Bentley Mulliner Unveils New 12-Car Olympia Collection

Bentley is one of the most historic manufacturers in the automotive industry, with roots that stretch back well over a century. In some of the earliest days in that history, Bentley Motors arrived at the 1926 Olympia Motor Show with the production version of its second-ever model line: the 6 ½ Litre, with a six-cylinder engine. The 6 ½ Litre was offered alongside the 3 Litre, diversifying the manufacturer’s range with a larger chassis and more power, and combining performance with refinement. A hundred years later, that formula still lies at the heart of Bentley’s model range today, and a collection of just 12 Bentley Continental GTs has been created by Mulliner to pay homage to W.O. Bentley, the brand’s founder, and look back on the 1926 Olympia Motor Show, one of the earliest milestones in its history. It’s called the Olympia Collection, and it combines the latest Muliner personalization techniques and finishes with historical inspiration. The exterior features a unique Ombré by Mulliner finish, which goes from Verdant to Midnight Emerald. It’s paired with details like Champagne Gold badges, a pinstripe on the lower bodywork, black 22-inch wheels with Champagne Gold accents, special Olympia Collection badging, and an animated welcome lamp. <- Gallery -> The choice of an Ombré exterior was deliberate, as the designers at Mulliner wanted to pay homage to classic British Racing Green with the collection. However, several British Racing Greens existed in the ‘20s, and the copper used in the paint from that time has degraded due to UV exposure. Since there is no standardized British Racing Green, Bentley chose the two extremes, Verdant and Midnight Emerald, and smoothly transitioned them with a gradient finish that requires over 56 hours of work by paint technicians, virtually depicting as many British Racing Greens as possible throughout the gradient. Meanwhile, the interior features a color scheme that is unique to the Olympia Collection. It combines bespoke Coach Green upholstery with Cumbrian Green accents, using a patinaed finish to further distinguish the configuration. Open-pore, crown-cut walnut veneer stained in black, and diamond-knurled controls and dials offer more heritage-inspired details. The collection features Bentley’s Rotating Display, and one of its faces features dials inspired by the 1926 Bentley 6 ½ Litre that was debuted at the Olympia Motor Show. Box stitching on the steering wheel evokes the look of rope-bound steering wheels from the 1920s, and special embroidery in the rear of the car references the story that led to the Bentley 6 ½ Litre. The treadplates feature an “Olympia Collection by Mulliner” motif, and each of the 12 cars comes with a bespoke car cover, a Brooklands watch, a handover box, and a story of Olympia Collection book. Each of the watches, which is exclusive to the collection, is numbered to match its corresponding car, and the straps use a hide that matches the interior. Paying homage to the Bentley 6 ½ Litre and the legacy it paved the way for a hundred years ago, the new Bentley Mulliner Olympia Collection is a stunning homage to the early days of the manufacturer’s rich history. Bentley Reveals The New Torcal’s Intense Development Program

Bentley has opened a new chapter with the unveiling of the Torcal, which is the historic ultra-luxury manufacturer’s first production battery-electric vehicle. As part of Bentley Motors’ Beyond 100+ strategy, the introduction of a battery-electric vehicle is one of the most important pieces to the puzzle of Bentley’s near future. As with any new model, but especially with the Torcal, it was paramount for Bentley Motors to make sure the Torcal was thoroughly developed. To that end, the Torcal underwent an incredibly rigorous testing and development process, which is being revealed by the manufacturer weeks after the car was unveiled to the public. Development prototypes of the Bentley Torcal drove for over 600,000 miles in total. Enduring a diverse range of environments and conditions, the Torcal went from sub-zero temperatures in Sweden to desert heat of over a hundred degrees Fahrenheit. Conquering a wide range of altitudes, the Torcal prototypes went from sea level to of Pikes Peak in Colorado, at over 14,000 feet. Extended Reality, or XR technology, was used to optimize the ergonomics of the new Bentley Torcal, digitalizing the vehicle faithfully, down to its adjustable seats and interactive controls. Meanwhile, the Physical Design Confirmation phase allowed developers to ensure physical parts matched their CAD counterparts, while also testing their fit, clearances, and usability. As an all-electric car, the electrical systems are extremely important in the new Bentley Torcal, and alongside the vehicle architecture, the software was meticulously developed for the Torcal. On a six-week cycle, new software integration levels were developed and carefully tested for safety and dependability. A new challenge for Bentley was that of the battery, as the Torcal is the brand’s first production BEV. Its immense energy density means that one of the biggest priorities for the vehicle was to protect the battery. Bentley did that by requiring two hours of fire resistance in the Torcal’s design, engineering the car to withstand significant underside impacts, and exposing the assembly to salt-spray corrosion, as well as other environmental tests for durability. Camouflaged for its intense development cycle, the new Bentley Torcal was painstakingly validated in order to introduce BEVs to Bentley’s lineup in a way that lives up to the brand’s century-long legacy of automotive excellence. Now that it’s been unwrapped and revealed, the new Torcal has passed its gauntlet of tests to show how an electric-powered Bentley is made. View All Bentley For Sale Image Source: Bentley Motors

