If you made it to The Abbey at Aventura on May 2, you already have a sense of what's coming. DRIVEN Cars & Coffee opened the series that morning during Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix weekend, and the crowd quickly spread from The Abbey across to Aventura Mall. More than 500 guests turned out. Over 100 exotic and high-performance cars filled the grounds, Czinger Miami unveiled a one-off 21C VMax, and Gunther Werks Miami brought its color-shifting "Alchemy" Porsche.
That was the opening act.
On Saturday, Nov. 14, DRIVEN Concours returns to The Abbey for the series' flagship event, running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The format moves up to a curated, judged showcase of exceptional automobiles, with VIP hospitality and a full program of food, drink and entertainment built around it. Same venue. A much bigger day.
A Concours With an Open Door
DRIVEN Concours keeps its attention where a good concours should: on design, craftsmanship, innovation and the stories behind each car. What sets it apart is who it's built for.
The field is curated, so every car on display has earned its place. The audience, on the other hand, is meant to be wide. Collectors and dealers will be there, as you'd expect. So will families, South Florida locals and plenty of people attending their first concours.
I love that mix. Watch a longtime owner walk a curious 10-year-old through the details of a car they've had for decades, and you'll understand exactly why it works.
Bring Your Car
If you own something special, consider this your invitation. Vehicle registration is open now for the curated display, and cars selected for the field will be in the running for two awards: Best of Show, Editor's Choice, and People's Choice.
Best of Show is the headline honor, the one people talk about on the drive home. Editor's Choice is often the more interesting award to watch, since it leaves room for a car with a great story or a detail that stays with you. However, the People's Choice award is always a wildcard as it relies solely on the vote of those in attendance, making it an always exciting moment when the winner is announced. Either way, it's a chance to share your car with a crowd that will genuinely appreciate it.
The VIP Experience at JOEY Aventura
For VIP guests, sponsors and partners, the day comes with its own home base. JOEY Aventura, right on site at The Abbey, hosts an exclusive hospitality experience presented by Vintage Modern and Motor Classic. It's a premium setting for networking, entertainment and brand engagement, and a comfortable place to regroup between laps of the show field.
If you're in the business, plan to spend some time there. Some of the day's best conversations will happen over a drink at JOEY.
All purchases of VIP tickets will see 10% of the sales go to the charity partner, Make-A-Wish Foundation.
A Full Afternoon at The Abbey
Beyond the cars, the day is packed. Curated food and beverage offerings and premium cocktails run throughout the venue, along with live entertainment and a series of experiences spread across the property. Six hours is plenty of time to take a slow first lap and still circle back after lunch for a second look at the car that caught your eye.
Part of the appeal is the setting itself. The Abbey at Aventura is an open-air lifestyle destination steps from Aventura Mall, bringing dining, wellness, coworking, retail and culture together across more than 219,000 square feet. With restaurants like JOEY, Jarana and Pura Vida on site, it's a natural home for an event that takes hospitality as seriously as the automobiles.
Plan Your Visit
The spring edition set a high bar for a first outing. November is where DRIVEN shows what the series was built for. Whether you're entering a car or simply coming to see what rolls in, it's worth clearing your Saturday afternoon.
