Watch John Hennessey Pilot The Venom F5 Hypercar On A 219...

John Hennessey, the founder and CEO of Hennessey Special Vehicles, has just reached a significant milestone with the Venom F5 Coupe hypercar, reaching an impressive half-mile speed of 219.07 mph. This result, verified through Racelogic VBOX satellite telemetry and Dragy performance data, highlights the Venom F5's exceptional performance capabilities. Hennessey Test driver David Donohue recorded an even higher speed of 221.92 mph during the same test. Hennessey took the Venom F5 Coupe for one of the half-mile runs, which revealed an acceleration time of just 6.81 seconds from 100 to 200 mph. This speed wasn't anticipated initially but was discovered through the manufacturer's data review. John Hennessey expressed his satisfaction with the results, mentioning the hypercar's impressive power and suggesting that even faster speeds might be possible under different conditions. The update comes shortly after a drag race comparison involving the Rimac Nevera and Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, where the Venom F5 outpaced both. Performance was achieved under challenging conditions, including a dusty surface and high temperatures. The Venom F5 Coupe, fitted with a 6.6L twin-turbo V8 engine producing 1,817 bhp, has shown strong performance on both road and track. Hennessey's continued focus on speed and performance aims to further push the limits of what is possible with hypercars. Source: Hennessey Performance YouTube

CBS Sunday Morning Explores Hennessey's HQ And Its 1,800H...

For those who aren't as in tune with the automotive world, specifically the hypercar industry, it's hard to imagine spending millions of dollars on a car that will take you from point A to point B. For passionate car collectors and enthusiasts, there's no better place to park your money than a high-performance hypercar that will continue to appreciate in popularity and value as a piece of automotive history. The niche world of ultra-exclusive, American-made hypercars is further explained in a CBS Sunday Morning special featuring Hennessey Performance founder John Hennessey and the $3 million Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution.  Exploring an industry prominently dominated by huge names like Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Ferrari, and a few others, John Hennessey and his Texas-based operation knew that they were taking on a tall task: competing with models like the Chiron, Regera, and LaFerrari. Totally aware of the mind-blowing price tag that comes with becoming a Venom F5 owner, John explains that buying a multi-million dollar hypercar is purely emotional. He describes his thinking by saying, "You can buy a people mover for $30k to $40k, so I would argue that every dollar spent over $40k is based on emotion."  Allowing the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution to speak for itself, John took CBS Correspondent Lee Cowan on a tour throughout the production facility to showcase the craftsmanship that goes into hand-building each car. The whole tour of Hennessey Performance wasn't complete before experiencing the Venom F5 Revolution's 1,800 horsepower 'Fury' engine on a blistering lap around the manufacturer's private test track. The laughs and smiles left on John and Lee after unleashing all that the Venom F5 Revolution is the reason why you spend $3 million on a car. Hennessey Breaks COTA Road Car Lap Record With Venom F5 R...

The Circuit of the Americas is dominated by American performance. It wasn’t long ago when Hennessey announced its partnership with racing legend David Donohue, who came together with the common goal of breaking records and redefining the landscape of American automotive performance, and automotive performance as a whole. Now, an incredible record has been broken, within Hennessey’s home state of Texas, where its already-legendary Venom F5 Revolution hypercar has set the new road car lap record at the Circuit of the Americas. With a 2:10.90 lap time, the Venom F5 Revolution eclipsed the Czinger 21C’s 2:11.33 time by almost half a second, and the McLaren P1’s 2:17.12 time by almost seven seconds. On the track, the hypercar hit speeds as high as 193 mph, with its 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing an incredible 1,817 horsepower, and it was also able to pull as much as 1.59 Gs in corners, and -1.61 Gs in braking, making it an absolutely fearsome track machine. With the Revolution variant’s incredible on-track capabilities, the standard Hennessey Venom F5 has incredible ambitions of its own, hoping to eclipse the 300-mph top-speed barrier, and with David Donohue partnering with Hennessey to break the COTA lap record, the journey to the incredibly ambitious 300-mph milestone is one amazing step closer to completion. Watch A Hennessey MAMMOTH 1000 RAM TRX vs. Tesla Cybertru...

This is a battle between two approaches to pickup truck performance. The Tesla Cybertruck, after being anticipated by the automotive world for years, is making waves when it comes to its performance and innovation. However, in its latest video, Hennessey asks the question: how does the Cybertruck stack up to one of the best gasoline-powered performance trucks? That truck is Hennessey’s MAMMOTH 1000 RAM TRX, a Ram TRX that has been upgraded to produce an incredible 1,000 horsepower. To put both trucks to the test, they battled it out in a drag race. While the tested Cybertruck wasn’t the “CyberBeast,” it was rather the all-wheel-drive “Foundation” series dual-motor Cybertruck. Despite its ability to deliver torque more quickly with electric power than combustion engine power, the incredibly powerful MAMMOTH 1000 TRX was able to come out ahead in all three runs of the race. Regardless of which truck won the race, both are excellent examples of engineering, innovation, and pushing boundaries in the truck world, and the automotive world in general. Whether it’s the Tesla Cybertruck, or it’s the Hennessey MAMMOTH 1000 RAM TRX, high performance thrills and pickup truck practicality can come in the same vehicle. View All Ram TRXs For Sale

Hennessey Celebrates "World Fastest Car" Anniversary With...

Will we see another American-made hypercar make a world record pass this year? As the already niche hypercar industry continues to grow with willing contenders who showcase their strengths behind the wheel of their high-horsepower machines, the ultimate achievement amongst all is holding the title for the highest top speed. Speed icons like Bugatti and Koenigsegg began the fight and modern marvels from Texas-based Hennessey Special Vehicles secured the big win with their American-made hypercar in 2014. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Hennessey Venom GT achieving a verified world record 270.49mph top speed to become the fastest production car ever. Hennessey exceeded the previous record of 268.86mph held by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. Today, Hennessey Special Vehicles is commemorating its milestone celebration by announcing its future plans of reaching the 300mph mark with the Venom F5. Hennessey is cruising in the production category, having now placed 22 Venom F5 hypercars with happy new customers. The team is zeroing in on shattering the V-max for 'America's Hypercar'. The Venom F5 is a beast with 1,817 horsepower produced from its twin-turbo V8, which previously hit over 270mph at Cape Canaveral's former NASA Shuttle Landing Facility in Florida. The quest is now to find a stretch of runway or public road long enough to break past 300mph and come to a stop with safety to spare. John Hennessey, the visionary founder and CEO, is riding high on competitive spirit, welcoming rivalry from giants like Koenigsegg and hopefully Bugatti, stating, "It’s rivalries like this that fuel our passion, and drive us to go faster, innovate more, and push harder!" With the delivery milestone and a knowledgeable team, the focus is on unleashing the Venom F5's full velocity potential, promising an exhilarating journey ahead in the high-speed hypercar space.