The worlds of luxury automobiles and exceptional real estate converged in Sunny Isles Beach on Friday, Oct. 23, as Bentley Motors presented the 2027 Bentley Torcal at Bentley Residences Miami. The private unveiling marked the Florida debut of the British marque’s first fully electric production vehicle and its first entirely new model line in a decade, bringing Bentley’s next chapter in electric mobility to a setting that embodies its approach to craftsmanship, design and exclusivity. Held at the development’s oceanfront sales gallery, the event brought together Gil Dezer, president of Dezer Development, and Mike Rocco, president and CEO of Bentley Motors, Inc. – Americas Region (pictured above), alongside a curated group of guests. The presentation offered an introduction to the Torcal while highlighting the connection between Bentley’s automotive heritage and its first residential tower. Following the unveiling, guests explored the sales gallery and toured a full-scale model residence, including its four-car garage. The showcase offered a closer look at the development’s signature in-home sky garage concept, which brings private vehicle storage directly into the residential experience. A New Chapter for Bentley Representing a new chapter in Bentley’s 107-year history, the 2027 Torcal introduces the marque’s first fully electric production vehicle. Its arrival signals an important milestone for the British luxury automaker, with the Florida debut providing a fitting backdrop for a model that brings electric mobility into Bentley’s evolving vision of luxury. That connection extends beyond the vehicle itself. Developed by Dezer Development in collaboration with Bentley Motors, Bentley Residences Miami is the world’s first Bentley-branded residential tower, translating the automaker’s commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and luxury into an oceanfront residential experience. Rising 62 stories and 716 feet above Sunny Isles Beach, the development will feature 216 ultra-luxury residences designed around privacy, sophistication and seamless indoor-outdoor living. Scheduled for completion in 2028, the tower brings together distinctive architecture and automotive-inspired amenities in a setting overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Automotive Luxury at Home The development’s defining feature is its patented Dezervator, an automobile elevator system that allows residents to drive directly to their residences and park in private, in-home sky garages. The concept places vehicle ownership at the center of the residential experience, creating a direct connection between Bentley’s automotive heritage and contemporary luxury living. The private sky garages are designed to accommodate electric vehicle charging, while fast-charging stations for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids will be available at the base of the tower. These features complement the Torcal’s Florida debut, bringing the presentation of Bentley’s first fully electric production vehicle into a residential environment designed with electrified mobility in mind. Beyond its automotive features, Bentley Residences Miami will offer expansive private terraces, Atlantic Ocean views, private swimming pools and meticulously designed interiors reflecting Bentley’s signature craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each residence is intended to deliver a high level of privacy while emphasizing the relationship between indoor spaces and the surrounding oceanfront setting. Bentley Unveils New Retailer Concept

With this week’s unveiling of the new Torcal, the fourth model line for the manufacturer and the first production BEV from Bentley, the storied British ultra-luxury manufacturer is at a turning point in its century-long history. Combining cutting-edge, futuristic electric vehicle technology and engineering with the elegant design, artisan craftsmanship, and sumptuous luxury that Bentleys have been known for throughout history, the Torcal represents something bold and new, while remaining true to what has made Bentley one of the most cherished names in the automotive world. At the dawn of its new era, Bentley Motors has unveiled a new vision for its brand, as well as its retailers, and it is said to transform 220 Bentley retailers, which are located in 60 markets across the globe. The new visual identity has debuted at Jack Barclay, Bentley’s flagship retailer in London, which was established in 1927 and is the oldest Bentley retailer in the world. The namesake for Jack Barclay is John Donald ‘Jack’ Barclay, a racing driver whose fame originated in Bentley’s early days. Deviating from a traditional showroom space, the new visual identity for Bentley is focused more on hospitality, with stunning architecture, digital features, and tactile materials combined in a way that brings together the exciting future of the brand with its rich heritage. The space is designed to create an unforgettable experience from configuration to experiencing materials, and especially during handovers and deliveries. <- Gallery -> The outside of the retail space features integrated lighting and Bentley’s iconic diamond pattern to help the space stand out on the street, and a curved glass entrance yields to a bar, welcoming guests in a more inviting manner than a traditional automotive showroom. The “Atelier” area features physical samples of materials and finishes, as well as a digital 3D configurator for customers to create spectacular commissions, and cars are displayed amongst gallery and lounge areas. A dedicated handover area allows for a curated experience with special lighting and displays, whether a customer is seeing their new car for the first time or going on a test drive. Throughout the entire retail space, Bentley’s heritage informs the architecture, including curves inspired by the iconic wings, the diamond motif being featured throughout, or the color green being seen in several details. Adaptable for different locations, the new Bentley Motors visual identity seen at Jack Barclay will soon transform Bentley retailers around the world. About the new retail concept, Bentley Motors Board Member for Sales and Marketing Christophe Georges commented, “Our retailers are one of the most important physical expressions of Bentley, and this new concept fundamentally rethinks how customers experience our brand in-person. Combining the craftsmanship and materials Bentley is known for with a more relaxed concept that feels less like a traditional automotive showroom and more like one curated for hospitality.” With its first BEV fully revealed and a new model in the lineup, Bentley’s new era calls for a new visual identity to match its splendor.
