Maserati is one of the most foundational Italian automotive manufacturers, and 2026 marks a century of the brand’s involvement in the world of motorsport. In the past hundred years, Maserati has not only enjoyed victory and triumph, but has also created icons and pushed the racing world forward over the decades. Now, partnering with Italian startup AS.CAR.I, the brand is combining technology and motorsport with its latest project.
It’s called Track Assist, and Maserati Corse unveiled the project in Tampa, Florida at the 2026 Motorsports Club of Clubs (MCC). Held at Tampa’s Motor Enclave, the 2026 MCC was the sixth edition of the event. There, Maserati showed off a GT2 Stradale equipped with the Track Assist technology, a “digital trainer” that supports drivers on the track as they develop their skills. The Active Performance Control, or APC system, in the technology works with the car’s integrated braking system.
Using braking and acceleration management, Track Assist can determine the optimal braking points for different tracks across the globe, reducing driving errors and helping drivers maintain as much speed as possible through the apex. Unlike driving assistance systems made for safety on the road, Track Assist is designed specifically to help drivers without replacing them.

Partnering with Maserati for the project, the software, algorithms, and more are proprietary to the AS.CAR.I startup, which was founded in 2023. The technology will make its debut in Maserati’s Master Maserati Driving Experience in 2027, making the program one of the first of its kind to feature such technology. In Tampa, the Maserati showcase not only included the GT2 Stradale with the Track Assist technology, but also a static display of the 1-of-62 Maserati MCXtrema, and the New Grecale, the latest Maserati luxury performance SUV. Bridging technology and motorsport, the new Track Assist technology by AS.CAR.I and Maserati Corse aims to revolutionize motorsport training.
