Embrace An Automotive Legacy: The Best Porsche 911s You C...

There’s nothing quite like the Porsche 911, and nothing will be. It’s one of the greatest icons in the car world, and for good reason. The Porsche 911 is one of the most classic and iconic sports cars to have ever been made, and it’s quite a unique one, as well. Its distinctive shape is instantly recognizable, with its round headlights and rear engine, something that is very rare in today’s car world. Even after its many decades of existence, the Porsche 911’s formula is something that still makes for a wonderful sports car that’s exciting and fun to drive, beautifully luxurious, and always a joy to look at. The best 911 model means different things for different people, especially because the 911 is so diverse in what it offers, with rear and all-wheel-drive, cabriolets, targas, and coupes, and varying levels of performance and options for style, the 911 casts a wide net for car enthusiasts. For example, if you’re looking for track-focused performance, the best Porsche 911 to buy would probably be a GT2 or GT3 model, while amazing luxury sports cars can be found in a Carrera or Turbo model. Because of its icon status, buying a 911 is rarely a bad investment. The best 911 investment car, however, would be one with rare specs and legendary stories, and with years of 911 history and legacy, cars like that are sure to be found. The best 911 for the money is the one that you love the most, and no matter what kind of car enthusiast you are, there’s bound to be a 911 for you. How long has the Porsche 911 been around? The Porsche 911 was first introduced in 1963, which means that 2023 marks its 60th anniversary. For six decades, it's reigned as one of the world's favorite performance cars, and as 2023 is also Porsche's 75th anniversary year as a brand, the celebration of the 911 and its rich legacy is incredibly special. What is the difference between the 911 trims? The Porsche 911 Carrera is the entry-level version of the Porsche 911. However, don't let that designation fool you into thinking the Carrera is anything but excellent. It features a powerful engine, driver-focused features, plenty of luxury, and iconic style. The Porsche 911 Carrera S adds performance and extra features to the mix, slotting it above the Carrera, while the Porsche 911 Carrera T, which stands for "touring," offers weight-saving features for a more visceral driver's car experience. Just below the Turbo models is the GTS, which offers increased performance and excellent sports car characteristics. The Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S offer the most powerful engines in the 911 lineup, as well as the most features and exclusivity outside of the GT versions. Speaking of those, the Porsche 911 GT3 is currently the most race-focused 911 available, as well as its even more potent counterpart, the GT3 RS. In the past, GT2 versions offered even more power, but the current 992 generation isn't offered with a GT2 as of yet. The Carrera, S, and GTS are all standard with rear-wheel drive but available with all-wheel drive, which is indicated by a "4," as in "Carrera 4S." The Porsche 911 is also available in three body styles: as a coupe, or with an open top, either as a soft-top cabriolet, or with as the historically inspired Targa. The Targa is available for the Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, and Carrera 4 GTS, and the original Porsche 911 Targa from decades ago, named after the historic Targa Florio race, is what the "targa top" is named after. What special Porsche 911 models are there? With 60 years of history, Porsche has introduced plenty of special 911s, some paying homage to each other. Some recent and iconic ones include: the Porsche 911 Sport Classic, the Porsche 911 America Edition, the Porsche 911 Speedster, the Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series and more. Are there custom Porsche 911s? With the legend and widespread appeal of the Porsche 911, plenty of firms create incredible custom Porsche 911s. Some notable ones are Singer, Ruf, which has about as much history and legacy as the Porsche 911 itself, as well as even BRABUS, which has been known for its Mercedes-Benz based creations, but has since expanded into the realm of the Porsche 911. With its racing-inspired aesthetics, the Flachbau has become a sought-after option among Porsche collectors seeking a distinctive style. In addition, the build comes equipped with a set of factory chrome three-piece motorsport-style wheels with red Porsche brake calipers. Wrapped in high-quality leather, the interior offers sport bucket seats that provide comfort and secure positioning, a must for a car with such raw power. Analog gauges preserve the classic Porsche experience, with modern amenities of the era like air conditioning and a premium sound system. Every detail, down to the precisely stitched leather and ergonomic layout, is designed to make both driving and riding an exceptional experience. The Porsche 911 Turbo S Flachbau is powered by a turbocharged 3.6L flat-six engine that delivers an impressive 385 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. Its top speed clocks in at around 180 mph, making it one of the fastest cars of its era. Overall, the Flachbau's performance figures stand out as a compelling representation of 1990s high-performance automotive engineering. One-Of-701 1993 Porsche 911 RS America For Sale

This performance legend is a stateside superstar. There’s historical and cultural relevancy in just about every air-cooled Porsche 911 out there. However, in the many decades that the Porsche 911 has been one of the world’s favorite sports cars, many special editions and specific versions of the 911 have captured the hearts of car enthusiasts everywhere. The special 1993 Porsche 911 RS “America” was certainly one of them. While the Porsche 911, especially in its air-cooled iterations, is more of a driver’s car than many of its peers, the America version was even more focused on performance. In order to save weight, the America featured a fixed spoiler and lacked power steering, rear seats, and much of the other versions’ sound deadening. MUST READ: Porsche Unveils Vision 357 Concept As A Tribute To The 356 Ahead Of Its 75th Anniversary Paired with a 3.6-liter horizontally-opposed engine, the 1993 Porsche 911 RS America made good on the promise of being an incredibly fun car to drive, and with only 701 examples of the car in existence, that experience is a unique one. The rare opportunity to not only own one of these incredible Porsche 911s but also one in incredible condition has risen, in the form of this 1993 Porsche 911 RS America for sale at Marshall Goldman Beverly Hills on duPont REGISTRY. Mexico Blue 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Listed for Sale

The 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder, alongside the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari, ushered in a new era of hybridized hypercars. While its electrification undoubtedly drew doubt nine years ago, today, its approach to speed is more widely adopted by cars like the McLaren Artura and Ferrari 296 GTB. So it's safe to say that, like its rivals at the time, the 918 was, in many ways, ahead of its time.  Today, we're listing a bright Mexico Blue example with a contrasting black leather interior with Acid Green accents throughout. It's powered by a 4.6-liter V8 and two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 887 hp. It sends power to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Flat out, it'll reach 60 mph in 2.5 seconds before continuing onto an electronically limited top speed of 214 mph.  Given its low mileage, this example is in excellent condition and would be a great addition to any Porsche collection. Throughout its 21-month production run, Porsche produced just 918 units of its electrified hypercar. The example listed today shows just 1,342 miles on the clock and is immediately available for delivery by iLusso Miami. Paint-to-Sample Stone Gray 2022 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Li...

The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 represents a sweet spot within the brand's GT car lineup. It's small, quick, and above all else, exciting. It's powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, developing 414 hp and 309 lb-ft of torque. In the vehicle listed for sale today, that power goes to the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK transmission.  This 1,045-mile 718 Cayman GT4 is listed for sale by Isringhausen Imports out of Springfield, IL, with an asking price of $159,900. It is a well-optioned example, wearing a paint-to-sample Stone Gray exterior finish. In terms of other exterior options, it features yellow calipers with satin black wheels. Other extras include bucket seats, carbon-ceramic brakes, Bi-Xenon headlights, Chrono Package, and Bose Surround Sound, to name a few. Inside, this GT4 is far more subtle, combining a black leather and Alcantara interior, which contrasts nicely against its exterior finish. It wears subtle light gray contrast stitching on the seats, steering wheel, center console, and dashboard.  Given its low mileage, this GT4 is in like-new condition and is immediately available for sale.
