examples of the model are being created All of these modifications contribute to the car’s aerodynamic ability, undoubtedly helpful to the aggressive 1,160 brake horsepower the engine puts out. Koenigsegg even gives buyers the option to modify the engine to run on E85 gasoline with flex fuel for more power. Even with all that muscle under the hood, the Agera RS can give a driver the best of both worlds; the car is equally capable on the racetrack and the road. Splinter: A Wooden Supercar with 600+ HP

At the Essen Motor Show 2015, there was a special supercar debut that was unlike any other. You see, this supercar is made of wood.Called "Splinter," designed by Joe Harmon, this car has a body and chassis that is built almost entirely of wooden composites. This includes woven strips of cherry veneer with a balsa core for the body and a laminated wood veneer monocoque. While it may be odd to see a car made of wood when there are materials like carbon fiber being used, you can't deny that the woodwork and design of this car is gorgeous.Being a supercar, you'd expect there to be some decent power being sent to the wheels. His website states that the included small-block 7.0-liter V8 engine will produce up to 700 bhp, definitely a good amount of power for a wooden supercar. This engine is placed in a mid-engine layout, with rear-wheel drive. The specification sheet for the car tells us of the background for the car, saying it started as a graduate project at North Carolina State University. Harmon then spent roughly five years building the car, with the goal of using wood in every possible application. He hopes that this will "lead to new ideas and perceptions of wood."Gallery (Source: JoeHarmonDesign.com)

McLaren 675LT Spider: It's Finally Here

McLaren Automotive has pulled back the sheets and unveiled the brand-new 675LT Spider, a drop-top version of the popular 675LT. Unveiled in a press release issued today issued by the English automaker, this new model features a retractable roof that "adds further exhilaration" to an already exciting model. This "three-piece retractable folding hardtop" can be operated at speeds of up to 19 mph, for those wondering. Now, when it comes to convertible versions of pre-existing models, there are a few points that need to be addressed. The first is the car's weight, considering the addition of a retractable roof can add a few pounds. As for the 675LT Spider, however, it actually loses 220 lbs, bringing the total weight to 2,800 lbs. Combine that weight with the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 that produces 666 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, and you have a power-to-weight ratio of 4.2 lbs per hp. In the press release, McLaren states that the 675LT Spider will rocket from 0-60 mph in a blistering 2.9 seconds and can achieve 124 mph in 8.1 seconds - just .2 seconds shy of the coupe. Looking for a top speed? McLaren points out in the car's technical statistics that it tops out at 203 mph. If you're interested in adding a McLaren 675LT Spider to your collection, they start at $372,600 USD and will be limited to 500 units globally. Gallery (Source: McLaren)

700 hp Rezvani Beast X is Exclusive and Extreme

The Rezvani Beast has been touted as an incredible track car, coming with a light weight and potent engine. But, the model has just become even more of a monster with the unveiling of the Beast X- the most powerful and exclusive Beast that Rezvani has ever created. As I noted before, the Beast was already a light and powerful car. Now, the Beast X is even lighter and more powerful. It comes packing 700 hp thanks to the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, the same as the standard Beast, now with two Borg Warner turbochargers. Lightweight carbon fiber was used extensively throughout the car, especially its body, to shed more than a few pounds. After the carbon diet, the Beast X weighs in at only 1,850 lbs. Interested? Act quick, because only five examples of the Beast X will be produced, each carrying a $325,000 price tag. If you don't act in time, don't worry, because Rezvani promises more "extreme and exclusive" vehicles with the "X" badge. (Source: Rezvani Motors)

New Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport is Too Extreme for the S...

Porsche has officially debuted the new race car that will be available for recreational or club racing: the Cayman GT4 Clubsport. The car, unveiled on November 18 through a press release issued by Porsche, is based on the already successful and exciting Cayman. It's a great addition to the Cayman range which sits between the Boxster and 911 ranges, and offers a thrilling ride for a great price. With 385 hp on tap, it sits below the legendary 911 GT3 RS (500 hp), but that is mostly because Porsche coins this car as a "mid-engine racer for motorsport newcomers," according to their press release. This power comes from a 3.8-liter flat-six, which exclusively features a six-speed Porsche double-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. Looks as though manual transmission fans missed out again.Being a race car, you'd expect a light weight. Right? Porsche notes that the Cayman GT4 Clubsport weighs in at 2,866 lbs, much less than the GT3 RS' gross vehicle weight rating of 3,792 lbs. The lighter weight was possible through the gutting of the car's interior. Inside the bare cabin, the German automaker added the necessary safety components, like the welded-in safety cage, racing bucket seat and a six-point harness. The press release states that the Cayman GT4 Clubsport is available for $165,000. Interested? You can order the car directly from Porsche Motorsport North America.Caymans For Sale (via Porsche)

Hennessey Performance CTS-V Now Packs 1,000 HP

Hennessey Performance CTS-V Now Packs 1,000 HP

Back in September we were "blown" away by the supercharged news from Hennessey Performance, when John Hennessey and his team of engineers took the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V from 640 hp to 800.In the meantime, they have pushed their Venom GT to only 1,451 hp. So the next logical step was to apply some of this knowledge into making the HPE 800 CTS-V even more powerful. Somehow, they are able to make 800 hp using the factory supercharger, which measures in at 1.7-liters of displacement. The recipe for more power involves more air, so they developed an all-new 2.9-liter blower. By force feeding almost three times the displacement of the Chevrolet Spark into the 6.2-liter V8, they have pushed the third generation to 1,000 hp at 6,300 rpm.Of course, to make this incredible level of power, a host of other modifications were made in order to make it a consistent and reliable system. Forged pistons and rods replace the cast units, and the camshaft is a proprietary grind. Because the larger supercharger makes exponentially more heat, the intercooler and heat exchangers are all new.Stainless headers and high-flow converters make it so everyone will hear you coming, wherever your destination may be.Each engine is professionally installed and dyno-tuned at their factory in Sealy, Texas. This allows them to offer a one year/12,000 mile warranty as part of the package. If you would like to be bothered by tire salesmen calling your house 24/7, the HPE 1000 CTS-V has the power to vaporize the best rubber that money can buy. As soon as video becomes available, you will see them here on Autofluence.CTS-V's For Sale (via Hennessey Performance)
