Nicholas Hoult Stars In New Ferrari “Edge Of Control” Film

By Tyler Rampersaud –  June 30, 2026

Ferrari Drops New Film With Nicholas Hoult

With appearances in films like Superman (2025), and Nosferatu (2024), and the TV sensation Skins, British actor Nicholas Hoult has had a career in which he has played some intense roles. However, outside of acting, another thrilling pursuit of Hoult’s is racing, and Ferrari captured his journey as a first-time racer in a new film that is available on its YouTube channel, Edge Of Control. The new film captures Hoult’s journey through his first wheel-to-wheel racing weekend, which took place at The Thermal Club, an exclusive circuit in Southern California known for its challenging layout and its stunning location. While Hoult was racing for the first time there, his own personal relationship with Ferrari stretches back much further. In his childhood, Hoult had a love for F1 and an admiration for legendary Scuderia Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher, which he shared with his father. On the set of About A Boy, Hoult rode in a Ferrari 550 Maranello for the first time, and that passion evolved into a desire to take on the track, inspired by fellow actor and Ferrari Challenge driver Michael Fassbender. In the film, Hoult compares the moments of preparation for racing to preparation as an actor, relying on his own skill to focus and see him through the task ahead. At the end of the Thermal Club racing weekend, Hoult’s qualifying result of fourth, as well as his fifth- and eighth-place finishes in Race 1 and Race 2, were an especially positive takeaway for a first-time racer in a field of more seasoned drivers. Behind the wheel of the Ferrari 296 Challenge, Hoult raced in the Coppa Shell Am class, making his official Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli North America debut at Thermal. However, his time with the track began much earlier, specifically in 2020 when he entered Ferrari’s Corso Pilota program. With the non-competitive Club Challenge, Hoult was able to build mileage and experience not only on Thermal, but on other tracks seen in the Ferrari Challenge series, like Circuit of the Americas, Sonoma, Watkins Glen, Laguna Seca, and Daytona. Showing the moments leading up to his anticipated racing debut, Ferrari’s new 19-minute Edge Of Control film starring Nicholas Hoult is available to watch on YouTube now. Horacio Pagani's Ferrari Dream Came Full Circle With The First 275 GTB4

Horacio Pagani's Ferrari Dream Came Full Circle With The First 275 GTB4

There are plenty of incredible Ferraris that have become timeless icons, representing significant chapters and moments throughout the marque's history and, more importantly, the legacy of Enzo himself. And sure, bearing witness to cars like the Ferrari 250 GTO reach the eight-figure range says a lot about their place in automotive history, but their true value lies in the inspiration they've provided for generations of designers, engineers, and manufacturers. One of those inspired minds is the founder of Pagani Automobili, Horacio Pagani, who recently sat down with Ferrari Magazine for a deep dive into his love for the Ferrari 275, and more specifically, his 275 GTB4. Horacio’s infatuation with the car started more than sixty years ago after seeing a light-blue 275 GTB on the cover of Automundo magazine, when the dream of owning it was purely that for the young Argentinian sketching cars, tinkering with engines, and carving detailed cars out of balsa wood. Once he moved to Italy and began achieving success producing supercars with his own name on the badge, the love for that Ferrari not only grew, but became a reality to own for Horacio. In 2022, Pagani purchased his Ferrari 275 GTB4 from Sotheby’s auction at Rétromobile. Not just another one of the 280 cars produced, chassis #09021 is the very first pre-series example produced and displayed at the Paris Salon de l’Automobile. Delivered by Ferrari to the importer at its Levallois-Perret headquarters, the 275 GTB4 was registered after the motor show and used as a demonstrator for dealership clients and press reviews. That was only the beginning for Horacio Pagani. Before the car could return to the road, it underwent months of historical research with Ferrari Classiche expert Andrea Modena, followed by a restoration by Kessel in Lugano. Even in its remarkably original condition after decades of sitting, Pagani wasn't interested in preserving it. The car hadn't even been started in years, but for someone known for obsessing over the smallest details, originality alone wasn't enough. Every component, finish, and surface had to be brought back to the standard he believed the car deserved.Ironically, the biggest challenge came after the restoration seemed to be finished. Unsatisfied with the new paint, Pagani dug deeper into the car's history with Ferrari Classiche, eventually uncovering a connection to its past. Egidio Bonfatti, one of the craftsmen who painted special-bodied Ferraris at Pietro Drogo's Sports Cars in the 1960s, had quietly kept an original tin of Rosso Rubino paint in his garage for more than half a century, and it was still usable. After months of testing sample after sample, the team recreated the exact metallic finish that first appeared on chassis #09021 when it debuted 60 years earlier. Source: Ferrari Magazine

