If crossing continents or exploring the great outdoors in five-star comfort is your thing, here is a machine that makes it possible. Meet the EarthRoamer XV-LT, one of the most capable and luxurious off-grid vehicles out there, and this particular example, with just 17,399 miles and the desirable Telluride floorplan, is now up for sale at Prestige Imports in Miami.
EarthRoamer is a company that has spent nearly three decades redefining how far luxury travel can go. Founded in 1998 by adventurer and wildlife photographer Bill Swails, the company began as a personal quest to combine high-end comfort that most recreational vehicles already offer, with rugged, go anywhere capability, and built for expedition.
What started out as a modified Dodge Ram evolved into the first production EarthRoamer built on a Ford F-450 back in ‘03. Today, more than 450 hand-built examples roam the globe, each crafted at the brand’s Colorado facility.
This particular 2019 XV-LT began life as a Ford F-550 Lariat Super Duty chassis and has been transformed into a self-contained expedition machine. It features a single molded fiberglass shell for added durability and insulation. Under the hood sits a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel V8 mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive.
The heavy-duty rig rides on massive 41-inch Continental MPT-81 tires with beadlock wheels, King off-road shocks, and an air-ride suspension system with iLevel control, ensuring it can handle everything from desert dunes to snow-packed trails. With a 90-gallon fuel capacity (including a 50-gallon auxiliary tank), you can cover serious distances without worrying about refueling.
Inside, the aforementioned Telluride floorplan maximizes usable space with dual couches that convert into sleeping areas, a full galley, and an 82-by-80-inch memory foam mattress. Real maple cabinetry, cedar-lined closets, and soft-touch ceilings. It even comes equipped with a biometric safe, Starlink satellite internet, and a surround-sound system.
As for lighting and utility, you get: LED floodlights, a 40-inch front light bar, an electric awning with a wind sensor, air compressors, beadlock wheels with quick inflation control, and a 16,500-pound Warn winch for serious recovery scenarios.
At just 17,400 miles, this truck is barely broken in. It’s smoke-free, pet-free, and treated with care. For anyone considering an extended overlanding or a self-sufficient escape off-the-grid vehicle, the EarthRoamer sits at the top of the food chain and is built for those who want to reach some of the most remote places on the planet, all without compromise, and this particular one can now be yours.
