Check Out Ferrari's New Hypercar-Inspired Hypersail Yacht

While Ferrari is best known for its racing roots and decades of performance, at its core, the brand's real sole focus is on Italian design and craftsmanship. Whether it be engineering the Daytona SP3 for blistering lap times at the Fiorano Circuit or developing lightweight components for open-ocean hypersail racing, the team in Maranello always has two goals in mind: finish first and look great while doing it. As part of Milan Design Week, Ferrari steps off the asphalt and into open water with its new Hypersail contender, a 100-foot flying monohull with hypercar inspiration baked in. Unveiled in Milan with an all-new livery, Hypersail is purely experimental for Ferrari, pushing the brand’s age-old automotive DNA into entirely new territory. The project brings together the Ferrari Tech Team, the Ferrari Design Studio under Flavio Manzoni, and naval architect Guillaume Verdier, creating a collaborative effort between the best in the business. In true Ferrari fashion, the silhouette pays homage to icons like the Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2, while graphics mirror the endurance-winning Ferrari 499P. Carbon fiber makes up the entire design, showcased through a bespoke Grigio Hypersail finish. Even the solar panels, integrated into the deck and hull, are engineered for efficiency and for long ocean crossings.Ferrari’s signature Rosso takes a step back as Nuovo Giallo Fly takes center stage for the livery. Inspired by Enzo Ferrari’s inner circle and first seen on the Ferrari 275 GTB, Giallo has always represented the marque’s “second soul”. The play on color and material mirrors classics like the Ferrari 512 BB, as well as modern icons like the LaFerrari and the F80. Debuted at the Ferrari Flagship Store and HIGHLINE Milano, Hypersail takes Ferrari’s distinctive Italian style off the race track and onto the open waters. All Ferrari Inventory

Ferrari Hypersail and Richard Mille Take Performance Offshore

Some collaborations don’t need much explaining, and Ferrari Hypersail teaming up with Richard Mille is one of them, following their partnership in Formula One. Ferrari Hypersail is Ferrari’s move into high-level ocean racing, where long distances, unpredictable conditions, and constant stress test both people and equipment. It’s less about trophies and more about learning, using racing as a way to explore new materials, better simulations, and smarter engineering. Bringing Richard Mille into that mix feels natural, especially for a watch brand that’s never been shy about putting its products in uncomfortable situations. If you’re not deep into the sailing world, Hypersail isn’t your typical yacht program. It’s built around the same mindset Ferrari applies to cars: strip things down, make them lighter, and see how they behave at the limit. Ocean racing offers a very different kind of challenge from motorsport. There’s no quick pit stop, no controlled environment, and no second chances. For Richard Mille, that’s kind of the point. The brand has made its name building watches that can survive extreme forces, whether on a racetrack, a tennis court, or now, far offshore. Since first crossing paths in motorsport back in 2021, the two have shared an interest in seeing how far their ideas actually hold up in the real world. What’s interesting here is what each side gets out of it. Ocean racing puts watches through constant vibration, salt exposure, and temperature swings that don’t show up in a lab. That kind of wear can reveal things you’d never notice in controlled testing. Those lessons feed back into how future watches are built. On the Hypersail side, having a partner that obsesses over weight, materials, and durability fits neatly with the project’s goals. In the end, it’s like two performance-focused icons comparing notes, using the ocean as their shared testing ground. All Ferrari Inventory

Ferrari Plans To Set Sail With Its New Marine Team Princi...

Ferrari, widely recognized for its historic success on both the street and track, has an interesting side chapter in marine performance. Known primarily for its supercar lineup and racing heritage, Ferrari's exploration into the world of high-performance boats is a lesser-known aspect of its brand story. The 1952 Arno X1 Racing Boat was Ferrari's last attempt at taking its renowned speed and agility to the open waters, until now. Guided by the expertise of Team Principal and renowned navigator, Giovanni Soldini, Ferrari is expanding its frontiers to the high seas. This new venture is about pushing the envelope of what's possible, blending the thrill of competition with a continuous drive for progress. From the drawing board to the open water, every aspect of this venture is infused with cutting-edge technologies. The focus? Achieving peak performance while navigating the waves. But there's more to it than just speed and agility. Ferrari is also channeling its efforts into sustainable solutions, ensuring that this exciting new chapter aligns with its long-standing practice of environmental responsibility. John Elkann, Ferrari's Chairman, expresses his enthusiasm by saying, “We're not just racing against competitors; we're racing towards a sustainable future, breaking barriers along the way.” As Ferrari sets its sails for this thrilling new journey, it promises to bring together the best of different worlds - the adrenaline of racing, the precision of engineering, and the commitment to a greener future. For fans of Ferrari and marine sports, this marks an exciting new chapter, full of potential and innovation. Ferrari's New Teaser Shows What Might Be A Racing Boat

Ferrari teases a possible journey from land to sea. Ferrari has been known for over 75 years as a manufacturer that is full of passion for racing, and while its legacy has been forged by dominating race tracks all over the world, a new teaser has announced that Ferrari is ready to embark on an entirely new endeavor. With images of the ocean taking up a large portion of Ferrari’s current Instagram grid, speculation suggests that Ferrari may be diving headfirst into the waters of marine racing. Promising in the description of its teaser video to “take the race where we never have before,” Ferrari may possibly be bringing its racing efforts to the ocean, and the teaser video also quickly shows a clip of what might be a hydrofoil boat quickly passing by. With an incredible lineup of some of the most beautiful, powerful, innovative and desirable cars ever made, as well as a pedigree and legacy of amazing racing efforts and victories, especially the victory at the 100th 24 Hours of Le Mans race with the 499P, Ferrari’s first top-class endurance racing car in 50 years, this new foray into what may be racing boats is incredibly exciting, and would be sure to make waves (of many kinds) as it materializes. The Only Ferrari-Powered Racing Boat Has Landed in the U....

For the first time ever, the one and only Ferrari racing boat has landed in the United States. What's more, it landed right in the duPont REGISTRY Live booth on Peter Hay Hill at Monterey Car Week. Joining the boat was the owner who brought it all the way over from Italy, where it was being certified by Ferrari Classiche. Called the Arno XI, this boat was created back in the 1950s for one purpose: breaking the World Speed Record on the water. Achille Castoldi proposed the idea to Enzo Ferrari who agreed to help him in his endeavor of creating a boat worthy of breaking the record. Powering this boat is the same 4.5-liter Type 375m 12-cylinder Ferrari engine that was built for the Ferrari 375 race car. Only four engines were built by Ferrari for Formula One in the 1950s, this being one of them. However, this engine was heavily modified for the boat and its total output was increased to around 500 bhp. The Arno XI is truly a magnificent boat and a true piece of Ferrari history that's unmatched. That being said, you could actually own this boat, as it's currently listed for sale exclusively through duPont REGISTRY.
