2 Chainz Checks Out S Klub LA's Wild CLK GTR-Inspired McLaren 750S 'Game Over'

Unveiled at SEMA 2026, this extraordinary collaboration with Slang500 brings together modern supercar engineering, outrageous custom bodywork and plenty of 1990s motorsport nostalgia

Some of the wildest custom cars emerge from Southern California, and S Klub LA, the coachbuilder best known for its outrageous Mercedes-Benz-inspired creations, has unveiled something unexpected at the ongoing 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Dubbed Game Over, this one-off project developed in collaboration with Slang500 combines the underpinnings of a McLaren 750S with the unmistakable silhouette of the legendary Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR. The result is an extraordinary mashup of British supercar engineering and German motorsport history, with rapper 2 Chainz among those getting an up-close look at the finished creation.

Finished in a striking red and white color combination, Game Over looks almost nothing like the McLaren underneath its bodywork. Its elongated, low-slung silhouette recalls the Mercedes-Benz GT1 racer, complete with four circular headlights, exaggerated wheel arches and dramatic upward-opening doors. A prominent roof scoop, aggressive front splitter, sculpted side intakes and enormous fixed rear wing further reinforce that connection.

Around the back, four centrally mounted exhaust outlets sit within a custom surround featuring CLK GTR-inspired badging. An equally aggressive rear diffuser dominates the lower section, while the taillights also recall the original Mercedes-Benz homologation special. White HRE wheels wrapped in Toyo tires provide a striking contrast against the red bodywork, with Audison and Voodoo Design also among the names credited with the project.

Step inside, and the McLaren connection becomes more apparent. The cabin retains the 750S's contemporary dashboard architecture, digital displays, and center console, although nearly every visible surface has received a colorful makeover. Red and white leather upholstery, diamond quilting, contrasting stripes, and exposed carbon-fiber trim create an environment far more luxurious than the comparatively spartan original CLK GTR.

As for performance, the original road car featured a naturally aspirated 6.9-liter V12 that puts out roughly 604 horsepower, whereas the McLaren 750S uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 developing 740 horsepower. Built around McLaren's carbon-fiber MonoCage II architecture, the standard 750S can hit 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and tops out at 206 mph. However, S Klub LA has yet to confirm whether Game Over retains those factory performance figures.

Also, for anyone who grew up during the 1990s, the CLK GTR needs little introduction. Beyond becoming a poster car and appearing in numerous racing video games, Mercedes-Benz's GT1 contender dominated its debut season in the 1997 FIA GT Championship, securing both drivers' and teams' titles. Its competition success also spawned an extraordinarily limited production run of just 20 customer coupes and six roadsters, a.k.a. the Straßenversions.

Coincidentally, the CLK GTR was also among the stars of this past weekend's Wynn Concours in Las Vegas, which assembled an extraordinary collection of 19 GT1 cars, including 10 McLaren F1s. The gathering celebrated a remarkable period of endurance racing that also produced the Porsche 911 GT1, one of Mercedes-Benz's fiercest rivals.

S Klub LA is no stranger to ambitious transformations or celebrity clientele. The Southern California coachbuilder previously created a one-off Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon for Drake, while its other creations include the Ferrari 612TR Teppista, several 300 SL Gullwing-inspired builds, an SLR-inspired widebody creation, and the imposing 600 Final Boss, which made its debut at SEMA 2025.

Nearly three decades after the original CLK GTR dominated the GT1 racing scene, its unmistakable design continues to inspire creations like Game Over. And with 2 Chainz already giving S Klub LA's latest project his attention, this modern interpretation is making an impression well beyond the SEMA show floor.
