Limited to 15: Lamborghini’s 1,065 HP Fenomeno Breaks Cover as the Brand’s Most Powerful Roadster Ever

Revealed during Lamborghini Arena at Imola, the roofless V12 hybrid preserve the Coupé’s downforce and stability in speedster form

For nearly a year, the Lamborghini Fenomeno story has unfolded in stages, and we knew about it as early as June last year. Then came the official debut of the Fenomeno Coupé during the 2025 Monterey Car Week, where duPont REGISTRY was on site to capture Lamborghini’s latest Few-Off creation as it broke cover. Even then, it was clear the story was not finished.

Now, Lamborghini has revealed the next chapter earlier than expected with the debut of the Fenomeno Roadster at Lamborghini Arena in Imola, Italy, and it comes just a month after Lamborghini recapped the lineage of its few-off Roadsters and the Raging Bull brand marking its 63rd anniversary earlier this week.  Limited to just 15 examples worldwide, the open-top hybrid flagship becomes the most powerful roadster ever produced by the Italian automaker. It combines a naturally aspirated V12 engine with three electric motors for a combined 1,065 horsepower.

The Fenomeno Roadster builds directly on the architecture and philosophy introduced by the Fenomeno Coupé in 2025, while re-engineering the entire upper aerodynamic structure for roofless driving at speeds exceeding 211 mph. Lamborghini says the redesign achieves the same downforce and stability targets as the hardtop, despite doing away with the fixed roof and upper intake system.

“Fenomeno Roadster represents the purest expression of our brand values: visionary design, uncompromising performance, and absolute exclusivity. It is a unique interpretation of driving emotion, created for a select group of customers who seek something truly beyond convention. Each example is conceived as a collectible masterpiece, where engineering excellence meets true bespoke craftsmanship” -Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.

At the heart of the Fenomeno Roadster sits Lamborghini’s 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12, producing 835 horsepower at 9,250 rpm. Combined with three electric motors and a 7 kWh lithium-ion battery, the hybrid system launches the car from 0 to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds and to 124 mph in 6.8 seconds.

The Roadster also reflects years of experimentation from Lamborghini Centro Stile under Design Director Mitja Borkert. Over the last several years, Borkert has publicly showcased multiple open-top design studies and dramatic speedster concepts, many of which hinted at the visual direction now seen on the Fenomeno Roadster. The ultra-flat windshield, floating engine treatment, sculpted rear humps, and sharply tapered cockpit architecture all carry themes Lamborghini enthusiasts have watched evolve through sketches, concepts, and one-off presentations.

Aerodynamics became one of the defining engineering challenges. Lamborghini redesigned airflow around the windshield and cockpit while integrating a carbon fiber wing directly into the windshield structure itself. The system channels cooling air toward the V12 while minimizing turbulence at high speed. Behind the cabin, low-profile rollover structures were integrated into the bodywork to preserve airflow efficiency without compromising rigidity or safety.

The chassis itself uses Lamborghini’s carbon fiber monofuselage structure derived from the Revuelto program, integrating Forged Composite components throughout the front structure, side sills, and crash elements. Lamborghini says the Roadster achieves nearly identical rigidity figures to the Coupé while adding only a few kilograms.

Finished in Blu Cepheus with Rosso Mars accents inspired by Bologna’s traditional colors, the Fenomeno Roadster seen here pays tribute to Lamborghini's heritage, referencing the iconic 1968 Miura Roadster one-off we spotlighted not too long ago. Where the coupe has a production run of just 29 units with a diverse range of possibilities through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program, only 15 units of the Fenomeno Roadster are planned; the Fenomeno Roadster immediately becomes one of the rarest and most technically advanced V12 Lamborghinis ever created.