Piero Ferrari's Daytona SP3 Features A Historic Livery

For the Ferraris, automotive excellence runs in the family. Almost 80 years ago in 1947, Ferrari began its incredibly revered legacy of creating Italian sports car masterpieces. Founded by Enzo Ferrari, his legacy lives on through Ferrari’s constant pursuit of luxury, stunning design, and performance perfection, as well as through his family. Piero Ferrari, Enzo Ferrari’s son, is one of the most important people when it comes to preserving Enzo Ferrari’s incredible legacy as the vice chairman and part owner of Ferrari’s business. Piero Ferrari’s newest car is an example of one of Ferrari’s most exclusive, rare, and coveted models: the Daytona SP3. Part of Ferrari’s Icona Series of ultra-exclusive models, the Daytona SP3 is the first V12 mid-engined non-hybrid Ferrari since the Enzo, and its purist design is both futuristic and inspired by the ‘60s Ferrari racers that dominated the Daytona endurance race. The example that Piero Ferrari has commissioned goes further in being inspired by the past, with a livery inspired by a specific example of a classic Ferrari racing hero: the 250 LM. Matching the livery of the Ferrari F1 car that won the 1964 World Championship the year before Piero began working for Ferrari, the 250 LM had a white livery with blue stripes and a red interior. When translated to the new Daytona SP3, the special livery shows timeless beauty, and even matches a painting Piero Ferrari commissioned of the original car which hangs in his office today. Test driving the car for the first time after its delivery on Ferrari’s home track of Fiorano, Piero Ferrari’s new Daytona SP3 with its historic livery is a celebration of Ferrari’s rich, storied heritage. Carlos Sainz Bids Farewell To Ferrari With The Delivery O...

Along with holding the title of a professional Formula 1 racing driver, the perks of driving for Scuderia Ferrari HP F1 extend far beyond the race track. For Carlos Sainz Jr., those extras take shape as invitations to configure rare and exclusive Ferrari models like the limited-edition 812 Competizione. And while the 30-year-old Spanish driver will be competing with Williams Racing for the 2025 F1 season, Ferrari perfectly bid its farewell with the delivery of his brand-new $3 million Daytona SP3 supercar. The team at Ferrari Scuderia Monte-Carlo just took to its Instagram to pull the covers on Carlos' Daytona SP3, unveiling a sinister spec that perfectly matches his 812 Competizione. Finished in a stealthy matte black with subtle red pinstriping, only a handful of hidden easter eggs would lead you to believe that it belongs to Sainz. Those custom factory touches, courtesy of Ferrari's Tailor Made division, include Calrlos' #55 on the lower side skirt and his famous, hand-painted 'Smooth Operator' insignia on both the engine intake covers and center console. Inside, the Daytona SP3's all-black carbon cabin is contrasted with red Alcantara sport bucket seats and black racing harnesses. The Ferrari Daytona SP3 packs a naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 engine, borrowed from the 812 Competizione but tuned for even power. It delivers a jaw-dropping 829 horsepower and 514 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the most powerful road-going Ferraris ever. Paired with a quick-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, the SP3 sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.85 seconds, with a top speed of 211 mph. Check Out Canelo Álvarez's Collection Of Exclusive Ferrar...

The lineup features Ferrari's best of the best. Coming off a weekend full of action in the boxing ring, it seems as though we are catching a glimpse into the ultra-luxury lifestyles of the biggest names in the fight world. Along with Jake Paul's $7 million Jacob & Co. Billionaire watch and his $1 million walk-out outfit at the Paul vs Tyson event, Mexican professional boxer Canelo Álvarez decided to join in by showcasing his jaw-dropping lineup of exclusive Ferrari supercars and hypercars in a post on his Instagram page. With a championship-winning career and $250 million net worth, it's safe to say that we wouldn't expect anything less when wondering what lies in his garage collection. In the short clip, Canelo does a quick walk around of his Ferrari 488 Pista, Ferrari LaFerrari, and newly acquired Ferrari Purosangue. Considering the sheer difficulty of securing just one of these examples, Canelo most definitely has some pull in the industry to own three of Ferrari's most expensive models. While the LaFerrari stands out as the pinnacle of Maranello's history with a $3 million price tag and an entry into the hybrid hypercar world, the 488 Pista represents the brand's track-focused DNA with design, technology, and performance derived from Scuderia Ferrari F1. But it's the Purosangue that leads us to believe that Álvarez is a true Ferrari collector, as it is the first SUV from the supercar manufacturer and the most desirable among current Ferrari owners. With high-dollar future fights on his schedule for 2025, we can't wait to see what Canelo Álvarez adds to his car collection next. Ferrari Collector David Lee Takes Delivery Of His Green C...

