If you tuned in to Game 4 of the World Series last night, chances are you're still recovering from a game that stretched past midnight. The Tampa Bay Rays kept their season alive with a nail-biting win over the Milwaukee Brewers in a 12-inning showdown at Tropicana Field. Following a look-good, play-good mentality just hours before the first pitch, Rays second baseman Richie Palacios arrived at the stadium behind the wheel of Ferrari’s latest production supercar, the 849 Testarossa.
Aside from Ferrari Collector David Lee, who recently took delivery of the first customer car in the U.S., Palacios is among the first to experience the car that carries the name of one of Ferrari’s most iconic models, the Testarossa. The whole thing came together courtesy of the team at Ferrari of Tampa Bay, who pride themselves on showcasing an impressive inventory of supercars for sale on duPont REGISTRY.
Rather than opting for Rosso Corsa, this spec came finished in a bright blue metallic paint with gloss black accents and two-tone black and bronze wheels. At the rear, a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 with three electric motors produces a combined 1,036 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful road-going Ferraris to date. The hybrid supercar is capable of sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.3 seconds and reaching a top speed of more than 205 mph.
And as for the rest of the night, Richie Palacios was able to celebrate a crucial 4-3 Rays victory in 12 innings that kept Tampa Bay’s World Series hopes alive. Next stop in the series takes place in Milwaukee tonight, where the Brewers look to make history for the organization while the Tampa Bay Rays hope to hang on and live to see another day in this 7-game series.
