Forza Horizon 6 Initial Gameplay Unveiled

The new open-world racer set in Japan is one of the most anticipated racing titles yet.

The Forza Horizon series of games envisions an automotive enthusiast’s ultimate fantasy: a festival dedicated to fast cars and fun, with a vast environment to explore and drive a massive number of vehicles. However, the sixth entry to the series is one of the most anticipated, as it’s delivered on a long-time promise for the game to be set in Japan, one of the most unique and significant car culture hubs on the globe.

Now available for pre-order, the game will be released for Xbox consoles and PC on May 19, 2026, and later this year, the game will also be available for PlayStation players. As the date for release nears, Forza has revealed the first 6 minutes of the new game’s gameplay in a new video. Over 550 real-world cars are said to be available to drive in the upcoming game, and the first one players will get behind the wheel of is the iconic Nissan GT-R, alongside the Acura NSX and the McLaren 750S.

After that, players will take a spin on the snowcapped mountains in the 2021 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR Pro 4 Truck, drive the 1995 Porsche 911 GT2 on a “touge” mountain pass, and drive Toyota’s Gazoo Racing GR GT Prototype, the new flagship supercar that also takes a prestigious position as the game’s cover car alongside the Toyota Land Cruiser, succeeding the Mercedes-AMG ONE, the McLaren Senna, the Lamborghini Centenario, the Lamborghini Huracan, and the Dodge Viper in previous titles. As the wait for Forza Horizon 6 winds down, players can get even more excited with the first six minutes of gameplay revealed.