What a way to celebrate a birthday! Amongst all of the fuel-driven Italian prancing horses engineered by Ferrari, a select few stand out as part of an ultra-exclusive series that carry on the legacy of Enzo and the brand's historic involvement in motorsports. Available only to hand-selected Ferrari owners, models like the LaFerrari, Monza SP1/SP2, and Daytona SP3 often live in impressive collections alongside other Italian icons. It's an experience that brand ambassador Ferrari Collector David Lee knows all too well, showcasing Ferrari's Big Five (288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari) in both red and yellow. David recently documented the delivery of his brand-new Ferrari Daytona SP3, which coincidentally happened on his birthday. In the parking lot of Hing Wa Lee Jewelers, where his car collection resides below in an underground garage, the transport truck opens to reveal the Daytona SP3 finished in an exposed green carbon finish. The eye-catching spec shies away from David's traditional choice of red or yellow, but still falls in line with his 812 Competizione and Roma Spider. A yellow gold, green-dial Rolex 'John Mayer' Daytona even made a subtle appearance in a sea of green. In addition to matte gold wheels, a matching gold SP3 racing stripe was added as a last-minute option and tied together the entire design. While we're anticipating a full review and first drive, a sneak peek into the interior shows off a light canvas-textured cabin. With an 840 horsepower V12 that screams up to 9,500 rpm, it's more than safe to say that Ferrari Collector David Lee will be enjoying Daytona SP3 ownership. Charles Leclerc's Brand New Ferrari SF90 XX Spotted In Mo...

Charles' third new Ferrari this year! If having the opportunity to call yourself a professional F1 driver wasn't already cool enough, having access to some of the world's most exclusive Italian supercars and hypercars may be the extra cherry on top. For Scuderia Ferrari HP team driver Charles Leclerc, he's achieved the dream life of every passionate race fan and car enthusiast. Alongside piloting the F1 team's SF-24 race car throughout the 2024 season, Leclerc has added quite a few other Ferraris to his growing collection of Italian prancing horses. Earlier this year, the 27-year-old was spotted on two occasions in Monaco taking delivery of both a Ferrari Daytona SP3 and a Ferrari Purosangue SUV. Earlier this week, Esso Monaco Gas Station (@esso_monaco) spotted Charles Leclerc's new Ferrari SF90 XX and uploaded the spec to its Instagram page. While it wasn't Charles himself filling up Ferrari's most track-focused variant of the SF90 series, the configuration itself is a dead giveaway that it belongs to him. The stealthy matte black spec perfectly matches his Daytona SP3 down to incorporating his #16 racing number into the design. Inside, the SF90 XX remains in pre-delivery status with protective plastic covering the seats and interior, which leads us to believe that Charles will soon be enjoying it on the streets of Monaco. The Ferrari SF90 XX takes performance to the next level with a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8, paired with three electric motors to deliver over 1,016 horsepower. The hybrid track monster sprints from 0-60 mph in just 2.3 seconds, with a top speed pushing 211 mph. Actor Nicholas Hoult Celebrates Ferrari Challenge Victory...

From the set to the track, Nicholas Hoult has star power. British actor Nicholas Hoult has achieved global fame, with starring roles in the X Men and Mad Max franchises, as well as a role in the Oscar winner, The Favourite. However, Hoult does share one common trait with his character in Mad Max: Fury Road, Nux, and that is a love for racing. Learning to race through Ferrari’s Corso Pilota driving school, the proudest moment of Nicholas Hoult’s racing career thus far is his victory in the timed lap segment of the Ferrari Club Challenge at Watkins Glen. Ferrari Magazine spotlighted Nicholas Hoult’s impressive display at Watkins Glen, and his journey learning to race with Ferrari Corso Pilota. With his impressive 1:49.2 lap of the circuit, it was Hoult’s first time at Watkins Glen. He achieved the time behind the wheel of the Ferrari 296 Challenge, the latest Ferrari Challenge car based on the sensational Ferrari 296 GTB. Compared to the standard supercar, the hybrid system is removed and the Challenge version is distilled for racing excellence, its twin-turbocharged V6 engine good for almost 700 horsepower. Whether he’s delivering moving performances on film and television, or going 170 mph through the straights of Watkins Glen, Nicholas Hoult hones his skills for impressive success. With his Ferrari 296 Challenge race car in the Coso Pilota program, Hoult is a star on the track, just like his illustrious acting career.
